Honestly, now that the 3897 is just about past the day after release, I think it's looking good for you :)
You will literally be in next drop or two, so be ready for it this week :)

I also blame NVIDIA as it not EVGA as the reason in shortages in chips that even one need chip is suffering from including auto businesses which is pure short term mismanagement.

Agree with others that your number will be coming up soon. Here's the movement of the 3897 so far this month: Friday was a straggler day for sure, but a few good days like last week, and your number should be coming up. I'm a few hours ahead of you at 09/19/2020 04:34:33 and I fully expect this week to be it for me.

So I submitted a question/query to eVGA CS about the fact that my 3090 FTW3 Hybrid is hitting power limit so low (420-450W in game) and is thereby being throttled in clocks to stay within that BS power limit, regardless of it not actually hitting power-spec on anything but the PCIe Slot (getting up to 80W which is no bueno). Going to see what they say about whether or not this is something I can/should RMA the card for, I'm expecting them to say I can, but there's no guarantee I wouldn't get another card with the same issue... We shall see how it goes, I'll report back for those looking at getting a 3090 FTW3 Ultra or FTW3 Hybrid, so you guys know what you're getting in to with the whole 450W stock power limit and "500W" XOC Beta BIOS that doesn't seem to hit anywhere near 500W for the vast majority of people on these forums. Will be going to find the UPS guy & pick up my Kingpin in about 6 hours, much excite.
Good luck on the queue today everyone!

Parlez vou anglais? The answer to your question would entirely depending on which card you are queued for, and if you're in the EU or NA - since you are speaking le French, I assume you're either french-Canadian or in le France (or who knows, maybe some French speaking exotic country). Depending on your location, and which card you queued for, December 28th could be not that bad, or a very, very long wait. Most 3080s except the Hybrids are no where near that date, 3090s except the Hybrids are not near it too but they're moving faster, both the Hybrid & non-Hybrid editions, and the 3070/3060 Ti's are... well, not really sure, I'd have to check ENewt's chart. Google Translate Go because I'm way too mentally exhausted to try to translate that in to le French myself right now, I'm 19 years removed from my last french class, did the important parts: La réponse à votre question dépendra entièrement de la carte pour laquelle vous êtes en attente et si vous êtes dans l'UE ou dans les États-Unis. Selon votre emplacement et la carte pour laquelle vous avez fait la queue, le 28 décembre pourrait être pas si mal, ou une très, très longue attente.

I replied in both french & englando, but it got pending approvaled because it put weird code boxes around the translation output. Hopefully a mod will get around to it here pretty quick.

Lel no the Hybrid is likely going to be RMAed then the replacement will be going to a new owner either before or after I test to see if it has the same "500W" problem, depending on what the new owner decides. I am SO looking forward to having a card that laughs at power limits & will have thermal problems before hitting a power limit if I decide to go full ham & pop the 1K BIOS on it. At the very least, I'm hoping to get 15K out of this system on Port Royal, and hopefully something north of 2145MHz stable for 24/7 usage with an undervolt (assuming stock voltage is still the same on the Kingpin, that should entirely be possible since they're pre-tested to guarantee they'll hit 2100MHz+ or something of that nature). Ideally 2200+, but I doubt that's going to be 24/7 usage-able, we'll see though. I'm going to do it in phases instead of going full ham right away, since I can take my time with it as it's going to be mine for as long as I want to keep it - start off with maybe the regular OC BIOS, then go to the LN2 520W BIOS, see where it hits walls on that BIOS, then maaaaaaaaybe get the 1000W BIOS stuff from Vince & set it to something like 600W max & see what she can do still on the AIO. At that point I think I'd need to be most concerned about the vRAM & VRMs on the card - but supposedly the Kingpin's cooling on the VRMs & vRAM is "better" because of the thicker/more amply-finned bare-copper heatsinks on the VRMs, as compared to the Hybrid 3090 FTW3 which has, from what I've seen, kinda thickish black-coated heatsinks that really don't look that effective in comparison. I wish I could find better pictures of the 3090/3080 FTW3 Hybrid VRM cooling fins, there's no way for me to get good pictures of mine because I'm not about to take the card apart. But comparing anything to this just looks inferior: (obviously the Threadripper block this dude put on it is not stock, but all that lovely copper heatsinkness IS stock)

sturm375 Since we're playing that game, they need to move the 3885 first, then you guys can have your hybrids :p
I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a tweet from Jacob that said the quickest way for all cards to be built was to do 3898 first and then 3885. Something about "tab A slot B" but I can't remember.

s.karkav On a somewhat related note, pertaining to PSU needs for the 3080 specifically, I noticed someone mentioning recommending a 850w PSU. Eh.
750w is more than enough to keep you in the good power range of a gold rated psu for even the craziest 3080 uses. 3090 not sure but probably still within that sweet spot of 60-80% usage. TLDR if you're going to spend more money on a PSU, first upgrade from bronze to gold rating, then go up in wattage. Unless you're running multiple overclocked gpu's AND overclocked top end processors, even a 650w is going to cover you for 90% of your usage, but might as well go 850 to never think about it again. There's plenty of reasons to go with higher wattage psu's, but for most users running a 3080 with some lightweight OC going on in their systems, you're really not going to realistically draw more than 500-600w from your system, so an 850w is just kinda pointless.
For the record, I've worked with building computers for videogame dev companies for the past 10 years. There's plenty more qualified people than me to talk about this stuff but I have a good gist of what I'm talking about- Feel free to counter me though, if you have better knowledge :)
This is bad advice full stop. How many 3080's are you running ? If you are you would know that a 650 or 750 Power supply unless it's Platinum/Titanium and really a 1000w rebadged as lower, would be running at 80-100% in most peoples PC's, and around here with OC CPU and GPU's, tons storage and of fans, and more. Lesser quality 750 PS will be dead in days, likely taking components with it. Even higher quality 750 will be running close to max, putting major thermal load into overall temps and likely failing within a few months with same risks. This is common sense really, do you want a motor that will have to run at full throttle all the time to barely get up the mountain or do you want enough power reserve to do it at 40-60% running cool and efficient and with reserve for peaks and lasting well beyond 5 years. Your telling people to tow a 20,000 trailer up a mountain with Prius.

I agree. I would not run a 3080 or 3090 with anything less than a 850, but I personally prefer 1000 watt or more. Not upgrading an older 650 or 750 watt psu is penny wise pound foolish when you are putting in a ~$800 to ~$1,500 component which has serious power spikes. I have a five year old 1200 watt evga psu that I replaced with a 1000 watt bequiet psu just for peace of mind.

Say 8 kwatts a day to just mine the rig or 80 cents at 10 cent power and 3.20 at 40 cent power. 95 x 0.0768 = 7.29 a day before power so 7.29-3.20 = 4.09 at 40 cent power 24/7 mining or 7.29- .80 = 6.49 at 10 cent power. 24/7 mining. If you mine 12 hours: 2.09 a day at 40 cent power 407 days to full pay back 3.24 a day at 10 cent power. 262 days to full payback I personally would not want to use 220-230 watts non stop on a 3080 card in a closed rig. I do not know what a 3080 clocked to 180 watts or 190 watts would pay in hash rate.
