I think Urobulus mentioned they paid about $200 CAD overall on top of shipping (or maybe it was shipping included? Can't remember).

I don't know the cost but I have seen mentioned many times that its cheaper if you pay for the most expensive shipping option then the fees are lower and its cheaper overall.

So we had some drops today. Not enough breadth or depth, in my opinion. But the latest movement is reflected below.
The only other noteworthy thing that happened in my world today occurred during the friendly banter Mrs. enewt and I have in the middle of the day during our lunch break. She was telling me a story about her work and how a colleague of hers was complaining about the laws of California...and somehow making my wife the living embodiment of said State of California. I interrupted her story to tell her that I would love to frolic on her beaches.
As the narrative she was telling was one of frustration and work-related detritus, she was not entertained. What is an amphibian to do but to double down (why do you think we lose our tails so darn often), right?!? So I immediately broke into my Howard Cosell impression with a "This is Howard Cosell...and I am coming to you live from the scene of the crime...one of such horrific matrimonial blunders...." She interrupted me as she walked out of the room by asking with complete sincerity, "Who is that you're doing? Anne Bancroft?"
Game, set, match...Mrs. enewt.
I will recover by tomorrow morning...at which time we shall collectively ride into Gaming Valhalla...(or sit on our wall, eating s'mores, genuinely celebrating the folks who do get drops (because that means progress and that our registrations are inching closer...yadda yadda...pass the s'mores)).

So apparently my local Micro Center has just (in the last couple weeks) shifted from their "camp out overnight and get a voucher" system to something akin to Newegg shuffle. Basically show up between 9 and 9:30 each morning, scan a QR code to enter a random drawing at 10, and hope 1: You get picked, and 2: They have something you want. In my case, of course I'm hoping for EVGA, specifically a 3080 hybrid. Since it appears the hybrids are (probably) only sold directly from EVGA at this point (I got my 2080 hybrid off Amazon, but that was well before the shortages kicked in), I will probably have to hope for a fan-cooled one and then add the AIO myself.
I asked an employee today, and was told "It's entirely random what we get". Still, since the EVGA queue for 3080 hybrids is currently in late December and my position is...mid-May, it seems entirely possible I'll get lucky through MC first, heh. Kinda sucks I guess that I have to get such a specific card. The 3070 is a sidegrade at best to my 2080, and I just can't justify the cost of a 3080 Ti or 3090 for how small their gains are over a 3080. Oh well.

for the custom loop enthusiasts out there, Hardware labs 360 GTR and GTX came back into stock recently, GTR was in single digit stock on Performance pcs first I saw day or two ago, and gtx had a couple to a few hundred iirc I just ordered a GTR plus fittings and extra set of 3 fans myself, hopefully I have enough hardware to setup my dual pump/res system like I want

That was probably my problem. I would wait until I felt solidly queasy before I would rest and then it would take forever to recover :/ And yes, the framerate was not IDEAL for VR... lol. Another factor was the room was always warm when I used it and I think my body overheating (I just run hot normally) also made me feel ill. I'll bust it back out this weekend and give it another go :) Thanks for the encouragement, friend!!

Nice! I am running 2x360 HW labs right now. A gtr on the bottom and a gts on the top. Thinking of going with an sr2 on the bottom for better drain port locations and sticking the GTR on top.

I would hope that posts would decline. To me that would indicate fewer people in the queue. Since they are increasing, I'm assuming people are joining the queue faster than people are leaving it. That doesn't signal that I am getting a card anytime soon, but I'll try to remain optimistic.
