Just to set the table for the week, here is where the 3080 and 3090 queues were as of 7 pm Friday night.  Hopefully this week's drops move all of these queue (and the 3070 queues) forward.

Cheers.. and hmmm that's a good idea, in fact I bet you'd get a lot of business making those for forum members for some $ for the cards that don't come with backplates.. although I guess you'd also need to source screws for them. Wouldn't do anything for cooling, but a big plus for aesthetics!

That would have been great if I resided in the US. But am from the other corner of the world.
I want the back plate purely for aesthetics. Have some ideas. Lets see if I can make them a reality.

You got that right. It really is more of a relief than anything right now. But I'm sure that'll change once we get some games fired up on these beasts.

Totally. Now I have to sit in my home office trying to work while that box from EVGA is sitting in the corner just tempting me.. and right underneath it is another delivery that came this morning - 2 x 280mm Corsair Hydro XR5 radiators and a XD5 pump/reservoir. This build is going to be an absolute beast. Some fittings are coming all the way from Taiwan so unfortunately I'll have to wait a little while for those before I can set up my loop.

You are more than 10 minutes away.  On launch day, when the whole world is aware that the auto-notify button equates to your position in the queue, the queue is tremendously frontloaded around 6:00 to 6:05.  Unfortunately, I am afraid that you will be waiting awhile yet.  Sorry I don't have better news.

Let's goooo 3080 Xc3 black cards today! Fingers crossed because I'm 51st out of 525+ people on that queue lol

I signed up for the FTW3 Ultra 3070 on launch, at 6 AM on the dot. No email yet. There's really no hope my 9/23 3080 FTW3 will ever come through lmao.

You should have gotten your notification. FTW3 Ultra is at 06:00:11 IIRC.
Does your "my notifies" page show as notification not sent?

I recall seeing on 10/29 one 3070 FTW3 Ultra date/time stamp at 6:00:11.  I imagine there are a good number at each second tick in the first minute or two.  Sounds like you may have just missed the 10/29 drop of that card.

A lot of people said/are still saying that once we get past the 17th (for the 3080 FTW3 Ultra) everything should go faster and get better but unfortunately keep in mind that there is no guarantee here: for all we know the 18th and next couple of days after could be just as bad or even worse...

Just looking at the spreadsheet, once we get past the 17th...possibly the morning of the 18th...things should pick up considerably (in terms of fewer new registrants per day).  We saw something similar in the 3090 FTW3 Ultras and the pattern should hold in the 3080s as well.  There will be a slow down again around 10/5 - 10/6 when the queue system was announced.
 
But, once we get through those periods of congestion, the queue should feel like a frozen knife through sub-zero butter.  But at least it will be moving faster than it has been.

Jacob confirmed on twitter that 3080 XC3 Blacks are still on track to drop this week  I'll let ya'll know when the first batch goes out since I'll be at the top of the list again.

I see the 3080 XC3 Black is at $ 729 now. Just wondering if we signed up for auto notify when it was $699 will we get the $699 deal or have to pay the extra $30 now.
