Did anyone at all see a notify button for any of the Hydro Coppers? I'm not aware of a single person seeing it, so I'm wondering if only the Hybrids had the buttons (for a short while), or if demand on Hydro Coppers is so high that the queue was filled in seconds, which would most likely be bots.

EVGA just tweeted that the hybrid cards and water cooled cards are up for notifies! Me: [Checks EVGA Products page. No button.] Me: "That's okay. Maybe it hasn't appeared yet." The Auto-notify button is gone. It was up until the first batch was gone. Me:
Gigabyte Aorus Master x570 * AMD 5900X * 32GB G.SKILL Trident 3600 * Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420 * GeForce 4090 FE * Corsair RM1000x PSU * 1TB Samsung 970 EVO NVMe * 2x 2TB Samsung 870 QVO SSDs * LG OLED48CXPUB * Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL

Did just that. Last thing I want to do is take apart a perfectly functioning GPU when I haven't done that ever with a GPU I actually care about, but I guess that's the road I'm goin' down if I can't get in queue for an actual Hybrid card. And I can't even take my rage out on nerds in CS right now because someone else is using the internet for a stupid online meeting X_X lol

Oof. And how many of us are currently in a queue that hasn't even began to move yet? I've been #40 in the 3080 FTW3 Gaming queue for a month an a half. I'm beginning to think the NVIDIA 30 Series is cursed.

LMAO! I put a hybrid kit on my Titan X, it's not too bad, they provide decent instructions and there's almost always a few videos on YouTube showing how it's done. Just allow yourself a decent window of time to complete it and don't rush it. Watch the full video first, then go through with it. Lots of tiny screws, but the performance over air cooled is far ahead.

I don't know and wouldn't count on it. In reality, the auto-notify buttons were up for less than 30 minutes, so what is the ROI in trying to maintain the spreadsheet when the movement is going to be by seconds and minutes. If it were me, I wouldn't want to deal with the trolls posting erroneous registrations, etc. I think keeping this community up to date via thread posts is much easier with a greater discourse.

Yeah but the real reason I wanted a preinstalled Hybrid is the warranty on the whole thing being longer... but, I can always do both, I guess, get a 3080 Hybrid whenever I actually can, and put a hybrid cooler on this card in the mean time... just a lot of pain in the butt for not much in the way of positives. Suppose I can always resell the separate cooler & 3080 later when I get the preinstalled Hybrid card in & make sure it's not a dud. Such disappoint, much wow, very sad.

No need if they are going to be doing it this way. If you got a notify in, you will get a card as soon as they have them, as they only took notifies for that particular batch.

Everyone who got a notify will get a card shipped to them the same day or within 2 days. It doesn't matter what time you got in any more. They aren't shipping them in order of time slot. Every card will get shipped.

Got it. Thanks!
No problem! They only let X number of people auto-notify so X number of cards will get shipped when the batch comes in.

actek23 Are the spreadsheets going to be updated with the hybrid/watercooling models?
I don't know and wouldn't count on it. In reality, the auto-notify buttons were up for less than 30 minutes, so what is the ROI in trying to maintain the spreadsheet when the movement is going to be by seconds and minutes. If it were me, I wouldn't want to deal with the trolls posting erroneous registrations, etc. I think keeping this community up to date via thread posts is much easier with a greater discourse.
Im just curious what time people made their notifies and who got the earliest slot for the 3090 XC3 Ultra hybrid. My notifies says 9:37am and someone earlier said they got 9:26am.
Well they're supposedly coming on the 10th, so that would tell me that the entire first batch should ship on the 10th? Who knows. thejinx.sheehan For real. With the number of RMA's going round, I have....concerns about installing a cooler. I'll take a neat, tidy, Warranty package that won't require tough questions to be answered if I get a lemon, tvm
mmmmmmmmmmmhm that's exactly my concern. I have a 100% working, 100% problem free 3080 FTW3 Ultra, which I'm very thankful for, and I really don't wanna muck it up... especially since that puddy they used on the VRMs isn't reusable, persay. That is the primary reason I don't really want to do the cooler install myself, the warranty concerns are just an added "oh please no, oh no" lol

For those still in denial, these Hydro Copper and Hybrid card prices all but confirm a 3080Ti coming or price drop on 3090's. The price increase over air cards is almost nothing compared to what it was for 2080Ti's - which was like $200+ iirc. Edit: If not a 3080Ti, I wouldn't doubt a $200-$300 price drop on 3090's to get closer to the 6900Xt.

Dabadger84 I'm very tempted to just get the cooler & install it myself & be done with this crap... I'll have to think about it, I don't really want to do the install myself but at this point, if I'm not even going to get another shot at the Hybrid card until who knows when, might as well Hybrid-up this known-to-be-working & will-not-die on arrive been working for a month now card.
Then put yourself on notify for them now while you're thinking about it..
Resale value is definitely better if you have the Hybrid *and* the original air cooled shroud as well, but yeah I understand where you're coming from.

Beginning to feel like the end of 2020 and the start of 2021 is going to be a whole lot of turmoil in the gpu marketplace...

Have to admit I expected the Hybrids and HC cards to be a lot more than just ~$50 over the air cooled versions. I'm not sure if that means the air cooled shrouds were more expensive then normal to produce, or if EVGA just decided to put a good price on the Hybrid/HC options, or, as you said, it's leaving room for an upcoming Ti/Super version.

Yes. I am reluctant to go down this path as well...but I well may have to. I need to mull this over the weekend. Crazy days....
