Got my wife's 3080Ti hybrid installed.  Reversed airflow, all intake except front exhaust through the hybrid.  CPU runs cooler than before, GPU steady at 60C under load.  She's happy.
I absolutely hate the hybrid fans being 3 pin rgb though.  I tried attaching them to the GPU and the pins broke immediately, even though I had them aligned.  Luckily the motherboard pins were more robust.  
It's a design flaw in general for the 3 pin but honestly the card,s pins were ridiculously thin.
Not worth an RMA though, I'll be putting ML120s on anyway.

What kind of cooling do you have on the CPU?

Ok, im in a lot of stress right now. During the launch day of 3080ti i rushed to website trying to get in que as elite member but website was down, finally it managed to open up, but got redirected few times in the end resulting me in evga.com instead of eu.evga.com, i noticed that only this morning AS theres no que possition on eu one, only on evga.com for the gpu that i want. Am i screwed ? Tried looking for support links so i could contact them directly to ask if they can change it but it's nowhere to be found. So did i just lost my chance in getting a gpu?

If your Notify is with evga.com it won't be shipped to the EU. You could try emailing eu.evga to see if they can help.

Yah, i've sent an email and submited a form online with the same question. Hopefully they can do something about that, considering it's on same email, account etc. My product registration seems to be legit as well... If not, perhaps i'll just try buying it in US and get a friend on someone to ship it to me to EU, or worst case - ill have to buy from scalper.

You can always try caseking or there are a few French & German retailers who will post throughout the euro zone. I was fortunate to find a UK retailer who had stock and I have a 3060 coming.

Thing about retailers, is that they ask for 2x+ price for gpus as well. In some cases scalpers sell them cheaper O.o

Honestly it looks so wierd having that Micro ATX mobo with a GPU bigger then it mounted into a case that big 😆🤣

You're absolutely not wrong, I just didn't want to invest in a new MOBO because it does the job just fine and my CPU is also plenty lol I was going to wait until I eventually need a new CPU and then I'll upgrade the MOBO at that point. It doesn't even have enough USB-C headers for my case XD I only have a mATX MOBO cause I originally had an actual mATX case. One day, I will learn and invest in a custom loop :D

Congrats dude, glad to see another regular get their card even if it was through other means.
That guy sounds really sincere and you're right we don't find those people often, but I like to believe there are many out there just waiting to help.

Thanks :) I feel like I've put enough work into this thread to earn myself a card through other means ;) I agree though, after seeing so many bots and scalpers over the last few months, this did a lot to restore my faith in humanity.

The part I kept in the quote is probably true for most of us. If that fails, there’s always the tried and trusted, “oh honey, I’m keeping it for a friend.” Been known to work on everything up to a vehicle. 😬

so was this the trade up program to get a 3080ti from the 3070ti ? while im happy for you thats a bit disturbing that you were
able to bump out someone who was in line for the 3080ti long before you even got on the 3070ti list.that really sucks for those 
who didnt get on the 3070ti list.im earlier on the 3070ti than the 3080ti so it appears i have an advantage over those on the 3080ti list

It was not the step-up program. I didn't actually bump anyone out of line. I was going to give the 3070 Ti to a friend of mine who has been hunting for a GPU for months to complete his build. I actually ended up connecting with someone who had gotten a 3080 Ti from Micro Center because that was the only thing they had when he went but he wanted a different card. I chatted with him and he worked out a deal so my friend ended up being able to get my 3080 instead of a 3070 Ti and I was able to get a 3080 Ti. It ended up being a win for both of us but don't worry, it had nothing to do with the 3080 Ti queue or the step up program. So I think that should make you less unhappy about the whole situation? I think you just misunderstood what I had said originally.

He never said he got it from the queue or the step up program. He might have gotten it from another retailer and traded plus cash to someone else. Im giving him the benefit of the doubt lol.

I got the 3070 Ti from the queue for a friend, but I ended up being able to trade it and cash with someone and give him a 3080 instead. I had asked him which he preferred and he wanted the 3080 so I sold it to him below MSRP. Hopefully you don’t regret giving me the benefit of the doubt :/

Thank you for coming to my defense! I’m just glad I was able to help a friend out. He’d been searching for months and had absolutely no luck with online drops. Funny story, actually. We had told him I might be able to hook him up with a card. When we let him know that it was happening, we were like “Do you want to come pick it up later tonight? Tomorrow?” And he was like “HOW ABOUT RIGHT NOW?! IM HOPPING IN THE SHOWER”
