Hey all, I am still in the fog on how to tell when my notification will come. I signed up for a 3070 XC3 Ultra on 10/29/2020 @ 4:38PM PT.
Any idea on what kind of time frame I am looking at?
TIA

Edit: What Nomad47 wrote. [Sorry, my computer hadn't refreshed and I didn't see that the question had already been answered.]

Original: Unfortunately, that card's queue hasn't materially started moving yet.  Because it hasn't even made it through its launch window congestion (i.e., lots of registrations in a very short time window) and without a history of previous drops, it really isn't possible to provide any helpful guidance yet.  Sorry I don't have better news.

EVGA, you are literally the reason I'm building a new gaming pc now. My current one is very obsolete, and I was going to postpone my entire build because I couldn't get the card I wanted, but thanks to your queue system, I and a lot of other people are smiling a little wider right now. Thank you.

Thank you enewt! Not a fan of having to register my card to get the codes though. Once AMD releases their cards, *if* I was to jump ship and sell my card, it’d be still registered to me. Oh well I guess. Thanks again friend.

Check the EVGA warranty policy in the tabs above; the warranty is tied to the card, not the person. In short, it moves with the card.

I hope that helps.

P.S. I’m still in bed sleeping (please don’t tell my wife I woke up to answer your post); I’ll be back in a few hours.

My 3070 XC3 was delayed by a day for "weather issues", I'm guessing something to do with the Cali fires, who knows, but I think that happened to pretty much everyone that was shipped this week maybe.

So, I installed the EVGA 3080 XC3 Ultra last night. Played some games, ran a benchmark, and went to bed. Woke up this morning and the fans were ramped up and no video signal....restarted the computer, still no video signal. Installed my 2070 Super and worked fine. Tried reseating the 3080, no go. Installed the 3080 to an older PC and got 1 long beep and 3 short beeps...womp womp. Tried reseating the RAM and GPU, still no go....UGH! I guess I'll return it and wait until I can build a AMD 5900X PC...I'm removing all my notifies...

Slightly offtopic: Do you need to buy the 3DMARK suit for benchmarks or is there a free version?

Yes. If you plan on selling the card, I would not spend money on the extended warranty.

Ugh. I am so sorry you’re having to RMA the card. I hope it goes smoothly. How is the hunt for the 5900x going? My watch continues there as well after several vendors taking preorders proved to be overly optimistic with their supply expectations. I’ve cancelled three preorders so far....

This recent wave of cards dying quickly is definitely getting very concerning, I assume you had a beefy enough PSU that that wasn't the issue that could've caused the death of the card.

Making me very afraid to resell my 3080 I already have until such time as I've tested what would be an incoming 3080 FTW3 Hybrid for at least a month.

I'm not RMAing the card, I'm just going to return it to best buy. I don't really have the funds for a new PC until February, so I'm just going to wait until then to get another 3080

Yeah, I think with them pumping out as many cards as possible, they're quickly going through QA and not fully testing the cards

EVGA 3080 cards have junky VRMs (quality bellow other components) It should be revision 12, not 11!
I will skip this cards.
Will try to get 3070 as best quality/price/performance 3000 card, and wait 3080Ti (if ever comes).

Hello all,

Forgive my ignorance on this, but is there any way to determine what your place in the queue is?  My guess is no, but I just want to be sure.  I placed myself in the queue for a 3080 FTW3 back on 10/6 and I haven't heard anything.

We have a spreadsheet but it only is for people who have submitted their times so it doesn't account for ALL of the people who have signed up to be notified

I think for the 3080 FTW3 they're still on the first day so if you registered on 10/06 you have a bit of a wait ahead of you. I think rough estimates are early 2021 for that date. I am 10/05 myself and I am not expecting it until 2021

Here is the link to view the spreadsheet for 3080/3090: https://docs.google.com/s...znv-8ipgQti9Ac/pubhtml

Last known time for someone who got notified for a 3080 FTW3 is 09/17/2020 14:56:00

I see, this helps a lot, thank you!  The extra time will help me ease my wife into the sticker shock (although I did tell her that the ballpark for my new build next year will be between $2k and $3k).

No worries. Since you haven't built a system yet it might be worth looking at the new AMD cards because the 6900XT $1k and is supposedly close to being on par with the 3090

I am planning on getting a 3070 and then using EVGA's step up program to get a 3080 FTW3

I am definitely an Nvidia die-hard.  AMD specs always look great on paper but their drivers are abysmal and always seem to suffer from frame pacing issues and microstutter.  I also have a G-sync monitor so I'm pretty much hedging my bets on getting a 3080.  Thanks for the input though.

While I'm waiting for my 3090 notification, I'm also reading about the possible PS concerns, and new 3000 series of cards.

That's got me double-checking my setup, where I'm running with a Corsair HX1200i:

I should be in good shape?
