Stinger blocks have just been started. The faster I can bang those out, the faster I can start these.

I am slightly revoking my last post.. I am going to put myself back on the list for the Classified and the Micro. I really hope they get the BIOS worked out, as I am going to take the leap again and hope that Amazon can get the board to me.

For now, I am looking forward to seeing the blocks Nateman_doo makes. I really want Plexi if possible. If not, I am totally good with black, as it will fade right in.

I always go Acetal if I have a choice. Can be cleaned with isopropyl and less likely to crack if a barb is tightened too much. My CPU block is the EK Supremacy Gold and I ended up throwing away the acrylic top it came with (so you can see the gold) and putting a black acetal one on it for max practicality. (I bought gold in the first place because I want max corrosion resistance).

If I get the acetal, it mutes the entire color scheme I want, so I am going to stick with Plexi for this round.

Im going Acetal on mine to keep all the board blocks the same. Although doing some polished plexi tops would look cool also.

I was sad to not see any blocks available when the classy and a 5960x is due to show up Friday. This is precisely why I started bolting my boards flat to a old steel 1960's typing table in the open air. How much for the classy blocks? I may have to jump on the Natewagon.

Hey Nateman was wondering if I could be put down for a set of the micro blocks, Preferably acrylic or plexi for the VRM and acetal for the chipset if that's an option, got the supremacy with acrylic on the CPU so would like to match there but just EK acetal on the 980 SC, LAN rig (Corsair 350D) so you can't see the underside of the GPU (especially once the bank balance goes back up and I grab a second card for it) Really happy to see that someone out there is making blocks for the Evga boards, just switched over to Evga and was the only thing that I was hesitant about. Thanks Sully

I'm running two 780 hydro coppers, so I could be a lab rat with those. Hopefully it'll work, I've pulled the impossible before with the early EK full-board block on my E762 classy board.

Sorry for not visiting here in a while, been keeping busy with the Stinger blocks. Delrin/Acetal is always the best choice for tops. Acrylic cracks too easily.

No problem, I got the board running with my current blocks just playing with accessories, if Delrin is available in a clear option that would work for me, if not both acetal is also fine, thanks for all the hard work getting these things together

Delrin doesn't come in clear, only in 3 colors. Black, brown, and white.

The clear plastics are usually harder, so they have a tendency to crack. Plastics like Delrin has more of a tendency to bend, so it gives. So it doesnt crack. I never use Acrylic, I use Polycarbonates if I HAVE to make something clear. They are more expensive than delrin, but it doesn't machine as pretty as the others.

Agreed, I have 2 of his blocks, and even a little custom work, and zero complaints, his blocks are excellent, look good and easy to install. Can't go wrong with the BlockMan.

<3 me some Nateman_doo blocks, but as the blocks get EVGA attention and the boards bios and DIMM issues get ignored, I am returning one motherboard, then going to RMA and sell the other. I hope to get me some Nateman_doo blockage for a board that lives up to the hype that is advertised.

Well I've examined the classified board with two 780 Classified HC's, and don't think that fitting placement will have clearance unless a 1/4" ID barb is used. From that side view, a Bitspower 3/8" ID compression fitting (set up against the first HC card the way it would be installed) extends to just short of the centerline of the next slot (where the fitting was tangential to the switch in the pic). If possible, please (and I mean pleeeeeaaaase lol) accomodate EVGA's 1 1/2 slot hydro madness

Thank you. Wish I could afford some pretty, new 980's or something similar. But I'll settle for the 3 760's. Got one new back in March, and the other two were bought used for about half price in the last couple months.

I anticipate a start date of about 2-3 weeks. I am really sorry these stinger blocks have been holding me up, they are incredibly complicated. Most of the parts are cut but I am designing as I prototype. Usually I have it all laid out before I even touch the machine. In order to speed things along to get these blocks done I went as fast as I could to get the stinger blocks done. Those blocks are super complicated, with 5 blocks mating together, as opposed to normally 2 block halves, and all of them have to be the proper height (taking into account thermal pad pressures & cpu contact) and all the holes have to align. Once I finish those, I still have to make tool plates and get the machine ready to cut blocks, so we are still a ways away until folks get these in their hands. This is kind of the nature of the beast when you are a one man show. The Engineering and design, the layout of the machining, toolpath programming, designing & fabricating a fixture plate, designing stock clamping, actual machining of the blocks, assembly, finishing, testing etc all done by me. Oh... and its all in my spare time as I have 2 jobs and a family. Quite the juggling act I am going through at the moment.
