Hi enewt,

My brother received his notification on Friday for the 3070 FTW3 (3767). I'm posting this on his behalf. He also used your Associate's Code.

08G-P5-3767-KR 11/25/2020 3:55:44 PM PT Yes

Thank you.

Thanks for reporting back.  Please, on my behalf, congratulate your brother and thank him for using the Associate’s Code for his 3% discount at checkout.  I do appreciate the consideration.

I just got back from boogie boarding with my daughter...awesome!  I hope folks are getting out and about this weekend.

Regarding the 3080 Ti, we might get a little straggler drop on Monday, but I think the late Friday afternoon drop was what JacobF was alluding to in his tweets.

Regarding the queue summaries, I tend to think that BovineGamer and my summaries are a bit more accurate than others.  But, to be clear, we both err on the side of being conservative...and we don't include reports that appear to be outliers or otherwise suspicious. That means that we are sometimes behind the actual head of the queue, but I would argue that we are never materially behind. The worse thing you can be is ahead of the queue as then folks start to worry that they've been skipped...to be clear, in my experience, EVGA has never skipped anybody.  Here is the latest North American EVGA Queue Summary; I hope it helps.

TRMV, congratulations, your watch is O-V-E-R!  Well done, sir.  Thanks for playing. Please remember to tip your waitstaff. In all seriousness, thanks for being part of this community; your presence was felt and mattered. Enjoy your gaming goodness!

The queue for 3080 Ti has moved 18 minutes in one week...

With the website problems on that launch day, I don't think it's going to be a good comparison for movement.

Yes, I was about to type the same thing. And that we have 3090 HC on the other end of the spectrum. A walloping 16.5 seconds[\b] of moment in TWO months! (Well, almost, since April 15th)

Not sure what the website issues on launch day have to do with it.  However, it is possible that it moves 18 minutes in one week and then never again.  But, given that this product line will likely continue to be produced and the regular 3080's are in question, I'd say that anyone that got in at least within the first couple of hours should be good.  But, then I look at those September queues...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but all of these queue reports or only as good as people reporting to them. So, let's say that if people aren't reporting that they're getting their notifications, then it doesn't get reflected in the queue. I would imagine the amount of people actually reporting is quite low. So, it's possible that those September queues are further along than the reporting reflects. This can account for sudden jumps in queues, along with other factors. One of those being the issues on launch day which are the cause of a lot of the gaps in timestamps.  It's also possible for there to be a much larger surge of people that signed up close to the launch, and then it could taper way off after, and the queue could progress faster after surpassing that hump. There are just a lot of variables here.

Regardless, it's not very accurate to compare one SKU's movement to another's because there are a lot of variables to account for. We just don't know because we don't have access to all the data needed to come to an accurate conclusion. There's not real accurate estimation for when you can expect a notification TBH, due to that.

Sure, we don't get reports from absolutely everyone, but we are still reasonably certain that the queues stuck in September are actually stuck in September. I don't really accept the concept of "unless everyone is reporting, then the data is bad". This is exactly how statistics work; we collect data from a representative sample, and make inference on a population. We never have all the data. What we have right now is pretty good and more than enough to make reasonable inference.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the community spreadsheet ☺️. I hope you all get your card soon!

Everyone. The day came. I got my 3898 from ups today and installed it, finding out I need a bigger case (i already have a full size case dang it) to fit both my cpu and gpu watercoolers in. So currently after a slight case modification, everything is sitting in the case nicely (new case comes in on monday)

It makes a biiiig difference going from a 1080 to a 3080. Games I was barely able to play on 2k high settings, I can now comfortably play on 4k ultra settings. (Looking at you CoD and Assassins Creed.)

But to sum it up. It has been nice complaining and waiting with all you folks! I'll see yall in a few years when the 6080 comes out (hopefully the 3080 can keep up till then like my trusty 1080 did.)

Enewt, you are a great person for everything you do and have done around here.

Jacob mentioned that the 3080 ti drops were to be on either Friday "or" Monday. Since drops happened on Friday, should I hamper my expectations that I will receive an email on Monday.

I reeeeeeally hope we get a drop on Monday as I'm mere minutes away from the current latest time. Hopefully they get a shipment over the weekend.

Monday should also bring with it a share of straggler notifications for those that didn't pick up the metaphorical phone by the end of business day Friday. Even if there's no new shipment, there will likely be some minor queue movement. Good news for those close to the current timestamp, indifferent news to those who are farther on.

Hey guys, it's me again.

What a nice turn of cards! :O.

