I have an 460 part # 01G-P3-1372-TR. Is there an update for this and where do I find it. All I see listed is one for 1371 and 1373?

Hi,
I've got two 460s SC 1GB EE cards and was wondering if I need to remove one card to update the Bios or can I update the Bios' on both cards without removing any?

Can somebody answer my question please, thank you.
Mr. Jacob?

The utility will detect the cards and flash one at a time, should be no need to remove the card.

  • New in version 1.1 - Fanspeed on External Exhaust cards can now be reduced to 30% in EVGA Precision (Part numbers 01G-P3-1371-XX and 01G-P3-1373-XX Only)

This is win! Thank you EVGA.

While the 1372 doesn't need the FPB for the speed since it's already factory OC better than that, and the reference fan isn't as bad as the EE leafblower, I'd still like to be able to lower the min fan speed below 40%.  My system is in my bedroom, and is basically silent except for the 460 fan, which is pointlessly spinning at 40% with GPU temp of only 32C when the system's idle.  I'd love to lower it to 30% or even 20%, wherever the fan stall speed is.  (and yeah, I could just use NiBiTor, but they're having trouble with fan speed adjustment on 460's so far).

Is there anyway to confirm this worked? I am a brand new owner of 2 GTX 460's, just installed them yesterday, another forum I am an active member on, a member let me know about this update, so I ran it, the dos window came up, pressed Y, it said it did the first card, pressed Y, said it did the second card, well actually it just exited real quick and I think it said that. So is there a way to confirm this is applied? Like do we know a new BIOS # etc.? I am on the Superclocked EE cards. The ones that end in AR.

Yes, when you see a different Bios with GPU-Z or GPU Caps Viewer or Precision or, or... Or try change the fan speed, there you can see it. Without update you can only change between 40-70%, not more and not less. If you now can go till 100%, it worked ;-)

Hello,

First: Sorry for my bad english!

Is there any need to update my new GTX-460-Card (01g-P3-1373-ER with Bios:70.04.13.00.70), if i will integrate it with an EK-Block in my watercooled system.
I read only about different air-cooler adjustments.

So now its time to test the EVGA-Card.

I have a GTX 460 1GB SC EE (01G-E3-1373-AR) w/ 70.04.13.00.74 BIOS, do I need to get this update?

It doesn't, it just allows you to increase the fanspeed to 100%.

Is this an answer to my question (too), so i don't need the update in my watercooling-system.
