Its in the thermal properties of the material. Read this chart of thermal conductivities. Concrete > Iron> Nickle > Aluminum >Gold > Copper > Silver> Diamonds

OK I just installed a 680 and did a quick run of vantage with a 3820 @ 4.625 Ghtz. This is what I got. 100MGz OC on 680. But what seems different is something that I'm wondering if maybe it's just my imagination. But I swear vantage ran smother than any other I have ever run. Meaning So fluid regardless of FPS.

When you say export the g-code you will need info from me like, max safe z, end mill diameter, Depth of cut, climb/conventional milling and some other stuff. Some pics of what your working on would be nice. Oh and tru_gamer... that radiator setup is wild! Looks like its as big as a car radiator for a small car!

now a days you might be better off flashing your own ram to what you want. it's what we are doing with laptop ram now by using thiaaphoon burner...

That's what you think...LOL You can't use the bios to make the proper changes... Here is an example of what my 1600 mhz ram can do in a laptop. Now the timing base is different here, but the speed obtained is crazy... Validated at 2300 mhz. currently the world record for all laptops in the world. I was able to get it at 11-11-11-36, but forgot to save. http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2312440 But what im saying is you can do better memory flashing that just setting it in the bios...thaiphoon burner is pretty badass.

yeah halo, it's a neat little program for really changing your timings. download the demo and check it out. then you will understand what i mean. but this will flash your ram if you buy the paid version. and you can take ram that you thought was cheap and turn it into super good ram. like i did...haha

What kind of speed you think I'll be able to get on the GTs? And is it stable, and unflashable? Like can I revert to stock?

Depends on your testing... when you see cas of 8T, that is just the number header... 8T breaks into a number range of lets say 15 or so....so... example: 7T=65-81 8T=82-94 9T=95-105 you can't get into detail with the bios like you can with that program. you just backup all your ram profiles first. then play with just one stick. if you think you bricked it, don't worry..put in one of your other sticks and it will default to the lowest boot able ram clocks. you would have to test for stability and it's completely reversible. watch some of these short help vid's from there... http://www.softnology.biz/tips_videotutorials.html#vengemess

Oh how well I know that sound, I have 2x 120's, one on each of my Corsair H50's. One cools a i7 2600k and the other a i7 860, they both run really cool. They defiantly push a lot of air. Nice wave you got going on the curtains. Edit: Should have shown the back side, the fans while running and when not. Now put 3 more for push/pull. Ya I know its already over kill, but what the heck, we love extreme. I have mine setup as push/pull, but only 1 delta to each H50. The pull fans are the same speed just not another delta.

hey guys, i have a question for sme of the AMD users here, i built a computer for a friend with an AMD FX4170 CPU (Quad @4.2ghz stock) and an asrock 970 extreme 3 board with 8gb of ddr3 1600mhz ram and for some odd reason it can only see 3.98 usable. i have reseated the ram a few times and in different configs but it still playing up. (also the fan is stupidly annoying) any ideas on this i have played around with the settings for the ram and it still doesnt change. im thinking the CPU cooler might be too tight

If its a 32bit system that be the reason why. You'll need a 64bit OS to see anything over 4GB.