Don’t lurk! We definitely need our brand of crazy in the thread 🤣🤣

Shiny build ;)

Yeah, right?! The guy ended up being a super nice dude and after explaining to him how I was trying to help out a friend with a card and how I did NOT want to scalp mine to be able to buy one at scalper prices, he decided to help me out (and only make a small profit in the process). We ended up chatting for a bit before he was finally like "you know what, I'll help you guys out :)". He also told me someone made him a really good cash offer (at absolute scalper price) last night but he didn't want to do it to me so he followed through on our deal. You don't find people like that very often and I was blessed to come across this guy. I firmly believe it's the universe paying me back for being so determined to help my friend out and for not taking advantage of people by scalping. Not gonna call it "karma" because I know that's not REALLY what karma is, but I like to think I was rewarded to sticking to my morals :) Whether or not I comment a ton, I'm gonna be here just because your jokes are straight fire, mate  Thanks for the compliment on my build, my wife is only okay with it because she doesn't know how MUCH it cost ;)

Congrats dude, glad to see another regular get their card even if it was through other means.
That guy sounds really sincere and you're right we don't find those people often, but I like to believe there are many out there just waiting to help.

It looks like the card good work really did pay off. Nice.

Thanks for the nice words. I may have wrote once or twice, I have a very dry sense of humor and I’m frequently misunderstood so it’s nice to know it’s not always lost :).

The part I kept in the quote is probably true for most of us. If that fails, there’s always the tried and trusted, “oh honey, I’m keeping it for a friend.” Been known to work on everything up to a vehicle. 😬

Congrats MikeVan and Brewer!
That’s a nice looking rig Mike!
For many, this forum thread has become a community of friends, who enjoy and root for each other’s success, whether in the queue or from sources external.
We’ve gone through months of ups and downs. Hundreds (thousands?) of “how do I know my position” posts. The euphoria and horror of new SKU launches.
When 30xx is over, and this thread is no longer extant, still we will think back to the days when an informational post by Jacob led to thousands of pages of joy and loss, heartache and laughs. An era of salt and honey. A time when getting flagged for spam was a red badge of courage.

They got their delivery on friday and were able to get some out before end of day. Jacob stated more to send out monday, so basically the rest of the shipment will be sent out then. As to when the next shipment occurs will depend on what the factory has set on making for their scheduled runs for production. My first guess is they might have enough of certain kinds of chips to rotate  a mix of particular models.

No more anxiously awaiting launches and drops. What a rollercoaster it's been over the last few months! Of course this means that instead of my buddy getting a 3070 Ti, he is NOW going to be able to have my non-LHR 3080 for $50 under MSRP. Needless to say he was excited I would be able to get him ANY Ampere card at all originally, but now he is absolutely ecstatic. When we talked to him, he was practically jumping up and down in joy! So after all this time, I am done looking for the next step to take and can enjoy my (scorching hot) gaming goodness in peace at last. If it's alright with you regulars, I'll probably still be around trying to answer questions, chat with you, and watch the queue progress.  But only if you want me to. Otherwise, I can just lurk  Sorry for the long off-topic post, everyone.. I have just been overjoyed all day and I knew you guys would be able to understand what a big deal this is. My wife thinks I'm just being a tad dramatic  Thanks to all of you guys (Enewt, nomoss, Dabadger, KTA, SQ, BYG, and others [TRULY sorry if I didn't list you here, these are just a few that come to mind quickly but I love ALL of you regulars - please don't hold it against me :/ ]) for keeping me sane the last few months and from being overwhelmed with disappointment. This community is incredible. Good luck to all on your GPU Journey and may the wait swiftly come to an end for us all.

so was this the trade up program to get a 3080ti from the 3070ti ? while im happy for you thats a bit disturbing that you were
able to bump out someone who was in line for the 3080ti long before you even got on the 3070ti list.that really sucks for those
who didnt get on the 3070ti list.im earlier on the 3070ti than the 3080ti so it appears i have an advantage over those on the 3080ti list
ahead of me ? hmm..doesnt seem right if this is the case.

Regarding the 3080 Ti, we might get a little straggler drop on Monday, but I think the late Friday afternoon drop was what JacobF was alluding to in his tweets.

enewt,

No doubt you know a lot more about this process than I do. But I respectfully suggest that your long experience with these slow moving ques has made you a little too pessimistic, understandably.

I do a lot of lurking and this is my guess. Late Friday EVGA got a large shipment of 3080 Ti's, 3967-KR's. I'm picturing a large pallet load!
It has been stated somewhere that EVGA does not send out Notify Que emails if they cannot have the shipment ready for the carrier pickup that day. I think that they stopped sending emails on Friday long before they exhausted the supply. I believe that the emails for 3967's will restart on Monday with a significant quantity available. Someone quoted Jacob as saying "more on Monday." I'm expecting that on Monday the 3967 que will get to around 8:00AM que time if not further.
I'm at

So you understand my motivation

I know, you and everybody will think I'm dreaming and too optimistic.
I think Nvidia has realized that this pent-up demand situation will make them a ton of money and decided to devote all their efforts to producing the chips for the 3080 Ti and the 3070 Ti to the exclusion of most other models.

I sincerely feel bad for all the people that have been waiting in a que since last year. I entered the older model ques just this past April and have given up on those when I realized how many are ahead of me.

What I don't understand is what may be happening with the 3070 Ti.

He never said he got it from the queue or the step up program. He might have gotten it from another retailer and traded plus cash to someone else. Im giving him the benefit of the doubt lol.

@Moonstonekai:  Depending on the SKUs that you auto notified for, it can be very long.  Check enewt's latest update for Friday: https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/3383342
