It has expanded to motherboards now. I'll be damned if we see a shortage on PSU's

I just thought to buy i7-5960X for 400 euro and sell mine i7-5820K for 230-240 euro??? And OC 8 core to 4.2GHz. But I afraid at the moment he is not necessary and later maybe I find i7-6950X for similar price. He is better than i7-7820X and have Epoxy under IHS. On 4.3GHz is close to i9-7900X.

Ok, cool.
Let's settle with KPC, Kingpins Private Company. It is getting annoying how we wait for so long and get teased by benchmarks. I almost want to go to Asus at times just to get products in my hands ASAP.

How many revisions of a motherboard do you want? They can dump them fast and come out with many revisions, or they can take their time, find the perfect match, then release it. The first pictures of the Dark are different than the most recent. I am sure it isn’t instant when a change is made that suddenly a brand new motherboard is lying on the desk. It takes time, and Intel didn’t help by dropping the 14 to 18 core cpu news without notice.
So Asus dumps boards fast. Good for them. I use Asus, but I don’t see them revising their boards when they find an issue, they just rename them and release them under the next CPU release. Example RVE versus RvE 10th Anniversary.
If I was wasting money on the x299, I would wait to see what Vince and Tin are working up. They aren’t taking their time for the fun of it.

Thing is you are looking at a board for overclocking, thus the importance of vince and tin. So the X299 dark is what you are looking at.
Some people are waiting on a board to do a build so overclocking taking a backseat. The importance of vince is not as high in this case. They are looking at ftw.
Then there is the silence of EVGA. They could tell us a projected date or a status. EVGA is a company for overclocking, but they also need to make sales first and foremost. If people are leaving that is lost money for them. Other companies are making ecosystem traps so once they are in it is difficult for them to leave. There needs to be some official talking so people can make informed decisions.
We don't know if we are on a long-term ride like the EVGA keyboard.

I would love to see the x299 FTW news posted. Anything. The FTW and Classified boards should have been the quick release items, with the Dark being the board that is teased and perfected.
I am just curious if they have been waiting on the 7980xe to release so they can do proper bios and implement changes to the ftw and the Dark.
Either way, EVGA is making their choice and sticking with it. The Asus Apex board looks amazing.

It is available now. It wasn’t available 5 months ago when Intel announced that they were releasing it without notifying motherboard manufacturers. Again, Vince was probably waiting on it to make sure he gets the most out of the CPU.

Quandry: do I return the (unopened) x99 classified and go with x299 FTW... or stick with older platform ... Not such an easy decision I’m actually a little concerned with x299 chipset as I am not so much a gamer but use quite a bit of GPU computation. Very much need 100% linux (opensuse) support and vmware right out of the box - no questions asked. That may take a while for x299 This looks like a huge win for gaming though. Much higher ram speeds... Nice clean layout and vert mb power socket (no more right angle) 👍

The other thing to say is that you are venting to a volunteer that doesn’t work for EVGA. Moderators have nothing to do with your current issue. Treat forum members with respect. If you have a problem with evga, fire off your vulgar language and disrespect in a private email and leave the public out of it. When venting in public, abide by the rules.

Nah, you wrote “your” after quoting COOLGTX, which is a direct response to an individual. You also dropped the F bomb multiple times. Maybe you don’t understand that responding directly to someone is an implication. Maybe remove the quote and call out EVGA, rather than saying Your company. As for EVGA not providing info, I already sent my complaints up about their lack of info. It has been posted on the forums many times. It is a problem. But you dropping F Bombs and inadvertently pointing finger wont fix anything. Maybe you need to take the time to understand and then use the support function. Also, I am not offended. I was trying to help you understand. Maybe you need to mature a little more before responding again, because you are acting like a spoiled child when people are trying to help you. Here, in case you forgot: Iamrogueyou do not respect your customers, not at all...
