johcamp21 I managed to snag a card for a build from MC a months ago after a long camp. There was all kinds of shady stuff going on in the front of the line. I went by there this morning using the new system and was able to snag a 3070 tuf. It seemed to work well ....... for me at least. A big change from the newegg shuffle. Going straight into a build for a church friend. When I called him earlier he was so excited. That joy keeps me doing this day in and day out and is well worth the trouble.
Awesome! Making folks happy is always a good feeling. I think I'mma have to make a few trips, since my needs are fairly specific. It's weird though how the sign out front says the QR code changes every day, but it also has a regular URL you can go to if you're having trouble. It makes me wonder if I can just jump in at 9, then head there at 9:50 or so for a minimum of sitting in my car.

Gato84 Does anyone know when will be some movement on the 3080 TI FTW? Did Jacob say anything about it?
I believe he said there is a large(ish) shipment coming in next week on Twitter. Someone posted it in here a few pages ago.
Thank you. I didn't read it. I hope that "large shipment" reach 7:59am in the queue.
Haha... yeah, that would be nice. I'm at 7:57 and I image by large, he meant like 50 cards. We might be lucky if it moves a couple of minutes.

rahimdamji29 anyone whos got a 3080ti ftw3, how do they overclock? I was debating on that or a 3090 ftw3 HC which im literally 2 seconds from vs 7:53 on the 3080ti ftw3 ultra
I have both the 3080Ti and the 3090. OC similar to the 3090. Roughly 1000 point difference in Timespy (19300 for the 3090, 18200 for the3080Ti - with the same light OC applied to both). Framerate wise, they are again similar, although the extra cuda cores to make a difference and of course the 24 GB of ram makes a difference when modding games.
my 3080 ftw3 can get 19300 score in timespy.... when its overclocked.... hopefully 3080ti is worth it...

I just got there at 9 scanned the code then pulled my laptop out and caught up on emails in the parking lot. They texted about an hour later. When you walk up to the store they put you in a mini line until folk in front of you clear out. This son dad combo was behind me and the kid 12 or 13ish was just so dang happy he got selected. We were talking about fortnite and warzone, and other games he plays. I'm an older gamer dude so his dad probably thought it was weird lol. It was fun just listening to how excited he was. Does me good when I see people like that getting cards.

philipma1957 Still playing on ebay making offers for evga 3070 ftw3. I offer a few hundred under the price. I have watch the evga 3070 ftw3 drop from highs of 1800-2200 to 1100-1200 which is not terrible if you have a few coupons etc. I offer under 1000 and so far no takers. I am hoping for that evga kingpin hybrid to move more I am number 36 on the list. It looks like my best shot at a card from the queue list.
Do you think all those months between dates are missing lots of users that are not in the forums?
I do not quite understand the wording of your question, but the kingpin hybrid queue is at 1/16/2021 I am at 1/31/2021 that is # 36 I think there are 2 or 3 or 4 people that did not report which means I am at 39-41. I say this because one or two times each week a few people get added to that list. Sometimes they are ahead of my number and sometimes they are behind my number. As I get closer less people are slipping in ahead of me. I was as high as 220 so I have been getting closer . My wait for this card has been 138 days. I hope to get it before July 4th

That's awesome. I, too, am an older gamer dude and spent some time in the industry so I love watching kids eyes when I start talking with them about games and demonstrating real gamer cred...the kids are impressed and the parents are the opposite. I think I get disinvited to more neighborhood cocktail hours this way than through any other means.... Over the last nine months, the posts that have brought me the most joy are messages of a parent (gamer or non-gamer) who is ecstatic that they have finally secured a card for the child or grandchild. It is a mixture of relief, joy...and...relevance...the parent establishing that they can hunt and gather for their child. I love it! Edit: Thanks johcamp21. I appreciate the kind thoughts and will pass them along.

exactly 90 days from when you spun the wheel, should have an email telling you when you got it, which can give you a reference point to see how long you have to use it

