I’m just telling what I’m seeing topped with my personal experience in IT equipment distribution company. EVGA trying to be “nice” by creating the queue and I appreciate that but so far if you are waiting for 3080 card there is absolutely 0 value in it. What you see here is: we created queue for retail and normal 3080 (not higher priced HC) moved 0 from September. No single metric from EVGA though on how many 3080s they totally got and how much went to queue members. That would be transparency and not what we are seeing now. I’m Evga fan for 5 generations of cards now but my patience running thin when I see 15 Evga 3080 Ti sold by Amazon vendor while we get ****. Pardon my french

I actually have a Oculus Rift S! Tbh, haven’t used it in months though - not since I had my 1080 Ti FTW3 in my rig. Might need to dig that out of storage! 😬 honestly, it’s a bummer that F1 doesn’t have native VR support (and won’t in F1 2021 either). I’d have to download a bunch of mods/software to do it. I feel like they’re way behind the curve in that regards. But between that headset and my racing sim, I might end up with VR sickness again 😅 I should have told the CFO I was holding THAT for a friend 🤣🤣

What!? No native VR in F1? Oh that’s a big bummer.

You definitely need Assetto Corsa then. Wrestling the Shelby Cobra around Imola is exactly what you need to have that 3080Ti stretch her legs.

Fun fact, as far as VR sickness goes, driving sims affect users more than flying sims since the “reference plane” is so much closer.

Take it easy, 30-40 minutes a day for the first week and you’ll have your VR legs back in no time 😎

the step up program should be delayed.its unfair to everyone whos been waiting months to get a card from the 3080/3090 queues.

Does MicroCenter even carry the hybrid cards? There's one near me, but I've never been there. That seems like one of the ways I'm kinda screwed, because Newegg and Amazon don't carry the 3080 hybrids, so I have basically no choice but to go through the queue here. I suppose I can try to get a regular 3080 and attach the kit myself, but it seems like my odds of finding one of those is even worse.

Oooooooh. You're selling me on this game, KTA. I really will have to look into it. Yeah VR sickness is annoying cause I feel like I can't get the most out of my headset :/ I can play Beat Saber or other 1:1 games but as soon as I have to move in the game without ACTUALLY moving, I feel like I'm dying.

Well my 3060 arrived today from Staffordshire England and I was finally able to let my dear old 1070 take a well earned break. It took about 15 min to install but that's because I was being uber-careful. I launched The New Colossus to give it a test drive and it was Smoooooth as butter now to fire up YoungBlood for the ray tracing.
I kept back one notify for the 3070ti because the 3060 is going FOC to a family member when I get it. 6:54am in the EU queue.

Anyway I've no Jameson's whiskey (I drank it, in case yer wondering) but I guess this little guy will do and so I raise my glass to you all and wish you all the best of luck and watch the Sodium levels guys, its no harm to take a spoon of honey now and then to balance the equation.

Ahh a smoke infused connoisseur. I prefer the highland variety and now that I think of it am going to go pour myself a glass of balvenie. Cheers!

You should’ve seen my first week with it. 🤢🤢🤢 After about a week of <45 minutes (set the phone’s timer) a day, just driving/flying around with nothing else going on I acquired my VR legs.

The first sign of it, you need to call it quits for the day. Also, a lot depends on smooth frame rates, so I’m going to guess your old system had a lot to do with the less than optimal results. 3080Ti should get you smooth as baby’s bottom frame rates without any stutters.

The only other noteworthy thing that happened in my world today occurred during the friendly banter Mrs. enewt and I have in the middle of the day during our lunch break. She was telling me a story about her work and how a colleague of hers was complaining about the laws of California...and somehow making my wife the living embodiment of said State of California. I interrupted her story to tell her that I would love to frolic on her beaches. 
 
As the narrative she was telling was one of frustration and work-related detritus, she was not entertained. What is an amphibian to do but to double down (why do you think we lose our tails so darn often), right?!?  So I immediately broke into my Howard Cosell impression with a "This is Howard Cosell...and I am coming to you live from the scene of the crime...one of such horrific matrimonial blunders...."  She interrupted me as she walked out of the room by asking with complete sincerity, "Who is that you're doing?  Anne Bancroft?"

So, I think I worked to hard today. I cannot figure out how to search the forum properly. So I am just going to be that person that posts, even though it has probably been discussed and answered before.
 
I was in the 3070Ti drop yesterday and did the 2day delivery, with expected delivery tomorrow. But UPS is still just showing the Label Created status. Did the people that got this previously still get their delivery on time? Was it determined that the shipment went out and just didn't get updated in the system properly?

Yes, mine came on time. The evga website was super slow to update with shippong information. I got the email from ups faster than the evga website updated. Dont worry about yet
