Guilty as charged! ;-)
I just have a client music video that needs to be done... and no graphics card so I'm highly motivated and a wee bit desperate! ;-)

Gamer will not upgrade card for that price :) Miner will change/upgrade card every year cause he burn his card and take new cause here in EU is 2 years of warranty minimum.
Why do you idiots that don't mine ASSUME that miners burn their cards more often than gamers?
Why you calling people idiots
When a group of people with ZERO factual knowlege of something insist on acting as if they are experts on that subject and get pretty much all of what they state about the subject WRONG, what do YOU call them?
Now that vorsholk has stopped his abuse, I'm returning to folding. I no longer MOO due to abuses by certain "whales" in the Gridcoin community - so I now work the Distributed.net project directly again.

Stephenk291 Gotta say I haven't been on the forums in a bit but the DIY thing is pretty cool and the discount is surprisingly nice as well. Might have to go this route despite really not need anything besides the GPU but I guess a new case wouldn't hurt.
The cards are more money in the DIY so not sure about the discount

You are only required to disregard all other aspects of your life in pursuit of purchasing a new graphics card for a disturbing period of time.

you're right. 11G-P4-6696-KR is $869 on the product page but $879 on the DIY. I guess I'd have to go back and see what the true discount is. Tricky EVGA..tricky.

Does Newegg normally get about a 20% margin on these cards from the wholesaler do they buy them directly from EVGA? Like is there 60% mark up to get to MSRP with dist. getting 20% and retail normally getting 40% but with online stores operating at about 20%?
and... does whatever that ends up being mean that evga still gets 40% or more mark up when they sell directly to people with 5F keys surgically grafted to their left index finger?

Thanks, Jacob! I was able to order a 1070ti using the DIY configurator. I needed the power supply but not so much the case. With the discount it worked out and I'll rock the nice new case when it gets in. So pumped!
