Good luck with DICE, you might have trouble running a couple of chips though, unless you loose your patience easily, you will keep trying over and over with one chip

@Bigrelly

Looks amazing. How "cleanly" does it warm up after going sub zero? You have to wipe away the frost to make sure it doesnt drip on to your board after you turn off yoru chiller I'm assuming.

What kind of pot?
Also, Rampage Extreme or Rampage Formula? If it's a REX with some good ddr3, i might have to steal it.
What are some of the chips you got?

Just got some old p4s and some old celeron d es chips, I had no great results my first time out took me a long time to get the pot to make good contact with the chip. I also wasted a few hours trying to get the celerons to play nice but the rampage board does not like old 533fsb chips. Best result was a p4 530 @ 4.9 ghz I only played with that chip for around an hour or so. I think I can break into the top twenty with it (for that chip of coarse.  over the next week. Not sure which rampage but it uses ddr2. The pot is one of nates. Got alot more work to do before I am happy with my technique. But on the upside one of the icecream shoppes sells 20 blocks of dice for like 10 bucks. How do you guys save your runs and take screen caps with xp??? the rig I use is not connected to the internet. Oh yea no rainbow gloves were worn in this test. Last week I went a little crazy on ebay got like 30 chips to bench. Just need to finish up a few vcore mods on the 478 boards then I can start in on those.

Has anyone ever experienced a cold bug as low as -55 or so? Or does that just happen with ln2 and extreme cold?

Must be the Rampage Formula x48 if it's ddr2. Is that what you're gonna slap my dominators i shipped to in?

For screen caps, i do ctrl+prt scr then ctrl+v in ms paint and save it to a usb. This is in a super stripped down xp with no internet.

I haven't had a coldbug using DICE, and my pot runs it around -65 to -50*C, but every chip is different of course.

might not have been cold bug it was after 6 hours of trying different stuff so I just decided to call it quits still got 6 or 7 pounds of dice left ill give it another crack later in the week. And yea thats one of the boards im going to slap the doms in. For whatever reason 5ghz on any chip keeps slipping away from me.

I am in the middle of 3 or 4 get it colder projects hopefully I get atleast a 75 percent success rate on my summer projects.

with the 4-way calssy if your using anything other than 4 gpu's performance will be lower than a 3-way classy.
However I did snag a sealed box 4-way E762 for $300 at that price it was to good to pass up... This board is 10 times better than my E758 3-way x58 mobo!

How much pj do you guys put in your socket?? I keep running in to trouble prepping boards. I start to prep just add liquid electrical tape, eraser and pj in the socket then board fires up but wont post. Cpu is getting warm so its getting power but nothing. Have tried every combo of known working components so its got to be the socket. How much is to much and how do I fix the problem??

So would Single/Dual/Tri SLI 470s be better on a Rampage 3 Extreme. I'ma thinking that's what I want to get rather that an E762. If only 470s could do Quad...

Then again I may not do anything for a while because I may be going to a boarding school this year and next so I would only take a laptop.

how does one loose performance with the E762 over the E760? i thought they were the same board with the exception of the NF200 chips?

Hmmmmmm well I've been using a E760 for a little over 12 months now and it has been a absolute gem to play with......

I picked up a 4way (E762) a few weeks ago and there is not much performance difference that is notisable for the average Joe.....BUT !!!!!!

When pushing this sucker hard (the E762 4-way) for 2D bench's and a 980x I've seen some improvement so for me and those that like to push, it is an excellent upgrade (plus i can play with 4 way)...... the only other board would be the Gigabyte UD9 (2D benching is better)... but hay I like EVGA......

With 3d benching say single or even sli the difference i found (using the same driver), was bearly 300 point in vantage ......but thats just my findings, other can make their own
