kram36 Money sounds tight for you, stop wasting money on toys. This is not a need product, it's a want product. In this current market, get over not being able to queue for the $80 cheaper card on launch day.
I see what you are saying, but there has to be some pushback on pricing. "The RTX 4050 is $800? Stop complaining, you don't need it anyway!" If components get too expensive, far less people will build and use PCs, which means games will be less inclined to code/port to PCs, which means the hobby could see a decline into irrelevance. Hopefully that doesn't happen, but voting with our wallets is definitely a good idea.
If that happens, Nvidia and AMD deserve to decline into irrelevance. Everyone complained about Intel's pricing, wishing AMD would be more competitive and when AMD took the crown, they hiked their prices right past what Intel charged for their top end processors. I tossed AMD a bone and built a system with a 2600X CPU and upgraded it to a 3600XT, now I wish I never sent them a penny.
I built a high end system at the end of 2020 and based it on a 5900x and have no regrets, it's been rock solid and is a beast. It replaced an Intel chip that was also solid (and still in use in my son's computer!). I have no problems using any company if they put out a good product. It was interesting that their prices were so high at first, but it made sense since they were definitely better than Intel's offerings at the time. It wasn't until the 12th gen that Intel was back in the game, and now AMD's prices have dropped, which is good for everyone. I think we would see the same thing with GPUs if it weren't for mining- they can't keep up with demand.

Sadly, no. EVGA doesn't share that info around the pond. If past is precedent, they won't open the hybrid and HC registrations until they have at least a modest number of units to drop to the queue that would be established by those registrations within a day or two. So, we may be waiting for a bit for the waterlogged versions. For the windy ones, those autonotify buttons could come any day now....

You should have taken advantage and bought AMD stocks when they took the crown around 2020. That system you built would have been free.
When do you think the Ryzen 5 2600X came out? It came out in 2018.

I have the exact same EVGA score with an earlier timestamp, but I have received a 30 series from the queue before and therefore have NOT received a notify. Looks like Queue 3.0 is working as advertised!

If EVGA is being consistently opaque, I don't even think folks in the top three hundred will know they are in the top three hundred.

Not necessarily. In another EVGA forum thread, somebody was talking about seeking a high end card for themselves and a 3050 for their offspring. Totally makes sense to me (but enewt jr. will insist that she get the powerful gpu..."your eyes are failing anyway dad...what does it matter?!?")

Yeap absolutely, but once again, I`m guessing those are exception. We might have those that have 2 builds as well, like me. But as I can see from this forum and other places, for the majority, the 3050 will be an upgrade from their old and tired GPU.

They only get one exemption from having previous purchased a RTX 30 from evga.com. Which would they prefer to get faster...a bottom-feeder 3050 or a flagship 3090 TI? Maybe with a high enough score it doesn't matter to them because no one makes it into their tier without having bought a card from evga.com. "To celebrate EVGA Queue 3.0, the users with the 300 highest EVGA Scores will be exempt from this requirement for select future launches, beginning with the GeForce RTX 3080 12GB. These users may sign up for a notification and proceed without being deprioritized for a previous 30 Series purchase from EVGA.com. This offer is only good for one product/notification queue, and once the product is purchased it may not be used again." DuleyBC

Honestly, how many people with a Top 300 EVGA score (10,000-200,000 points or so) are looking for a 3050? I guess you could go for the bird in hand to flip and figure the rest out as you go.

Me, my Score is 11993, not sure if that's enough to be in the Top 300. I want a 3050 for my LG OLED55CXPUA TV to release my higher performing 30 series card to do other things and still use the HDMI 2.1 of the 30 series card to get the best picture from my TV. I don't want a 3090 or a 3080 12GB card as I already have a 3080 Ti.

WyToons Honestly, how many people with a Top 300 EVGA score (10,000-200,000 points or so) are looking for a 3050? I guess you could go for the bird in hand to flip and figure the rest out as you go.
Me, my Score is 11993, not sure if that's enough to be in the Top 300. I want a 3050 for my LG OLED55CXPUA TV to release my higher performing 30 series card to do other things and still use the HDMI 2.1 of the 30 series card to get the best picture from my TV. I don't want a 3090 or a 3080 12GB card as I already have a 3080 Ti.
With score that high, someone should be doing my laundry for me.

DuleyBC I guess that someone who is really looking for a 3050 have no intention to buy a 3090 Ti.
That's not necessarily true. Some people have multiple systems for multiple uses.

kram36 Would be nice to see someone from the Top 300 post they received an email to purchase.
I would guess no one in the Top 300 is going to waste their one-time golden ticket on a 3050, not with the 3090Ti coming soon.
They can buy it and still get in line for the 3090 Ti. Once the card is bought, it's off your list and you can add another card.
This offer is only good for one product/notification queue, and once the product is purchased it may not be used again."

If a person is the top 300, I don't think it matters if the use the one time RTX 30XX benefit. My guess is top 300 is the "first tier" and everyone in that tier will get cards quickly even if they are in last place 300th in the tier. To be in the top tier they must be very good at the Associate Program or buy every card they can get including higher, medium and low end cards. Either way they are VIP customers EVGA should not leave in line for months.

HDMI 2.1 / 4k 120Hz with G-Sync is so awesome, I can't go back to anything less either. It's the reason I need multiple 30 series cards as well. One on each TV and desktop.
