For people in Canada (I'm in Montreal, Quebec myself) who ordered here: how much customs did you have to pay when it got here and what was the value of your card? I have a feeling my 3080 Ti will cost me hundreds in customs when it arrives this week and trying to get an idea...

Its never the same twice when ordering from the states. But based on past similar amounts spent I would say this as a worst case scenario.
Plus its being shipped by UPS so it can be expensive they add brokerage fees and others along with the shipping cost  I would expect at least $200 to $325 in total. The duties are mainly tax  and that should come in around 200 ish.
 
Or you will luck out and the duties are passed on.... I have had that too with shipments from the US.
Most of the time Canadians get screwed but every so often the Border Gods let them slip through.

Yeah, it is a bit of a gamble, and I am not sure how those amounts are determined, but usually it is just the sales tax or less, so it is still cheaper than buying it in Canada.
 
However, the last time I bought a 3060 they did not charge me any import duty at all and my roommate paid like $50 for a 3070.

Yes I do. 

I cancelled my order with OG10K cuz i "ordered" a EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra back in the end of November, and last i checked the queue i was #110 and that was a couple months ago.  Already got the 3080 Hybrid and a 3070 FTW3 Ultra from EVGA.  I was done waiting for OG to get 3080 and cancelled.

Others here have mentioned that you should always spring for the most expensive shipping option; seems like there's is less chance of any hang-ups occurring along the way. Otherwise, you should just be paying your provincial tax + GST and a brokerage fee (typically a few percent).

You're quite right to pick expensive shipping options with UPS (~$70+) as they lump on extra fees for cheaper shipping options.  Another user pointed out this page earlier https://www.ups.com/ca/en/shipping/zones-and-rates/customs-clearance.page.  You can see with some higher value items, it's actually less expensive to choose the pricey, fast shipping.  The shady part is UPS doesn't tell you up front, and unless you have an account (free to sign up), you won't know about an unexpected, nasty COD charge.
 
I've paid more in import fees for a $80 CLC with free shipping than a $335 GPU with international expedited shipping (shipped ~1 week apart).
 
Edit: With an UPS account you can also pay import fees ahead of time which apparently improves customs clearance speed.

I only had Worldwide Expedited and Worldwide Saver as choices. Went with Saver since it was more expensive by 3$ and faster from what I saw. Which is weird considering Expedited sounds faster than Saver...

Yes, UPS' shipping option names are terrible.

I don't have much to add, but I doubt I'll receive a notice this week, since it seems like ~7:40 is when the EVGA server issues started to subside for most people.  I imagine a good chunk of people are queued in the 40's and it will move pretty slowly compared to 7:20-7:30.

So conflicted, not sure to build a hydro cooled now. Hybrid vs Hydro, which is best?

Take my advice; decide only once you've actually secured a card 😅. I think setting up a whole custom loop could be a nice project, if you're into that. If you don't have any of the parts though, it's obviously going to be more expensive, like about $500 on top of the card price.

So true! Though my current plan is to get the 3080 Ti and keep myself content for the time being while I wait for my queue for the K|NGP|N Hybrid (still 3-1/2 months worth of queues). Now this presents as an opportunity to get a K|NGP|N sooner.
