Can you list here PCI-E lanes assignment and which PLX chip is used?
Still looking for board that will offer dual x16 in slots 2 & 4 or 3 & 5...

And which exactly controllers will be use to handle USB3 and SATA3...

No PLX chip on this one.

USB 3.0 is handled by ASMedia, but no USB hubs this time, direct connect to controller.

SATA 6G is Marvell 88SE9230 which is their latest 4 port controller.

Let me find out on the slot assignments...

Looks like it will be 1st, 3rd and 5th 16 slots.  I am basing this off of this post http://forums.evga.com/fb.ashx?m=1833844

1 card = X16
2 cards = x16/x16
3 cards = x16/x16/x8

What if you have a PCIe x4 SSD card in addition to three graphics cards?

x16/x8/x8 which I assume would be preferred over x16/x16/x4.   Again I am going by this post http://forums.evga.com/fb.ashx?m=1833844

willdearborn's version looks very possible, but I don't like it....
 
x16 in first slot isn't best option to SLI with LC...
I would love to see x16 in slots 3 & 5.
It would be the only one X79 board on market which fits me...

Indeed, it appears that WD was talking about air cooling.
 
However, why do you believe that the first slot under the CPU is not optimal for (LC) Liquid cooling?

Jacob, I have a question regarding the PCIe slots. Is the configuration pictured below going to work on this board? 3 way SLI with a space in between each card? Thanks bud!

 
From looking at the image of the motherboard again, it looks like slot 2 and 4 are x8. Based on that, I feel fairly confident that slots 1, 3, and 6 are the x16/x16/x8 slots which will also give the extra space for each graphics card in a tri-SLI configuration.
 
So far, this new board appears to have some very nice improvements. I never did understand why the original EVGA x79 boards were limited to 32-lanes for graphics with one extra x4 slot in a place where it can not easily be used for graphics.
 
The Intel NICs and extra memory slots are nice improvements as well. Hopefully eliminating USB hubs will solve the USB 3.0 relates issues. USB hubs tend to be problematic. I hope that EVGA will give an upgrade or replacement path to the new board for those of us having troubles with existing EVGA x79 boards.

I like the logo as well. However, I do wish they would use quality poscaps like on the X79 Classified, unless for some reason those components were part of the problems.

No plastic heat sinks of course, that would not be very effective.

Also dual GB Intel NIC. Actually we only use Intel NIC on premium boards starting with Z77 Stinger.

Also above SLI config can work, but need to find a bridge.

BIOS is still in development, so it is still be worked on. Should resolve some of the issues related to OC quirks.

I believe EVGA said availability would be on or about the 2nd quarter 2013 but I could be mistaken.

Thanks Jacob. Luckily I have a super long SLI bridge to make the connection from the top card to the bottom one. Another member was nice enough to send me an extra he had, but they sure are hard to find. It would be nice for EVGA to include a hard 3 way SLI bridge for this configuration. I know they exist, as ASrock includes it with their X79 Champion board. I know quite a few people desire this setup for 3 way SLI, and I'm sure it would become popular once people knew about it. Maximum airflow for each card is really nice. Plus it gives you two extra slots with 3 way SLI.

Can you give us a estimated date this will be available to purchase? I am dying to upgrade my motherboard/CPU and just want to know how long I have to wait. Thanks.

Well EVGA will not release it until it's ready so we'll have to sit back and wait.  I would like one as well.

Thanks RJ! But hopefully it is before that. I don't think I can wait that long. If it is 2-5 months, I'll just have to sell whatever board I buy in the meantime when this comes out.