CptT95 for the custom loop enthusiasts out there, Hardware labs 360 GTR and GTX came back into stock recently, GTR was in single digit stock on Performance pcs first I saw day or two ago, and gtx had a couple to a few hundred iirc I just ordered a GTR plus fittings and extra set of 3 fans myself, hopefully I have enough hardware to setup my dual pump/res system like I want
Nice! I am running 2x360 HW labs right now. A gtr on the bottom and a gts on the top. Thinking of going with an sr2 on the bottom for better drain port locations and sticking the GTR on top.
I would leave the GTR on bottom with push pull fans, its got high air flow resistance meaning unless you run fans at 1500 or higher all the time, its not giving you the performance its capable of with only push or pull alone, with the GTX being far better up to around that 1500 mark also let me know how you did your drain port there, I am looking at putting my SR2 up top since it doesnt fit on the side, gtr on bottom push pull and gts on side thing is IDK if the SR2 will clear my Asus Crosshair VIII formula mobo IO shroud with its OLED screen built in, I do NOT want to have to remove that, so if I cant clear with one set of fans on SR2, it will be getting only 2 fans out of 3 XD

That day is probably coming when my kid is older, for now it's just the younger folks at work that are surprised that I'm a gamer. Even though I snagged a 3080 Ti for myself I'm staying on queue for the others to get a card for my niece's build and for a coworker who wanted to get into gaming after hearing the rest of us talk about it but neither could get a card for non-scalper prices. If they get something before my place in line comes up then I'll withdraw and someone else will get theirs just a little bit sooner. Scalpers have been invading my other hobby: beer. They sit in line with all the mules they can afford at beer releases where they know they can resell for crazy amounts and prevent others from getting a chance to even try some of these great beers. I'm so fed up with them that my wife and I buy our limit for each and then thread-crap the sales threads for them with offers at $1 less than cost. Oh and while I'm at it thanks for volunteering to administer this thread! I've been following for months but have mostly been lurking until recently. I wasn't able to use your associate code, being one myself, but hopefully you're getting some decent cred for your efforts. Maybe we can petition EVGA to sign your KPE when the time comes or at the very least give you a snarky forum title

Thanks for coming out of the lurking shadows to post; it is our stories that bring life to this thread while we wait. Thank you also for the kind words. I hope to get JacobF to sign my KPE box but I also hope to convince him to open up the box and sign the card itself. It would be uber cool if he wrote something like "I drew enewt like I draw my French girls." Probably too much to ask, right? Still, I am convinced that my name will be called on a Titanic Tuesday.... Oh, and regarding a cool forum title, EVGA Amphibian has a nice ring to it. Thanks again!

Safe travels and godspeed, Mr. Newt. I read today that lumber prices are finally dropping. As soon as we learn to hew GPUs out of wood, we're all golden.

enewt I am off later today to see my mom in person for the first time in almost 9 months as her nursing home finally opens up to allow 1 hour visits by family members. So five hours of traveling for about 60 minutes of semi-quality time with the oldest living amphibian in our family…time very well spent. 100%.
I just got back Monday from a 13 hour drive (each way) to see my 87-yr-old mom for the first time since September 2019. Got lucky enough to spend almost 24 hours with her total. We normally make the trip 1-2 times per year, but, you know - Covid. This one was special. Enjoy your time with her!

I can't see pining for one, but I guess that they could be poplar if companies spruce them up a little. And that, is my 100th, and probably final, comment. I am already Elite, but as of last night, I have no reason to be here anymore. NewEgg was kind enough to send a Gigabyte my way, which will arrive next week. This completes my first PC build in a decade with absolutely nothing from EVGA in it. (Lack of parts, not lack of desire.. I did upgrade another PC with an EVGA keyboard) End of an era, so to speak. I may or may not jump on any EVGA notifies that come my way, but my immediate needs are satisfied. Good luck to all of you who are waiting. It has been an interesting 112 days hanging around here. And, as luck would have it, an EVGA notify popped... 12G-P5-3657-KR 2/28/2021 10:28:46 AM PT Yes
