Still playing on ebay making offers for evga 3070 ftw3.
I offer a few hundred under the price.
I have watch the evga 3070 ftw3 drop from highs of 1800-2200 to 1100-1200 which is not terrible if you have a few coupons etc. I offer under 1000 and so far no takers.
 
I am hoping for that evga kingpin hybrid to move more

I believe he said there was going to be a 3967 drop, but not 100% as of late.

I would hope that posts would decline. To me that would indicate fewer people in the queue. Since they are increasing, I'm assuming people are joining the queue faster than people are leaving it. That doesn't signal that I am getting a card anytime soon, but I'll try to remain optimistic.
 
 

Keep in mind there was a HUUUUUUUUUUGE influx of spam posts over the last month - essentially ever since they announced the early queueing for elite members. There were hundreds of posts of "Thanks!" and "". That should die off now because we're done with product launches (bar a 3050 Ti or something on the lower end).

I believe he said there is a large(ish) shipment coming in next week on Twitter. Someone posted it in here a few pages ago.

Jacob posted we were supposed to see some shipment on the 3968......no movement yesterday...someone must not have reported or that was a very small drop..for it to not move 1 second

welcome to the queue, this has been the MO for 3897 since the beginning, take every announcement with a grain of salt because 1) they don't say how big the drop is and 2) everybody's mother, father, brother, and sister may be infront of you in the list and they didn't report their timestamp.

Just need 35 seconds of drops......

So apparently my local Micro Center has just (in the last couple weeks) shifted from their "camp out overnight and get a voucher" system to something akin to Newegg shuffle. Basically show up between 9 and 9:30 each morning, scan a QR code to enter a random drawing at 10, and hope 1: You get picked, and 2: They have something you want. In my case, of course I'm hoping for EVGA, specifically a 3080 hybrid. Since it appears the hybrids are (probably) only sold directly from EVGA at this point (I got my 2080 hybrid off Amazon, but that was well before the shortages kicked in), I will probably have to hope for a fan-cooled one and then add the AIO myself.
 
I asked an employee today, and was told "It's entirely random what we get". Still, since the EVGA queue for 3080 hybrids is currently in late December and my position is...mid-May, it seems entirely possible I'll get lucky through MC first, heh. Kinda sucks I guess that I have to get such a specific card. The 3070 is a sidegrade at best to my 2080, and I just can't justify the cost of a 3080 Ti or 3090 for how small their gains are over a 3080. Oh well.

A couple others mentioned they had scalpers camped at their local MC that were paying shills to stand in line every morning to buy up all their cards. Going to a lottery system means there's a chance someone other than scalpers will get the cards because at some point it isn't going to be worth their time and money paying shills for no gains. I still think someone should rent a water truck, park in a lot nearby, and rain brackish water down on them and their shills until the police arrive

I have both the 3080Ti and the 3090.  OC similar to the 3090.  Roughly 1000 point difference in Timespy (19300 for the 3090, 18200 for the3080Ti - with the same light OC applied to both).
Framerate wise, they are again similar, although the extra cuda cores to make a difference and of course the 24 GB of ram makes a difference when modding games.

You mean that when offering an incentive to post, people would add a gratuitous post just to work their way to elite status? You mean they would create a post that doesn't add to the conversation, but just clogs the feed?

It's sad and mind boggling that in 2021 we are waiting months and months for a GPU.

I managed to snag a card for a build from MC a months ago after a long camp. There was all kinds of shady stuff going on in the front of the line. I went by there this morning using the new system and was able to snag a 3070 tuf. It seemed to work well ....... for me at least. A big change from the newegg shuffle. Going straight into a build for a church friend. When I called him earlier he was so excited. That joy keeps me doing this day in and day out and is well worth the trouble.
