Support of a SR-X is discontinued. Also new xeon's won't be supported. EVGA deceived us, again. I don't recommend anybody to buy EVGA production. Technical support of production simply is absent.

Sas is broken in version 019. I think the reason in curve hands of developers. Surprisingly. Passed a lot of time, but the problem isn't solved. It is EVGA shame.

Re:EVGA SR-X - BIOS 019 Released 2013/07/27 04:47:50 (permalink)
I got this from SupportTW, sadly im looking at a Supermicro board only 1 of there will support 4SLI cards but all E5 boards will support 2 cards in SLI, so since I only have 2 x gtx590 I should be happy

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting the ETi Customer Service Team.
My name is Tony Wang and I will be answering your question today.

Answer:

Dear Customer Thank you for your feedback, we will feedback the BIOS team, since it looks like BIOS issue.

Question:

Well the problem is so far, if running bios 016, the SAS ports work fine and I can use my HD’s fine, but my video cards seem a lot more unstable and they will not run in x16 gen3 only x16 gen2
But if I use bios 019, Video cards run in x16 gen3 with no problems, but I cannot use the SAS ports at all

So im kinda lost

How long does RD take to get an answer?

Yeah seems to have fixed the SAS problem
thou it did wipe the windows boot manager
and I'm unable to recover it
more data loss and more wasted time on a crap board.

Re:EVGA SR-X - BIOS 019 Released 2013/08/03 07:45:18 (permalink)
I guess I should have been aware that a company that puts the
CMOS battery behind a massive heatsink that can only be removed
by screws that are on back of the board, that such a company could
be irresponsible down the line with other issues.

Well thanks for proving my doubts, what a disappointing way to handle your customers...

USE THIS BIOS AT YOUR OWN RISK
It is my edition of SR-X 019 Bios.
For a start i just updated the Intel RST rom to v12.7.0.1936 and RSTe rom to v3.8.0.1009. All tested and works fine. Now my ssd's in RAID0 don't crash, and TRIM will work.
Further the CPU microcode and SCU (SAS)  rom will be updated.
