LED sync has mostly fixed rainbow colors not syncing properly but they bounce back and fourth. Ie clc is ahead then 1080ti then clc... Would rather them just stick together at the same color always.

Also as another note how does the chassis control work? Will it recognize an rgb hub say connected to the usb header?

I'm curious with EVGA Precision XOC Scanner, anyone tried auto OC with it?

great up date, my 2 FTW3s are synced up and working but the program still interferes with Corsair Link and my H115i. I had to close XOC and restart Link to get control of the pump LED back.

Re: EVGA Precision XOC 6.2.2 - Now with LED Sync 2017/11/09 14:22:29 (permalink)
I'd like to disable LED SYNC from windows startup but I see no option and it's not listed under the task manager startup tab. How can I disable LED SYNC? I have a closed case (no window) so I'm not interested in this feature and would like to not have it run at all.

And also I'm unable to turn off "Share". When I click it, it used to click off. But now it does not.

Thanks!

EVGA_JacobF
6.2.3 was released with a few bug fixes.

Thanks, will play with it tomorrow, keep it up with the patches!

Update: here is some feedback for Precision XOC 6.2.3:

Fixed bugs:
  • As other people mentioned, LED Sync does not save the settings when closed, it also overrules the EVGA Logo LED settings inside Precision XOC Appearance LED menu (type and colour), however backplate setting remains untouched.
    • LED settings overruling is likely expected behaviour as LED Sync controls the same settings.

New Bugs:
  • Minimizing LED Sync shows a small Windows Classic-themed window bar, if this bar is moved by the cursor and released, and it is attempted to re-open LED Sync, the window loses some of it's GUI elements and nothing inside can be clicked on. (neither it will close unless using taskmanager or disabling it inside Precision XOC)
  • Launching Precision XOC while LED Sync is in the taskbar re-opens the LED Sync menu.
    • Pressing X then also causes the same problem as in the first bug mentioned above. (also happens after windows start-up with LED Sync automatically starting)
  • Pressing X in LED Sync now minimizes the menu to taskbar instead of closing it, this would be expected for the ' ' button.
  • The windows start-up task for LED Sync is not removed when the LED Sync window is closed via 'Close' in the right click context menu in taskbar, Precision XOC LED Sync button stays lit, start-up task will be removed after clicking LED Sync button in Precision XOC again.

Not yet fixed:
  • Changing screenshot saving location tends to be problematic, causing first screenshot save to fail and no longer work after. (more info: https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2713037)
  • Disabling OSD in games can cause some games to crash. (more info: https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2713037)
  • PNG screenshot capture with Precision XOC shows image corruptions. (more info: https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2705146)
  • Precision XOC crash when closing hardware monitor after fan speeds are changed.
  • Breathing mode for backplate LED 1080Ti FTW3.
  • Pressing F1 on LED Sync window pops-up an error and launches Windows Help.

Unclear:
  • As other people mentioned, LED Sync also stops any animations when closed. (breathing/pulse/rainbow)
    • In my opinion this is expected behaviour if it's meant to close to the taskbar and is required to remain active as a process in order to control the LED's.
    • However a GPU can save it's LED settings onboard to keep it going, I don't know if the same is possible for LED Sync.

Feature request:
  • The ability to launch LED Sync independently from Precision XOC at system start-up. (should be possible since it runs as a standalone process)
Silly me, this is actually already present, I just checked the scheduled tasks.

I also just noticed at boot up the LED sync window doesn't minimize to the system tray and stays open on the taskbar. Restarting the program fixes this.

Using led sync works for my both h100i v2 and my 1080ti ftw3 but when running led sync, it seems to interfere with the monitoring for my h100i v2, it seems to freeze until i close out of led sync on the precision app. Which at that point it immediately reports the pump speed and temps again

Is it possible to get rid of the LED Sync app? It pops up every time I reboot, and I have no desire to use it. Sure, manually closing it every reboot isn't too difficult, but should I really have to do that?

I asked the same question awhile ago and got no response. They're not very helpful here.

But I did find it within the task scheduler and disabled it there. It no longer starts up with windows.

The issue is the task for start-up is not removed if you close the LED Sync window via the taskbar systray, you've got to make sure the button inside Precision XOC is no longer 'lit', so you have to click on that another time to make sure the task is removed from start-up.
Any time you click the button again and it lits up, the task will once again re-appear.

The LED SYNC button is always "lit". Same with the "Share". Clicking on the LED SYNC button does open and close the LED SYNC window but the button itself does not change appearance.

That is weird because it does for me:

Share is lit for me too, even though shadowplay Share is completely disabled in GFE.
It wasn't before when Geforce Experience wasn't installed, so it probably only detects GFE as being installed.

It may have something to do with Windows 10 Fall Creators Update which I installed shortly after the Precision update. I'll uninstall/reinstall Precision and see if that helps.

Alright good luck.
Maybe Precision XOC is for some reason unable to remove the task on Windows 10, but that's just a wild guess.
I don't know if the 'lit button' literally is linked to detecting a scheduled task.
I'm running Windows 7 and I see the task disappear when the button is no longer lit.

Led Sync on breathing style is not syncing properly. CLC breath faster than the 1080Ti.

Anyone else with the same issue?

Unfortunately I don't have a CLC to test it with, though I believe I noticed a slight difference in their livestream a while ago, although they were using rainbow mode:

LED Sync application is interfering with Flow Control for the CLC units.  If LED Sync is running, and it insists on running all the time, then the Flow Control SOftware can't access the CLC.

I was on 6.1.16 before. Now 6.2.3 with Led Sync disabled the settings tabs "Appearance LED" and "Thermal LED", leaving me without any control over the backplate and temperature LEDs of my 1080 Ti FTW3.

Thanks, EVGA :/
