Just wondering, how many 3050s will EVGA plan on selling? More than the other 30 series cards? Or about the same?

Hello everyone, I am really looking forward to get a EVGA RTX 3050 card for my wife. Perfect card to play all these wifey games :) . I was able to get on the notify list very quickly in Europe but not sure about that new queue system. I have a EVGA score of 60. Is that good or bad? The last card I bought was a 3060 TI in December 2020. I am because of that at the end of the line? Thanks everyone and thanks to EVGA.

Hey everyone, I queued for the 3050 9 seconds after the EU Queue was opened (but I'm not Elite and I have 0 EVGA score). Approximately I would need to wait a lot of months or just about 1 month? I'm pretty new to this, so sorry if this might be a stupid question :D Thanks!

It is written in the description The EVGA Score is comprised of three main factors – EVGA purchases, EVGA Bucks earned, and EVGA Blue Ribbons earned on the EVGA Forum. plus Purchase EVGA products from an authorized reseller to raise your score. The point value for each product depends on the product category and part number of each additional EVGA product you successfully register to your account ... I knew this would happen when I tried to build my own computer. But for some reason I tried to hold out hope that I would get one without too much tooth pulling. Fingers crossed things change this week... but I'll prepare for disappointment.

this is cool. Excited to see what the next gen of budget gaming is. So many people don't want to get into pc gaming because of cost. With most playing 1080p on consoles it will be cool to see people be able to get more frames out of 1080p on the lower end builds. Wonder what will happen with msrp here and how much more these "budget" cards prices will be pushed. Time will tell.

TwoEvilOne Im really shocked that the queue for the EVGA GeForce RTX 3050 XC GAMING, 08G-P5-3553-KR, 8GB GDDR6, Dual-Fan, Metal Backplate Notify has been open all weekend.
I'm not surprised to see it still open, even now. It's a lousy value for a card that struggles to get 1080p 60 fps on many games. I think people are moving on to other hobbies or just hanging on to their older systems for longer.
Agreed. I don't see it closing any time soon. Hybrids, HCs and K|NGP|Ns will be the ones that open and close more quickly. The original windows for the 3050 and 3080 12gb that were measured in minutes, not days were test windows....

The problem is not the queue is still open, it is ridiculous that people are awaiting cards from over 1 year, the message is loud and clear... we don't want sell you a card period. If EVGA want really to sell to consumers/gamers why don't selling cards only online ? nothing to distributor/oem ? it's nothing about shortage, Dell get the card, big oem get the card, miners get truck of card directly at the farm, consumer get nothing, simple like that. Everyone spend money as they like but with the 4000 series land in late 3Q, with massive performance boost, don't make sense to buy now a $800 dollar model that you don't ever like at 2,000+ and also await months.....better await the storm to pass, the storm will pass no worry. 3050 don't interest only gamers, if you are about photography or video, and want some good card at good price, it looks great. 8GB VRAM, latest architecture, more future prof with driver..

Respectfully disagree. If EVGA didn't care about selling cards to bona fide gamers and pc enthusiasts, they never would have tried to come up with a queue system in the first place. They will sell every 30 series card they bring to market, full stop. They have tried (repeatedly) to pull together a system (in the middle of the 30 series launch...) to address a problem that was not of their own creation. NVIDIA priced the cards wrong, overhyped the cards and had too little supply to satisfy demand. There is a lot of blame to go around...and perhaps EVGA deserves some...but definitely not the lion's share. And, in my opinion, the existence of the queue does not prove that they "don't want to sell you a card period"; in fact, I would argue -- and just did -- that it is the exact opposite.

Talked to my weekly gaming buddies and convince them to try consoles again while waiting video card prices to go down to normal. The XBOX Series S performance is greater than 2 of their systems and XBOX Series X performance is greater than the other two systems. I just put an order for two new XBOX Series S, Available for MSRP and in stock, much easier to buy than a similar performing video cards. Each costing less than a RTX 3050 for a whole system. The last console I owned was back in 2001 the original XBOX. I also found out you can use a mouse and keyboards on some XBOX games, it basically a low cost dedicated 8 core 1080p (S model) and 4K(X model) gaming PC. Even a game pass availiable for PC and XBOX making it easier to try new games as a group.

The price shown on eu.evga includes custom or import taxes for EU. The only thing you pay is your VAT and around 16 € in shipping.

Despite Sony's purchase of Bungie announced today, if you are going the console route, I continue to think that Xbox Game Pass provides one of the best values in gaming. And, for what it is worth, Sony has verbally committed to keeping Bungie's development multiplatform (given the $3.6B purchase price, I would hope so).

Two the most resent games the group started to play was discovered on the PC version of the Game Pass by one member. We most likely would not have bought these game otherwise. Not giving up on PC gaming getting an Ultimate Game Pass for both PC and XBOX games. If games are too slow on the older PC systems we can try the console versions.
