jimla65 I started exclusively buying EVGA brand graphics since 2007, 15 years ago with my first EVGA 640-P2-N821-AR 8800GTS for $337.99 from Newegg. The longest I have been loyal to a single graphics company. Not a single card ever failed even when being handle down when the tech was no longer on the edge of modern gaming. Before EVGA I was a loyal ATI graphic card owner until I had trouble with ATI customer service that trigger a change in loyalty. Before ATI I was a loyal customer to 3df but they stopped providing "value and performance". I currently own a EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 XC Black Edition Gaming which may be my last EVGA card, I wanted to get in line for a EVGA GeForce RTX 3050 XC Black Edition Gaming to buy for my son, but even as an Elite Member, I was not allowed. I was told getting Elite Member would give 24 hour early to newly released products, not true. I am told to just sign up for $80 back plate version. I was EVGA customer because of the "value of their" products. If EVGA wants to profit so bad to the point of losing customer loyalty, just go sell everything directly of Ebay to the highest bidders.
You're getting that bent over $80? Maybe you should not be buying a video card at this time if money is that tight.
I don't waste money, that's why I buy EVGA in the past. I retired early and live in Hawaii. It is a pain getting video cards, I have to get up at 4AM (6AM PST) to try to get in the queue. No electronics stores that sell gaming cards locally on the Island.

Then why did you even enter for it? You knew the price beforehand. When you enter for cards you DONT want you screw up your chances on the ones that do. SMH

I have yet to see a single person who managed to get into the XC Black queue.

As far as most of us can tell it was never opened. If it was it was for a SPLIT second and only the person who got into it saw it. The popular opinion is that they made enough to send to Newegg to meet their contractual agreement with NVidia on MSRP and the rest went to streamers. Best Buy didn't even get any of the $249.

From the other topic: Keep in mind once you buy this cheap 3050.... you will be moved to the back of the line (over and over again) for all future 3xxx series cards via the queue so ALL people in queue that have never bought a 3xxx via queue will have priority over you. ;)

Unfortunately, corporation does corporation things. If you've been here for past launches you'll already have known that EVGA give least attention to their lowest priced models. Why sell at a lower price when everything flys out the door at a higher price?

dust0000 Well for a comparison I got an auto notify last night from Newegg on an ASUS Dual AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT OC Edition 4GB that was made on launch day and got one before the stock went out again. It was still at the MSRP of $199.00 that AMD set. I would love to get an EVGA RTX 3050 because it looks so much better and I love the quality of their product, but this AMD is a definite upgrade from the GTX 1050, and now when I get the chance at the 3050 I don’t know if it is going to be worth the $130 more, but $50… that’s a no brainer. I also bring it up because still 9 days after launch and there are some MSRP stock still being released by another company. I hope EVGA at least still keeps feeding these to Newegg at MSRP so there is a chance in the shuffle.
You where able to get that because you got ripped off. That card should cost $50 and still would have been a rip off. AMD should be shot for releasing that card. If you don't know what i am talking about look at some reviews online. Nvidia jacking up prices because we are in a shortage and they can do what they want. We bend over and take it and say thank you.

Exactly. Anyone who buys that would be like shooting oneself in the foot. Asus ROG Strix 3050 vs Asus ROG Strix 3060 prices have only ~12% (~$60) difference (both are in Newegg shuffle TODAY btw). But there's a significant gap in performance between the two. So if I'm considering to be gouged anyways, I'd go with the Asus 3060 instead.

kram36 Money sounds tight for you, stop wasting money on toys. This is not a need product, it's a want product. In this current market, get over not being able to queue for the $80 cheaper card on launch day.
I see what you are saying, but there has to be some pushback on pricing. "The RTX 4050 is $800? Stop complaining, you don't need it anyway!" If components get too expensive, far less people will build and use PCs, which means games will be less inclined to code/port to PCs, which means the hobby could see a decline into irrelevance. Hopefully that doesn't happen, but voting with our wallets is definitely a good idea.

If that happens, Nvidia and AMD deserve to decline into irrelevance. Everyone complained about Intel's pricing, wishing AMD would be more competitive and when AMD took the crown, they hiked their prices right past what Intel charged for their top end processors. I tossed AMD a bone and built a system with a 2600X CPU and upgraded it to a 3600XT, now I wish I never sent them a penny.

You should have taken advantage and bought AMD stocks when they took the crown around 2020. That system you built would have been free.
