My GPU-Z 0.8.7 is showing 1212V all the time even when voltage is showing 1230 or whatever else in Precision X and different on a Multimeter. Thanks, will do a bit more testing with the stock bios and precision overboost but i really like MSI afterburner a lot more. (OSD setting much better, screen and video capture etc) Edit - Using Snipergurus SC bios *so far* my classified is Heaven 4 stable at the following settings. Big thanks Guru :) Firestrike - www.3dmark.com/fs/8235258I also notice the Perfcap VRel and VOp have now disappeared too

I spoke too soon. I now get a grey screen when applying and load at all so have had to flash back. Strange, it was working fine then this morning just changed

Sniperguru i change a little bit in the file of the voltage settings
Comparing this to the one before it looks exactly the same. Unless I am missing something in the voltage table. I looked through all states and it appears to be the same. John, the images you are uploading are tiny and too small to read the settings / text. Thanks though and thanks Sniper

Nemesis11 Seems i failed in my link, here it is: Could Finally achieve 1578 Mhz CPU Clock on Water, and 4207Mhz on memory (which seems pretty weird, as normally i had about 2000/2100Mhz) , card never goes up to 50°C, that's my first graphic card watercooled on loop, and i must say i am very impressed by the results of the card under water ! Here is the 3DMark link:
It's still failing. I just purchased two Brand new EVGA 980ti Sc cards, put EK water blocks on. They ran OK but I flashed the bios and now I get a black screen. The filedropper link defaults to the home page with nothing there. It's actually kind of funny; I can't re-flash my cards back to the stock bios or use any EVGA bios now. I ended up using an ASUS bios from the link below. I'm back up and running.

It could be normal depending on your monitor setup.

I'm using a dual 1080p monitor setup, one 144hz and the other 60hz, would that be it? Also is it ok if it's always at that voltage?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure your monitor setup is causing the problem. This should fix the problem... #1 Download NVIDIA Inspector and run it. #2 Right click on the button that says "Show overclocking" and select "Multi Display Power Saver" #3 Under the Target GPUs section check mark both GPUs. #4 Check mark run multi display power saver at startup. #5 Check mark activate full 3d by gpu usage and adjust the threshold to 30%. #6 Close NVIDIA Inspector. #7 Reboot PC. #8 Check to see if clocks are running at lower speeds. Running it at 1.23v all the time would be ok as long as your temps are fine.

I went with a custom BIOS for my FTW cards from this thread...about half way down the page. http://www.overclock.net/t/1573308/nvidia-gtx-900-cards-custom-bios-upon-request/5490 My card's ASIC is given as 77.8 & 75.2%. With the BIOS its stable at 1507 Mhz. Firestrike went from 24769 to 25549 with no other changes. Unigine Heaven went from 163.8 / 4127 to 174.3 / 4390 at the program's default settings run at the desktop's resolution, 3440 x 1440.

Thanks for the advice, I tried the multi monitor power saver, but it just acts weird when ever it steps voltage and clock down and since temps are fine at idle with 1.23v, I think I'll just keep it there. Thanks.

Hi there!
Got a EVGA SC 980ti pretty recently and I have started OC. Noticed that I usually go down to 1.155 on voltage during Witcher 3 for example. I dont go down quite as low on Heaven for example. It does not go above 1.118 during load though.
I have tried tinkering with Afterburner settings but changing the voltage does not seem to matter. Currently I am using a 110% max power limit since it wont let me go higher.
In GPU-Z i am usually getting Vrel and PWR limit under perf cap reason.
Do I need to probably flash my bios to get it to work better and how many percent extra performance will I realistically get?
Cant link my stock bios since I have not been a member for five days. I have an ASIC quality of 78% if it matters.

The voltage drop you notice is quite normal and I'm pretty sure it's due to temperature ranges (based upon observations on my own GPU). For the limits you're hitting, it should be fine and if you don't notice instability, you should be able to try and increase your clock speeds. If you think TDP is an issue however, I can help you create a custom bios with an increased TDP limit.

So I read that Kingpin said that Maxwell doesn't scale well with voltage. So is 1.274 not a good spot for these cards? If I pull the voltage back will it get higher clocks (obviously not going to pull the voltage too far back lol) just curious guys
