Thanks.  However, I'm now finding that I can only boot in AHCI mode.  With the SATA controller set to RAID mode in the BIOS my drives are detected but I can't select any as a boot device.  Also, the Intel RAID controller config screen which normally appears at boot up is no longer present.  Has something gone wrong in the flash process or is there an issue with this BIOS.  Thanks in advance.

Jacob, does 19 address the issue of putting (3) 690s and (1) Titan on the SR-X?

    Hello.
I updated the Bios from 16 to 19.
So far the system boots but....
Nvidia 680 GTX SLI came up and said configuration changed. Solved it.
After that i noticed that one of the onboard Asmedia USB3 controllers is gone. I now only have 2 controllers in device manager. Tried everything. Bios reset, enable/disable controllers in bios, nothing worked.

Can this be a PCI-e lane allocation problem?
    Ports from up to down.
    1: Nvidia 680 running in 16x gen3
    2: free/disabled
    3: Nvidia 680 running in 16x gen3
    4: free/disabled
    5: free
6: Creative Titanium HD running in 1x gen2
    7: Adaptec 71605Q 16 Port SAS running in 8x gen3

Before the update all devices worked properly.
    Any Idea

THANK YOU FOR THE ANSWER,YOUR IT'S GOOD CONFIGURATION , THIS IS MY CONFIGURATION, AND THE UPGRADE THAT I DID
I KNOW THAT IS NOT A STANDARD

    MY OLD SERVER CONFIG
    MB: ASUS M4A79-T DELUXE
    RAM: 4GB KINGSTON DDR2
    OS: OPENSOLARIS V2009 64B
UPTIME: 6 MOUNTH TO CLEAN POWDER WHITH AIR COMPRESSOR
    N° 3 HD RAIDZ2 500GB

    MY NEW SERVER CONFIG
    MB: EVGA SR-X
    RAM: 1866 D.C. DDR3 CORSAIR 32GB
BIOS TESTED: 09, 16 (MAX UPTIME 16 VERSION)

            O.S.                                               UPTIME
UBUNTU SERVER PRECISE 64B                   4 DAY AND MOBO DETACH mSAS HD
SABAYON SERVER X 64B                            4 DAY AND MOBO DETACH mSAS HD
FREEBSD     64B                                        4 DAY AND MOBO DETACH mSAS HD
OPENSOLARIS/SOLARIS DERIVATE            DOESN'T WORK (TOO MODERN TO HAVE)

AFTER HD DETACH SOMETIME NEED REBOOT FROM UPS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM

    HD: RAIDZ3 N° 10 CAVIARGREEN 3TB
    HD: RAIDZ2 N° 3 500GB
    ROOT HD KINGSTON SSD 64G

LINUX KERNEL'S GIVE ME SAS (ID:1D68-1D69) UNCORRECTABLE ERROR, FREEBSD DON'T VERIFIED (NOT MANY TIME).
I THINK THAT IT IS A BIOS PROBLEM AND I MAKE MY MODDED-BIOS VERSION BUT I HAVEN'T TESTED BECAUSE INVALIDATE WARRANTY... =(

I AM VERY HAPPY TO UPDATE FROM BIOS 16 TO BIOS 19 (V18 NOT TESTED) BUT AFTER THAT: mSAS NOTHING WORK, IN BIOS BOOT SCREEN I CAN'T SEE THE SAS RAID SCU OP.ROM AND THE mSAS HD DISAPPEARED FROM LIST
I AM SOO FRUSTATED, BUT I THINK THAT SR-X IS A GOOD PRODUCT FAST AND STABLE WHITH A LITTEL PROBLEM WITH mSAS!!!
I AM NOT ABLE TO TELL IF A PROBLEM ARE DESIGN OR BIOS

    NO OTHER ERROR REPORTED
    USB 3.0 NOT TESTED
PCI-EXPRESS NOT TESTED (ONLY STANDARD VGA NVIDIA WITH PASSIVE COOLING)

SORRY FOR THE ENGLISH BUT IT ISN'T MY FIRST LANGUAGE  =(
I HOPE TO HELP DEVELOPMENT FOR INCREASE mSAS STABILITY

    13/06/2013
NOW AFTER 6 MOUNTHS SR-X WORKS VERY WELL, STABILITY IS 24/7 PRODUCTION SERVER, THE PROBLEM WAS A SECTOR ADDITIONAL IN ONE HARD DISK, AND THE MOBO DON'T LIKE IT VERY WELL, AFTER A LOW LEVEL FORMAT SAS WORK WERY WELL

    VERY GOOD PRODUCT

epic fail on this BIOS update as far as I'm concerned...

019 BIOS failed to recognize the raid on the SAS port,

switched to the other SAS port, same problem

for that matter it didn't recognize any hard drives at all on the
SAS port, tried many different BIOS settings w/ tech support,
    to no avail

problem solved by reverting to BIOS 16...

I'll have to add my name to the list of people with issues with 019. Same thing, sas bios won't load and sas page in bios isn't detecting the drives. I'm going to have to revert my bios I guess and wait for 020 perhaps?

I too can report that SAS is not working on BIOS 19.  Is there an ETA when a newer BIOS will be available that addresses this issue.  I really don't like going backward in BIOS flashes.  Going from 14 to 19 I lost my RAID 0 array on the Intel controller.  Fortunately testdisk to the rescue and I was able to recover but I would like to have my 4 other storage drives available to me via the SAS controller.

    Hello JacobF,

Please fix the problem with the SAS controllers!
Also have the bios version 019 and with me no drives are detected (cable SFF8087 to 4x SATA).
I can not even go back to the 016 version now, otherwise my EVGA GTX Titan is no more picture.

    The next thing I noticed:

The GTX Titan has PCIe x16 Gen3
    The SR-X has PCIe x16 Gen3
My CPU (2x E5-2690) also support PCIe Gen3

    BUT

no matter what program I look everywhere is only PCIe Gen2! Why?

    I installed 4x Titan GTX.
I had to remove the 3ware raid-controler and use the built-in.
Now problems with my 4х OCZ Vector SSD 512gb in raid0. Periodically different SSD are disconnected :(  SMART doesn't show any problems with SSD. After system switching off disks are visible again. It occurs once per day. The last drivers from Intel are used. I try return on 16 bios, Titans don't work.

    What's going on?

The SAS port problem has been confirmed
for a while without any question.

When is a new bios going to be released
    without the aforementioned problems?

If you're not ever going to release it, then say so,
otherwise at least keep the faithful informed of
    what's going on....

They didn't even announce that the SRX was being discontinued, you really expect them to worry about BIOS problems ?

    Do not trust EVGA.

    Hello all!
I found out the reason of failures of my ssd in raid0. Can't use RSTe drivers version above 3.1
I think RSTe drivers 3.5 and above try to use TRIM for the RAID0 arrays and it causes errors. The SR-X motherboard has the old sata\sas oprom version - 3.0.0.1ххх. Please, EVGA, update oprom to version 3.5 or above!

Do you have an old simply pci-e video card ?  I think you can temporally use it for power on system, then check the bios version and flash latest 019.

Also you can try bios selector switch on the motherboard. Look for it in the right bottom corner of motherboard. Put it on the left position for use an earlier version of bios.
