So with the Classified card, who knows what is capable under water, LN2 I think it went 500MHz+ over stock?

Vince has already gotten 1900Mhz on a reference with some mods done. LN2 of course. I think 1700MHz+ quad may be doable with Classifieds, not so much FTWs. Might have to consider a 7970 over the summer for some easy LN2/DICE fun.

The member ranking on that page only shows your team point contribution, which is different than your actual individual points. Team point is a formula. I can't find it right now, but it's on that site somewhere. You can have a boatload of individual points but if you are behind team members in each bench, then you will have lower team point contribution...something like that anyway.

I was just wonder since it shows everyone on the team, on member rankings page, then there bench speed. My bench speed say for superpi is better than who is in third, but yet my name isn't listed at all, but yet everyone else is. No big deal, just thought maybe the captain of the team had to update the member rankings or something like that before I'd show up on the member ranking list. Edit: sorry meant member ranking page, not team ranking. Fixed above....

Halo_003 Whoa. Who's that for? Its for a customer. This is going to be a very special block, and I don't expect any large production runs, because not many people will be able to afford it. Its going to be the heaviest block on the planet at this point. I am not even kidding.

To bad there is no easy way to insulate that block...That looks like it would sure hold some sub zero temps....

No easy way to insulate? Would I steer you wrong ;) ? The 295 hamburger blocks are harder to insulate then these (plus I can change the outside to suit your needs remember?) If I had to guess, there may be more copper mass then some CPU pots. It should be very easy to insulate, and also was designed for use on chillers, as in all the connections go down from the top, instead of sideways. Generating some hand drawn tool paths now. It will start off as 10 lbs of copper. 26 square inches of surface area on the bottom plane of the water chamber. 13.19 cubic inches of liquid in there, roughly 0.2 liters of water in there, which calculates to about 0.8 cups of water! That will certainly keep some cold mass for those chiller folks ;) You could probably pour LN2 straight into that sucker with a funnel btw... That much mass will perform quite well. If there is no cold bug, you could just literally keep 0.8 cups of LN2 in there.

In fact....I could cut you some of that foam i sent you on the CNC that would be the absolute PERFECT layout between the block, and the card. You would lay the foam inbetween the block, and the card, and it will be a nice perfect fit. Then you envelop the card in the other foam. Actually sounds like a fun project. The block makes contact with every conceivable part that generates heat. The tool paths I am in the middle of:

In the meantime, i posted a youtube video on the voodoo thread.

quick question for nate, when compairing the heat disapation of aluminum and copper, what percentage is aluminum to copper. say if copper is 100% what would that make alloy? also how much aluminum mass would i need to run Dry Ice on anything from an 8800GTX to a 470GTX
