Fellow 2080 ti owner here. The 3080 is an unacceptable upgrade path for me. After waterblock and BIOS OC, the 3080 FE is only about 13.4% better @1440p.

I will waterblock, liquid metal, and BIOS OC my 3090 and run it like a scalded dog.

I'm expecting an email for 3090 ftw3 ultra some time next week but knowing 6800xt and 3080ti just around the corner, I'm hesitating but at the same time I know those cards are going to be in the same situation.
Might just pay premium for ease of mind, since I don't bother with the f5 game or fighting with bots.  Crazy how much faster 3090 moved but then again they need to move 3090 before AMD releases their cards and 3080ti get announced

In the year of covid, I think everything (including software being finalized and QA remotely) will be delayed.  For 2020, I fully anticipate the 6800xt being the equivalent of vaporware for 90%+ of gaming enthusiasts who want to purchase one.  For me, I am sticking with the folks who appreciated that I am not a bot; EVGA has my vote -- and will eventually have my money.

+1. so Far only EVGA is doing a correct way of notication. I did too in other website like AMAZON,NEWROTTENEGGS... ,H&B, And I hardly dought they will sent it to me any sooner.

I9-10850k - Z490 ASUS ROG Strix Gaming E - 64GB DDR4 3600MHz G-Skill Neo - x2 Samsung M.2 1T 970 Evo Plus - 3080 XC3 ULTRA with Dual Custom Weather cooled System - Lian li 011 Dynamic - Lian li Uni-Fan - Triple Acer 27" Monitor 1080p at 144Hz - Now I can play Minecraft with AAx16 so no pixels will be visible, with RTX ON, and with high resolution and ultra on shadows........ LOL! Just Kidding...

Yikes.  I would gladly take 10 to 15% increase in performance.  At 13.4%, I am probably pretty happy.  I have to ask, what performance increase percentage are you targeting for your rescue pup?

I just went from a 2080 Ti to a 3080, because I needed HDMI 2.1

The jump is only about 20% on rasterized game, but on games that support Ray Tracing, the difference is higher. Up to 30-40% depending on the RTX implementation.

Still, I'd say that if you already have a 2080 Ti and don't need HDMI 2.1, its not worth getting a 3080. Especially with all the hassle getting one these days.

Ill be increasing my VR Goggle resolution by a full 50%. Im going to try very hard to make sure that I see a 35% increase in performance in the usual metrics.

3080 and 3090 are pure waste for 1440p.
You need a 4K resolution in order to  see difference. Check some game 4K benchmarks.

Marketplace seller, not NewEgg.  Amazon does the same thing and it's annoying.

So is there a reason a single 3070 XC3 ultra hasn’t been released in the queue yet? Been a week and not a single person on the list has a notification.

Don't Newegg get a cut too for everything that sells on the marketplace? So they know, just turning a blind eye

Yes they do, greed taking over all retailers - one by one, promoting scalping prices instead MSRP.

Just realized that post is probably going to get removed because it has nothing to do with EVGA 30 series card, but it's not illegal to post such things on NewEgg (or just about any decent sized online business).  None of the companies that has 3rd party seller ability will stop anyone from potential scalping as long as the product is legit.

Of course, they are getting a cut. Why else would they allow a competitor to sell through their storefront? Where it gets weird is when a vendor offloads a chunk of it's inventory to a third party who marks it up and splits the proceeds. They create artificial scarcity and make more money on the back end. I am not saying that Newegg is doing this, but it happens A LOT and it's not that easy to expose.

I have been fighting scalpers for decades trying to get concert tickets. Everyone used to have to go to an outlet that sold tickets, or call on the phone. The outlets pretty much went away by the early 2000's and calling was no longer viable either. It was an internet free for all from then on. Back when there were outlets, all you had to do was be first in line and hope that the employee running the BASS/Ticketmaster/Ticketron machine knew what they were doing. The internet was supposed to put everyone on more or less equal footing, but Bots were a problem almost immediately and it has since become impossible to get anything really good unless you pay more than face value, usually a lot more. This all happened before my eyes. I used to be really good at scoring good tickets, but it got harder and harder starting around 2001-2002. These days, you need to have your own bot if you want to have a decent chance of getting low row seats to the Rolling Stones, or a prime camp spot during the busy season in Big Sur. Yep, scalpers have infiltrated websites like Reserve America and they hold campsites hostage too. The music and sports industries have been upended by COVID, so now the scalpers are hoarding video cards. You know some of these cats are purchasing dozens at a time with bots and selling them at a $400 markup.

~edit

Vendors who don't even bother to limit early purchases to one card per customer are suspect, as far as I'm concerned. There is nothing to stop them from doing some scalping of their own. Ticketmaster does it with those "platinum" seats. How that's legal I don't know, but that's the free market/no morality world that we live in. At least we have a queue to wait in.

This is not directly Newegg selling it at that price, Newegg always sells the product for the actual price of the product or at a deal.
That's why Newegg has a (filter setting) to make sure you're buying directly from them - (Sold & Shipped by Newegg)... Even on the image, you posted - It clearly says (Sold by PC Power Marketplace)

That may be true. They may have a guaranteed shipment coming but I hope you do in fact receive in and they follow through. You can also find cards of all places on Etsy. Asus Tuf went for only 100 bucks over msrp. Free shipping and no tax.

You are correct, my mistake. I was going thru the spreadsheet and it looks like 3 people managed to sign up for notifications a day before the launch (September 16th). I incorrectly assumed that was the launch date. Should have remembered that it was the 17th.
