I'm the only one that reported here but others have thanked Jacob for that model on twitter. But yes... small test batch to begin with. More this week.

Ok, nevermind, now I am confused! I looked again at the spreadsheet. I am signed up for the Black edition, and actually pretty high up in that queue, but the numbers above me haven't reported anything on the spreadsheet yet, at least that I can see. Are you a different name on the spreadsheet? My name is the same still.

Yeah, easy to be confused.  Good luck on your hunt!

Hybrid cards...
I suspect this has been asked already, but how can we get in line for one of them fancy shmancy hybrid cards? That's what I used to have, and I'd really like to get one of those. Were the hybrids already paper launched, and the bots got them? Or are they still legit "coming soon" because there hasn't been availability yet?

A limited time auto-notify button went up this morning.  They limited registrants to the number of units they will have in the first batch.

Thanks for the info! Sad I missed it, as I'm sure many are.

I have a curiosity about the excel spreadsheet ... is it still being maintained? I don't see the update on it for the person that got his email link for the black edition.

The spreadsheet has proven to be a good resource for original registrations but updating it has proven challenging over time: there was one or more trolls that attacked it which resulted in it being locked down....

Anyway, we encourage folks to report back to this thread and then we track the head of each queue based on those reports.  I also do a nightly scour of other sources to see if I can track down additional reports of emails and then post a summary to the thread (the last summary was reposted a page or so back).  It is a suboptimal process in suboptimal circumstances, but with superlative folks with whom to share the watch.

In short, it is better than the alternative.  Good luck!

A birdy has told me that at least some 3080 FTW3 Ultra stragglers are dropping.

If you are on the bubble for that queue, you might want to check your in-box over the next little bit.

I think EVGA can actually provide the place in the queue :) if they really want :) ... but the question is .. do they ?! :)

At least from the expectation point of view it would have been a better customer experience
ex:  24G-P5-3987-KR  10/16/2020 5:27:03 AM PT you are number 497 in the queue, under the "Notifications menu" :)

I think a small part of why they don't is they don't want people looking at other options for purchase if they're a ways down in the queue, or maybe just because they have no way of knowing exactly how many of each GPU SKU they will be stocking in any given week in advance.

That sounds right to me. They are already having a hard time managing expectations.  Same reason why the hybrid and hydro auto-notify launch this morning was limited and not a never-ending queue opportunity....

I wouldn't release it if I were EVGA. I would be loving the hype and anticipation. I don't think its poor customer service as they've already provided a valuable service with having the queue. I think they've done more for their customer base than anyone else. Call me weird, but its been fun watching, waiting and engaging with the community here. I wouldn't be doing this otherwise.

I mean .. they should have shared with the user, not with the community, and if some users pull out of the queue - they could have updated in the notification page.

I think the EVGA customers understand very well that this company offers better user experience and better services compared with the competition. :)

PS: of course this is my opinion :)

Long time lurker, first time poster. I got lucky* with a Best Buy drop of the 3080 XC3 Ultra earlier this week and it just arrived. I've removed my notifications to hopefully speed things along for others, but did want to say that Best Buy is a real option for real humans looking to upgrade their systems.

*by lucky I mean I got the discord notification while sitting in front of my computer, went to the product page and waited until I got the "add to cart" option. I had tried this a couple times before and didn't have success, so hopefully this means more stock is coming!

That happened to me today on a PS5 preorder.  Painful.

You are only about 8 hours away in the queue for the 3080 XC3 Ultra.  I imagine you will have a note in your in-box "soon" (hopefully before Thanksgiving).  Good luck!!!

haha yeah i know what you mean. I've got a optimistic way of looking at things and try to justify that viewpoint whenever I can. It sucks we have to wait, but imagine being in the EU. They have it way worse and are paying more for the same cards. This is a terrible year and I honestly believe everyone is doing what they can.. all things considered.. to push products as fast as they can. Not to mention we're in holiday season. Imagine wanting a console right now. Good luck with that.

Another thing I've thought of is profit margins. Other folks may have brought it, but I got to imagine that the lower end card buyers are going to wait even longer. The trend is obvious. 3rd parties like EVGA are going to move the higher end cards before anything. Another reason to drop ti's sooner than later. You could always get a b-stock 2080ti and pay MORE than you would a 3080. Whats up with that?

Given that my 3080 Black queue position is 200+ on 9-17 @ 5pm and my next soonest 3080 queue is 10-7, I am contemplating getting another card altogether.

I'm also starting to justify the price of an eBay card. **ducks**

~$300-400 doesn't sound bad when I consider not being able to enjoy my brand new rig and my glorious 3440x1440 goodness until well into 2021.

Hey enewt!

I was looking to buy a 3090 Hydro Copper instead of the FTW3 and finding a diff water block. Do you know how to get on the notify me list for this? did they hit up specific members for it? I would just sell my ftw3 to my friend at MSRP.

No, I haven't seen anything sizable come through.  My best guess is that they were some limited stragglers from the prior days' drops.  There was likely just a few minutes of movement, if that.  I will do my regular summary tonight when I have some time to check multiple sources for evidence of date/time stamps.  Sorry I don't have better information for the moment.

They are doing the queue for the waterlogged cards a little differently.  The auto-notify button was only up for a limited time -- basically until they have enough auto-notifies for the original tranche of cards.  Once they filled that number, they killed the auto-notify button.  It will come back when they know what the second tranche of cards looks like.  Unfortunately, there is not a way to add you to that queue without you clicking on the auto-notify button during one of the windows when it is live.

It was a surprise to me that it went live this morning....

The following is 100% speculation:

A few thoughts:
     - I would think that once they know the size of the second shipment, they will open it up again -- for a limited time until those slots are filled.  I would anticipate that the window could open up in advance of the December shipment (as they will be able to predict how many they will have for the second tranche before that second shipment arrives in North America).
     -  EVGA will likely wait to open up the auto-notifies until they know the size of the tranche for all of the waterlogged cards -- not just a specific sku.  I think it is easier to avoid hurt consumer feelings if the availability stretches across a few cards/choices.
     -  I think it likely that the second auto-notify window will go live in advance of the actual "invite to purchase" emails going out to consumers (but, again, after EVGA has determined the size of the second tranche) as this will give them some consumers to offer any "stragglers" to should folks that clicked all of the auto-notify buttons, only select specific/none of the cards for purchase. Personally, I will be targeting the week to ten days before when I think the invite to purchase emails will go out to consumers (so late Nov/early Dec).
     - I doubt they will open it up again before the Kingpin auto-notifies go live (again, likely a very limited window; and possibly reserved to "Elite" members (I have no idea on any of this to be clear)).
     - These tranches will be a lot more limited than any of us would want (duh!).

Again, these are some wild @ss assumptions.  YMMV.  Good luck!

Thanks for the response, do we know generally when the button goes live? I think i saw on Twitter that the cards are backed up now till early december.

Yeah I believe your right, December 7th I think

When the notify button was live on the page, there was 2 dates I saw - Dec 7th and Dec 13/14th. Then a bit later on Twitter they said start shipping the first week of December. So I really hope that's true! Trying to get set up before CyberPunk launches.

You would be our canary for the 3080 FTW3 Ultra today; hopefully a few of us can get out of the coal mines and start dusting off a space in our lives for some 30-something gaming goodness.
