Honestly, how many people with a Top 300 EVGA score (10,000-200,000 points or so) are looking for a 3050? I guess you could go for the bird in hand to flip and figure the rest out as you go.
Me, my Score is 11993, not sure if that's enough to be in the Top 300. I want a 3050 for my LG OLED55CXPUA TV to release my higher performing 30 series card to do other things and still use the HDMI 2.1 of the 30 series card to get the best picture from my TV.
I don't want a 3090 or a 3080 12GB card as I already have a 3080 Ti.

I thought the same way... Well if your chances before Elite membership were 0.00001%, now they are 5-10 times more. however still way too low

What seems to be the most important thing right now is if you have not bought a 30 series card directly from EVGA. You get bumped ahead of everyone else in your tier if you have not.

I think you will be OK I'm Elite member but never registered product because I never had a failure with the countless EVGA products I bought over there last 15 years. I missed the cut off, registered late so many Elites have 0 score also. February 1st is coming up soon so we will move up in line. Don't forget to upload invoices, it is needed with 3.0 rules to count for score.

If you haven't received an email from Newegg yet for today's shuffle, chances are good you will not.

I cut the cord years ago too. Cable really sucks. I was watching everything on my computer even when I had cable and finally realized it was time to let it go. I do a fair amount of gaming on my living room TV as well so I have a 3080Ti there. I need a 3050 for my office PC for the better picture quality/higher refresh rate and also do some video editing.

After you purchase the RTX 3050 XC Gaming and if the auto notify is still open on the RTX 3050 XC Black you can queue up for it, you just can't have both at the same time. It depends on your TV, if it's a HDMI 2.1 compliant TV, this is the card you want for the best picture at the lowest price. You will also need a HDMI 2.1 cable. If your TV is not HDMI 2.1 compliant, then don't bother.

looking at my gtx 1080 ACX 3.0 it has very similar spec to the 3050 xc. Oddly enough its double the price used on amazon.
Really interesting, i am upgrading processor soon and wonder if my gpu spec will be able to keep up demands.
If so then I think this will be a very good purchase for anyone trying to get into Star Citizen.

I'm also still waiting for my notify in Europa. I only have an EVGA Score of 6 and hit the Notify button at 16.17 with elite membership. I hope i get the notify soon, looking for an affordable card since 3 months for my little sister.

They forget to put aside 5 cards for Europeans...  so we are in list, but don't hold your breath to get the card anytime soon... or ever. Europe is a afterthought, if anything is left after serving anybody else then ok send there. This is paper lunch by Nvidia, the limited set of cards all went to OEM in Europe to sell it to prebuild pc at inflated price. At least in USA you get a chance to buy it at local shop.. P.S. Surprising Alder-lake was available on day 1 in europe and now widely available all around, AMD cpu also again available. including G edition : mobo and cpu at least, ddr5 not yet . so the CPU shortage is clearly finished. Next is the console, there are on 7mm and will be a massive shift on 5mm soon and 3mm later in 4Q freely a lot of wafer on 7mm...

I have only read the last few pages of the thread. I have a technical question.
I saw on the EVGA website that the 3050 comes in two versions. One version with PCB backplate and one with metal backplate. Are the same fans installed in both? Are there any technical differences apart from the backplate?
