Hmmm.  I guess it's up to you.  You could try EVGA tech support 1st if you wanted.  See what they say.  Or just return it to Newegg and see how it goes with a new board.

Is anybody using the EVGauge on the Dark?
I installed it today and it only shows the maximum clock, while Eleet-X is running in the background and increase and decrease the clocks, but this is not showing on the gauge?

Yes EV Gauge is activated in the bios.
When using Eleet-X OC Ratio Control, nothing changes on the gauge. 3.4 ist still 3.4 when using Eleet and clocking to 4.5. Only if I set this directly in the bios, it shows 4.5 - but no downclocking or movement at all.

PLZ help!

Thanks for trying. I will contact tech support first. And see what they have to say. But there is really not much more we can try here or they can try other than what we have.

Must be a bad board then. But you may have a last look at the LGA to examine it for bent pins... good luck anyway, mate.

GL and post back after you get your replacement board.  Will be curious to see how it turns out...

So its been a week sense I got the RMA Dark board up and running with all on board controller's working perfect I am still not trying to over clock for fear of breaking it. when I got the board back it had some screw damage at some of the stand off holes so I was sure I had another lemon but so far so good and no bonus stand offs.. I was running GPUZ and it starts both cards in PCIE 3.0 X16 but after a minute one of the cards down grades to X16 1.1  is that normal an just power management? their is a note in GPUZ to that affect but I would feel better if some one confirmed it

I would not trust what GPUZ tells you about X16 1.1, wait and it will jump back to x8 3.0 *x8 only because I have 3 cards installed. I see the same X16 1.1 on any computer that I have GPUZ installed on.

The x16 or x8 @ 1.1 is the idle state being shown.  As soon as the GPU has any type of load on it, it will go up to x16 or x8 @ 2.0 or 3.0, whatever it is you're running at.

Hi guys, i'm a new X79 Dark customer. Amazing motherboard but...... I'm looking for a bios option that is present also in low cost motherboard but seems that evga ignore it.
The option is: "power on after power failure".
Is possible that the option is missing ??

No, it is not listed in the Bios.
Myself I turn OFF that Feature.
I would rather see what caused the power failure before I power back up, like a water pump went out or the CPU pump failed like on the H100i and so on.

I agree.  On all my previous boards that had that option, I always made sure it would not start after a power failure on it's own.  I don't think I ever saw a enable/disable feature in the BIOS for the Dark board.

I had to look for my self and yes it does not have that option but in my personal experience the Dark board will not power up after power fail any way

I too would not want my system to restart on power failure just in case. For what I do can't think of a reason why I would want it to do that. In fact my APC unit powers off and I have to power it back on anyway but I think the battery may need to be replaced.

I totaly agree with you that is an option unuseless for 99% of users, but i need it and is crazy that a mobo that costs over 300€ hasn't this option and a mobo that costs 40€ has it !
