well...my only hope of buying this new GPU at a realistic price is slim. I can only hope if I win the Newegg Shuffle with luck. Is it difficult for big companies like EVGA to announce the launch plan for their new GPUs? They just had to say that the XC Black model would not be in the Queue system, we don't even know if they really have stock of this model or if tomorrow it can be purchased on their website, while the XC with the 80$ backplate I don't know if there are still any left They don't let you know where you are in the Queue or if they have any stock left.

it's like they want us not to buy it.

I'm not sad just disappointed....

Ugh yeah suffered same problem and ended up being around 16 or 17 minutes past the hour when I signed up for the XC Gaming as I gave up on the Black, only to realize the Black was for tomorrow. That sucked and with me spending minutes on this the entire retail sector minus Micro Center (not near one) and Newegg Shuffle (did try my hand at that, failed as predicted) was completely out of stock, yikes. Pretty disappointing and would've been a quite sour day if it wasn't for a nice person that gave his winning spot in the Newegg Shuffle to me, and funnily enough it was the same damn GPU I avoided that fateful morning, the XC Gaming. Given my second chance, I immediately accepted it and purchased that sucker and woo hoo I got that XC Gaming at $329, which is still a good deal compared to where the market will be taking this GPU very quickly towards, that $400-500 territory. :( Don't worry, pretty damn thankful I got it, because it was that or a sad chance to dive at one with millions of other interested upgraders and purchasers tomorrow.

Guess a lesson to learn: never aim for the Black models as an Elite member. Good luck to those with a second chance at a 3050 in the Queue tomorrow, or well later today since it's 1AM for me.

So, you just bough 329$ model? When did you sign for the queue? And when did you receive email from evga to buy a GPU

From what I can tell, the Black series are the main base model retail SKUs.  Have been for at least a decade.  AIBs make more money off their upgrades than the reference boards.
Not sure if you're aware, but businesses don't survive if they don't make a profit.

EVGA's base series Black cards didn't come around until the 10 series cards, so that was around 2016 at earliest. There was a Titan Black card, but it was the top high end card at the time and it came out in 2014. So no the Black series cards have not been around for a decade.

Thanks for the info.  I bought my first evga card 20 years ago at Best Buy and assumed that the retail versions weren't the same as the internet models available from the start, because I never saw them in BB.

My first EVGA card was a TNT2 card that I bought from Newegg. Wish Newegg still kept records that far back like they used to, but now they only keep records from the last 10 years. Pretty sure I still have the card in a box somewhere.

I hope I am wrong, but I do not believe that the 3551 button will turn on tomorrow.  I am confident that there will not be a queue for the 3551 anytime soon.

Congratulations on the XC Gaming, by the way.  Glad it worked out for you.

I started exclusively buying EVGA brand graphics since 2007, 15 years ago with my first EVGA 640-P2-N821-AR 8800GTS for $337.99 from Newegg.  The longest I have been loyal to a single graphics company. Not a single card ever failed even when being handle down when the tech was no longer on the edge of modern gaming.  Before EVGA I was a loyal ATI graphic card owner until I had trouble with ATI customer service that trigger a change in loyalty. Before ATI I was a loyal customer to 3df but they stopped providing "value and performance".

I currently own a EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 XC Black Edition Gaming which may be my last EVGA card,  I wanted to get in line for a EVGA GeForce RTX 3050 XC Black Edition Gaming to buy for my son, but even as an Elite Member, I was not allowed.

I was told getting Elite Member would give 24 hour early to newly released products, not true.  I am told to just sign up for $80 back plate version.  I was EVGA customer because of the "value of their" products.  If EVGA wants to profit so bad to the point of losing customer loyalty, just go sell everything directly of Ebay to the highest bidders.

You're getting that bent over $80? Maybe you should not be buying a video card at this time if money is that tight.

I have to agree with jimla65 but I also think we would all feel a little better if there was some communication about the 30050 XC Black and its queue.  I like many others were hoping to purchase XC Black and not XC gaming.

Transform and roll out.

Yesterday the store page just said out of stock. Today the page said queue is disabled due to high demand like all the rest of the series. So it looks like it will not be opening up for purchase or signup. (Unless I missed the auto notify button last night/this morning)

Will elite members have some privilege on 249 $ models queue?
Still want to grab cheaper model. Got unlucky on other stores like newegg or amazon...

Re: Introducing the EVGA GeForce RTX™ 3050 2022/01/28 05:48:15 (permalink)
Well for a comparison I got an auto notify last night from Newegg on an ASUS Dual AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT OC Edition 4GB that was made on launch day and got one before the stock went out again. It was still at the MSRP of $199.00 that AMD set.
I would love to get an EVGA RTX 3050 because it looks so much better and I love the quality of their product, but this AMD is a definite upgrade from the GTX 1050, and now when I get the chance at the 3050 I don’t know if it is going to be worth the $130 more, but $50… that’s a no brainer.
I also bring it up because still 9 days after launch and there are some MSRP stock still being released by another company. I hope EVGA at least still keeps feeding these to Newegg at MSRP so there is a chance in the shuffle.

People talking about the effort you have to put to get a card today... I totally agree, but how sad is that? Today is not only about money anymore, but you have to put also your time to dig, read, be on discord channels and blablabla. Finally the card is much more than the money value $, but also your time. How much is your time?

There won’t be many of the cheaper 250$ cards made I wouldn’t get your hopes up to much for it. Best bet just que up for the one with the back plate that’s overclocked it’s 80 $ more companies like to make money they prob are not makeing much on the 3050 and would of rather make 3060 gpus or higher ones instead I am sure if you want one get in the que before it gets locked up and maybe in time you will get a notification it’s better than nothing I guess

Took 30 seconds to enter the Newegg Shuffle.  So 30 seconds is 1/120th of $250 an hour of working time. So maybe $4 of time?

No. If "Auto Notify" goes live today, then it will be a general public queue. But Queue 3.0 means it is no longer "first come, first served" anyway, the time-stamp is pretty much the lowest priority tie-breaker now.

Could someone from EVGA please confirm that there will be no XC Black queue? or at least confirm that you guys will announce it beforehand? Would save many of us a lot of wasted time.

Time does not matter anymore. Time is pretty much the LAST factor that is looked at.  people with EVGA score will get higher priority.
