I really don't know what to say.  For those that don't know this is my first build since 2001 and my first taste of liquid cooling.

That being said, my hybid kit arrived today.  I installed it earlier and just ran a stress test.

A 33 min run... it ran 42C until minute 31... then 43C for the last 2 minutes.

That's down from peaks of 83-84C with the stock FE cooler fan at 50%... peaks of 60C with fan at 100%.

Are you freaking kidding me?

Idle temps are 20-21C.

Color me impressed.  Totally amazing... and the logo matches again with the white/black theme.  No more green GTX crap...

Just installed mine last night and wow this card runs 10+ C cooler than my 980ti Hybrids, very happy. I am at 24c idle and 41c max, like a whole new card.

Those temps are really impressive, I just bought an AIO for my CPU and although it helped amazingly and allows me to game at 5.0 it's not as dramatic as the temp difference you seem to have gotten,  Nice job!

What  Vcore do you get on your 7700K @ 5 GHz?

Then maybe they have the rad installed lower than the pump or the pump is defective. My pump is silent just like the last two hybrids i owned.

Great to see you got the thing installed Hemi!  Got any hints, tricks, things to watch out for during the installation process?  Anything that stood out to you as overly complicated, difficult or not mentioned in the directions?

Yeah I'm amazed at the decrease.  I think I can OC the card a bit further now and improve performance.

Pretty awesome.  I'm gonna delid the CPU today as well and try to improve on the 4.8 ghz 1 button OC I have now.

This hybrid kit and the delid are the last 2 things on the list then I think I'll officially be "done" tinkering with this PC... 2 months after I built it.  LOL

I didn't know that.  It's not something on my every day to do list but I used it last night after the install to test.  If there's something you guys recommend please let me know.

    Is Hemi in this thread??

As previously mentioned the instructions weren't all that great and actually skipped a few what they may have considered common sense steps... (putting the back plate on prior to mounting the pump)  It was my first time doing this and I figured that out as soon as I tried to mount the cooler on the GPU... LOL

There wasn't anything overly difficult, it was just time consuming.  I have a 53 pc tool set as well as a precision tool set which just happened to include the 4mm socket you need for all those screws on the backplate.

On ease of installation it's an easy 8.5/10...  If I were to do it again it'd be a lot faster.  This time took me a few hours... but I wasn't rushing either.

I am now.... Anyhow....Nvidia considers 'Furmark' a power virus. Though EVGA uses the same style 'Furry' app to stress the GPU. Furmark itself is flagged in the driver to limit power draw. You can bypass this and really heat up your GPU. Personally, the only thing I use it for is testing the themals, similar to you. If it can handle a solid half hour and your temps are within the range you want, it should be good to go for any gaming scenario.

Haha... I knew that would get you to show your face!   This thing is just sick... 84C down to 43C?

    Just wow.

    Is yours on the way?

Thanks for the tip on the Furmark.  As I said it's not something I use every day... in fact, I just use use it for testing thermals like this.  Yeah the run was 33 minutes so I'm 100% certain I'm good to go.  Gonna push the OC further and do fresh benchmarks later this weekend and post back with results.

I must admit I'm a bit rough on the terms, I set 1.29 with a .035 offset, I guess I would have to say that it's 1.32 but it does peak above per HWinfo after a long BF1 session.

    Sup duke!

Anyways, you can check that by running Hwinfo64 and stress the processor a bit. That should give us the min/max/current/avg.

No worries... the car does have a Hemi... and no, I read the part in the instructions where it went from "put the die cast module on the PCB" to "remove plastic cap on waterblock and use the 4 spring screwed previously removed" and didn't mention anything about putting the backplate on first.

I figured out though as soon as I pickup up the waterblock and the first screw... I was like "wait a minute."

Give me a break... first timer.  :)

BTW, not sure about avatars, haven't been here that long, but yes, that's my car... a 2015 custom 5.7L...

Thanks!  I'm still picking my jaw up over here.  1 hour this morning running games and demos and temps were a steady 39-40C and then peaked at the same 42-43C... idling has actually been lower than previously stated.

    19C.

    So cool...  pun intended!
:X shoot 19c idle that's lower then my ambient.after the hybrid install what kinda boost clocks are you seeing ?

All these temps are with the same stable OC I did last weekend.. +160/+180.  I haven't attempted to OC it further yet... I'm about to delid the CPU and then once I get her back up running I'm gonna start seeing what I can do to push the GPU OC further.

The CPU is a 1 button 4.8 and I wanna go for 5ghz on that as well.

How is the noise? Some other thread says the pump is loud?

That's probably because there's air pockets lodged in the pump and or being circulated throughout the loop.  Best thing to do is have the rad elevated from the pump so they stay in the rad.  Sure it's possible of being a bad pump but the odds of that are fairly low.

As for Furmark benching, it's one of the extreme GPU benchmarks out there.  Really don't need to use it since it goes beyond real time environments.  One of the few benchmarks and apps I like to use are 3DMark, Heaven and Folding@home is another great one for OCing stability testing since it pushes your GPUs really good other than the extreme Furmark.  While this is all going on, GPUz is a great monitoring tool along with PrecisionX but I haven't used PrecisionX since it's been harassing me for some GPU info.

+160 is pretty nice and with the water cooler it is probably staying at full boost where the fe cooler would be drooping down. I can only manage 130+ on the core 140 causes crashes , was 180 on memory where you stopped seeing performance gains?

Thanks for the info!  Yeah I use all those except for the Folding one... will have to check that out.

Yeah as said that +160/+180 was with the FE fans at 100%.  I called them stable when they passed a 30 min stress run.  I'm pretty confident I'll get bigger numbers with the hybrid.

As for the memory, I really don't recall but I think so.  Looking back at the notes I took I can tell you that it crashed at +175/+0.  When I ran a +150/+250 I got a 22,500 Firemark score... then I ran it again 20 minutes later and got a 21,700 score.  Maybe it was throttling back?

+150/+150 got me 22,632 and the +160/+180 got me the 22,747 top benchmark.  I quit at that point didn't see a need to push it further...

Can't wait to bench this hybrid kit later!

Hope you realize your warranty will become invalid once you delid your CPU.  If you already know this, carry on. lol

Yeah I knew that.  Just looking for cooler temps... I peaked at 92C on my CPU.

92C Under water?  Holy smokies!  What were you doing when you got to that temp?  I am concerned when mine makes it to 70C!  :-)
