Hello guys,

Realistically, having just signed up, in any queue EU/NA, you are probably looking at six+ months minimum depending on the SKU.

For the EU, I would argue longer actually....

I'm number one in line, but probably going to pass. Can't justify spending the money at this point, and don't have anyone in my corner that would want it either

The only queues I've given up on are the "-KR" queues that are crossed out. Everything else...I still expect them to move...albeit slooooooowly.

Bovine Gamer used to keep a list but he has gone silent.  I am actually going to give him another week or so to pipe up and then I will remove from my signature block the link to his summary doc.

Evga doesn't want to reveal your place in queue so volunteers have to do it.  Also, they don't have to hire as many people to do support, etc with the help provided on the forums.

Looking at the movement over the last few weeks here, I would feel much better being a few hours away on a 3080Ti FTW3 versus an hour on the 3070Ti.  Aside from the fact that the 3070Ti list seems to be more densely packed, it seems EVGA is releasing 3080Tis more frequently AND people who did queue for them are not blindly pulling the trigger on a $1399 card.

Is it a faux pas to ask to buy a card from someone who is deciding to pass on their soon-to-be cue slot?  Pay it forward... or something like that... :)

I don't see a big issue with offering the queue card to someone close to that person, like a coworker or a friend.  I do see some ethical issues with actively soliciting a stranger to "sell/give" their queue spot.  When someone passes their queue spot, they effectively move everyone behind them up one spot.  When someone circumvents that, they basically cut the line.  One helps everyone, the other helps only the person who offered to buy their card.

If I was someone selling a card (which I'm not), I would rather pass on it than sell it to someone as there would be credit card fees, fraud, etc to consider.  I don't think most people are fraudulent, but you have to consider that risk if you are not making some sort of profit or payment for services.  EVGA is a lot better equipped and makes a lot more profit to handle that aspect of it.  If it goes back in the queue, it would go to someone patiently waiting in line that may or may not be just as "worthy".  On the other hand, I mean, it is between you and whoever you are asking and nobody elses business really, lol.

I agreed with you both, and that is what I was mostly debating internally.  Really the next person in line is the best candidate for the card in this instance.  I think my greed got the best of me here and I was salivating too much to think clearly!

I agree that passing (or even removing your notifies in advance of the queue reaching you, if you are 100% positive that you are not going to buy it) is a preferred approach.  But, that's just my opinion and folks are free to go through the administrative burden (and risk) of a private deal.
