rampage wont post and I have 5 more chips to bench, might do something dumb and prep my 1366 set up for dice????? Whats that rule for benching dont bench anything you cant afford to replace.... unless its for a competition???

Got a gigabyte g41 at microcenter for 50 bucks lets see what shes got, dont see many caps and no cooling on the fetts ill have to do something about that.

LOL nate calling someone out for timely pics. Ill post some when I master dice prep and stop killing hardware. I do have a few in my pocket from a few nights ago. Up to 70 pounds of dice now and only a few submissions. I am getting there slowly though. Hoping to have my i7 frozen by next friday.

also what drivers are you guys using on you 400 series cards. im using the latest ones on my 470 and they seem weird. in afterburner i cant go over 1.030gpuv with out getting a blue screen cos the nvidia driver crashes. and yea any ideas guys?

Hey Reg out of all those procs you bought recently, do have a dual core that clocks like crap that you could sell to me really cheap? I'm looking for a proc that i won't be tempted to oc too much  to put in a folding rig.

na I only have 3 two are untested and one is my highest oc ever. Do you have a microcenter I picked up an e5300 for 39.99 there. Its a great chip. After this competition is over Ill see what I have and where it gets me I am sure to have something that works i can sell for cheap. Just for a folding rig? Do you have any boards that support 533fsb chips? If so p4s and celerons sell on ebay like crazy for under 20 bucks.

Thanks for the info. My problem would be if i got a chip, i would have to bench it first and see how it does. And if it even has a glimmer of potential, it would never make its way into the folding rig. LOL  My MC is 15 min. away. They have the e1500 for $30, e3300 for $40, and e5300 for $50. Interesting that your's has the e5300 for $40.

Maybe I had it mixed up bought all 3 there 3300, 5300, 7600 but now all I have is a budget board to bench on that I cant get to post after 1.6 vcore and for whatever reason can only change fsb through os even though its an option in the bios. But what do you expect out of a 50 dollar board. Spent 4 or 5 hours trying to load an os onto it last weekend, only to find out it had a old bios with something wrong with the sata controller. Hopefully my microcenter gets another truck in by Friday so I can grab a decent board and some more dice. I doubt it will be ready but im working on a s478 system too, that will be worthy of its own post if I dont break it before Im done modding it.

COD 4 COD MW 2 Combat Arms is a pretty fun free one Anything Star Wars Portal is a lot of fun, I got it when it was free on Steam If you want to try some racing games then look at GRID and Need For Speed Most Wanted, also DIRT 2. And yeah, it's hot as hell. Can't wait to get to Colorado.

Hot here too...still no real rain since June...everything is dying. With 2 fermi's and upper 70's room temps, my chiller is not keeping up like it used to. Anyone have any experience with JB weld for plugging holes in a chiller cooler? Half my evap is exposed, but I need to seal up the pipe holes to fill up the other Half.

JB weld does not like the coolant over long durations. you will get 6 months easily out of it. Then I would start to worry. But maybe because mine was pressurized. (repaired a waterblock) Maybe atmospheric pressure is ok?

Ok, umm do cpu's "like" certain multi's? My q9300 rig is rock solid for any bench at 3.85ghz - 7.5x514. I dropped the multi to 7 so 7x514 which is 3.59 (trying to work more with fsb and ram for sp32m), and it crashes alot. **** is that? All the same settings, same voltage, same ram, everything, except the multi is .5 lower, and it crashes. Anyone know what's going on?
