Memory question for x99 mb

I'm running 32gb of DDR3 1600 on my x99 with 5820K. Is there any real benefit to upgrading to DDR4 2600? My workflow has changed. I'm now mainly gaming. I think 16gb would work fine. Would there be any real noticeable difference? If so, any recommendations?
