It's a shame the prices have gone up, was hoping to try out the FTW3 Hybrid, but not at over $900 shipped... I know it was bound to happen, glad I got my FTW3 before the hike.

Have you seen the prices on Newegg? They are redicolous.

I know its a matter of supply and demand and all that, but EVGA was one of the last places you could get a card at "normal" MSRP for the few minutes they have them in stock every week or two.

Yea. I have seen that they have them more often than any other supplier. However, I think Volta is coming and that is another reason why we don't have as much as supplies.

EVGA has to make a certain margin too, if not they go out of business.

EVGA most know something that other suppliers don't know. I have not seen Asus or even Zotac in stock anywhere. I keep looking everywhere no matter the place. Still nothing. I have a feeling it has to do with Volta.

I actually really like the black edition. Much more than the regular grey. The only thing is that the lights aren't RGB, but the card itself looks really good imo.

I can't believe I was too impatient and missed out on a chance for a FTW3 variant....  dang it - I cancelled my order.  Well, one more gtx 1080ti sc2 black edition just went back into the pot for everyone else

Did the DIY discount drop today too?

I would have sworn that the discount for an FTW3 + DG-73 + 750 G2 was around $150, but now it's only $110.  With the $60 price increase on the card and the $40 drop in the discount that's a $100 increase over a couple days ago. =(

Well hey! Its your money and if you weren't happy with the 1080ti sc2 then why pay for it? Jacob said that there will be more stock tomorrow and if you're willing to pay an extra 20-30 bucks, then you can grab a FTW 3 with the DIY config right now. If you get the cheapest case/power supply you can actually get a FTW 3 for around the price they have listed right now. Good luck man.

SirGTX
I am so depressed over the recent price gouging from 3rd party retailers. I am in the process of purchasing components for a new build and can't seem to catch a break finding a good deal for a GPU. It seems that I will be stuck waiting until prices fall.

If you live close to micro center. They are doing specials for GPU if you buy a lot of parts together.

I must say thanks Jacob for the notification on the DIY . Sure I got a case I may not need but that's fine maybe I'll swap cases with my current one. I mean 797 with shipping is great. I had a guy on eBay willing to do 800 + shipping with probably customs ... So now I'm just happy I'm finally getting what I've been searching for since end of December . Yup

The DIY discount for the 3 base parts dropped from 15% to 10% as well as the price increases. Some of the power supply prices also increased.

my discount was for 123$ .subtotal was 696 but shipping is so expansive to Canada... So went up another 100. But probably will have to foot another 15% for taxes but at least 0 duty on computer components/ computers. Says 3-5 days for shipping. Should have by next week hopefully.

It is a shame that we have to resort to desperate measures of adding post babble in order to get to purchase a product that a company wants us to buy. But like everything else in the current GPU evil time, it's has taken otherwise sane, even noble men (and perhaps a few women?) and turned them into sniveling Gollum's desperate and stooping low to do anything to hold my precious in my hand! ;-)

Problem for the DIY for me is I already have many cases and power supplies. Add the shipping cost and it not worth it.

Whoo! Just got an EVGA GTX 1080 8GB (not a ti and not overclocked, but still) for a little over $700. At this point, I'm okay with that purchase. If it wasn't an EVGA though, I wouldn't have bought it. And I will be using it for gaming, not mining. I hope everyone else gets their cards soon too, and hopefully at even better prices.

EDIT:
Oh wait, I guess it is the gaming superclocked version. Still the lower end of the 1080's, but a solid card. I'm stoked. Got it from Best Buy. There is still stock at the time of this edit.

Oheck
This really REALLY sucks.  Retailers should have restricted the distribution to keep miners from buying out stock in bulk, leaving their actual customers for these products flapping out in the wind.  Say one card per customer per month, etc.  Now a handful of miners are crippling the GPU market, and will soon be flooding ebay with half baked GPUs.  We already see retailers jacking up prices to gouge customers due to the shortages.  We're getting screwed all the way around on this situation.

I know right?!?!?

Same here.
Is this stock limitation be because there is any part problem on manufacturing?

I wrote to EVGA Europe but I didn't find out anything new. They told me that they don't have any ETA because they can't keep up with orders from re-sellers and their web-store. Only sugestion that I got from them is to place notification or check with their re-sellers. I doubt we will get anything anytime soon.

Last time a 1080 Ti SC Black Edition was available was on 22 of january. I really doubt that there's such high demand in GPUs if you ask me. Miners are already switching to ASIC cards as they are multiple times more profitable than regular GPUs. They're just increasing the demand to raise the prices.

don´t know about that but what i thought was that EVGA was keeping the prices insted of raising them.. And that´s not cool about them.

Most seem to think evga is just trying to pull one over on you, before jacob said anything I said it was probably due to their prices increasing as well, you cant expect them to eat the loss. Whats not cool is all the crying about the cost of a product, its business thats all it is. They have cost and overhead not to mention a payroll to manage, they just cant take the hit. Same as cars, every year they seem to rise but people keep buying them.
