A bit off topic here but related. Any chance this might be able to cooperate and sync with 3rd party rgb controls like asrock led rgb?

I too have issue with "EVGA LED Sync" splash screen showing up at every restart and remaining in the task bar and not minimizing to system tray. I also cannot close the app without going to task manger when I do all functions cease. When set to Rainbow only the front facing led's change color and the backplate is static. I prefer all static and can change that through Precision XOC why do I need "EVGA LED Sync"? and how do I get rid of it all together?

Still, as a moderator here you should not be recommending people to disable their security or go on without any security at all like this. Not everyone who does this will be safe just because you assume you are. Many people here don't have the best internet browsing hygiene and even when they do, it's possible to become a target without UAC (tenfold without antivirus). There are kids here who aren't as aware of the risks, and even adults who may own EVGA products but don't know much else about safety. I was a kid when I joined this forum a long time ago and would ignorantly do anything a moderator recommended regarding my computer. Preach to people about best practice for their own safety, not to take the same risks you do. I for one can survive just fine without AV or UAC, but I cannot morally feel okay telling others to do the same in a public fashion like this. As you are a long time moderator and member here, I expect more from you. Not trying to offend you and I'm sorry if I do, just trying to make sure the right thing is done moving forward And just for the record, UAC on default sensitivity doesn't prompt me for ANY other program thats installed into my computer at all, ever. owcraftsman I too have issue with "EVGA LED Sync" splash screen showing up at every restart and remaining in the task bar and not minimizing to system tray. Fully agree, I have had way too many issues with this program locking up my system. Something is going on there that's not as simple as LED control. It prevented my computer from shutting down at all, fresh install of Windows would lock at the "shutting down" screen until I removed XOC completely and everything returned to normal. Not the app I was expecting from EVGA disappointedly

You were complaining about uac notifications when the software started. Disabling uac is a perfectly acceptable solution to the issue. Guess you didn't like that solution. No problem... do this... https://lifehacker.com/how-to-eliminate-uac-prompts-for-specific-applications-493128966

No, that's not a "perfectly acceptable solution" and I've already explained to you why. UAC is not the problem, I do not have UAC notifications for any other programs installed in my system. I have other RGB components with RGB controlling software as well, and none of them prompt UAC notifications every time Windows starts. The problem is not UAC, it's the LEDSync app which many are reporting issues with. Are you not going to take that into consideration? I have already lost 3 hours doing everything I could to turn off the UAC notification while starting LEDSync, including messing with task scheduler as you linked, bat files, startup items, and registry edits. Once I solved the issue, LEDSync still refused to allow the computer to shut down, so I can't say this has been a simple problem.

I would've thought the led sync not being compatible with flow control would've been an easy thing to notice in testing. i still get device not found errors when going on flow control and the aio not responding to led sync commands afterward. I've uninstalled both flow control and precision and I'm redownloading precision. if it works ill keep flow control installed until it gets patched. if i doesnt work I'll consider an RMA. if it doesn't work as advertised then I cant be buying from liars

For me LED Sync keeps restarting itself no matter what I do to disable it. Click the button off in XOC, and it pops back on in about 20 seconds. The other issue I have is that I used the Follow Audio feature in the NVIDIA app and it worked fine. LED Sync just overrides that completely and changes all of my settings on every single restart. In my opinion this is a pretty poor implementation of a feature that should be off by default. Downgrading to 6.1.16 until future updates hopefully remove the bugginess of this feature. The other side of this is that I will have to think twice about purchasing another EVGA card in the future.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: EVGA make excellent hardware. I love it! The weak point of EVGA is the software. It's not terrible, but it's not good either. I hope someday PXOC will be fully intuitive and not contain various bugs. Probably that would also make more people trust EVGA, not sure, but I guess if someone used XOC on a different brand card they would get a meh impression of EVGA, well, some people at least. Excellent hardware: Tick, yes Excellent customer support: Tick, yes Excellent sofware: No tick, No (not yet!) That's just my opinion.

Aye to that. Perhaps if EVGA would setup a customer bug report system? That would lessen the reports made in these forums and make a better service on the software part of EVGA. - Led Sync v1.04 minimizing issue(s).

XOC LED Sync causes no end of issues with Corsair Link. I'm very active on the Corsair forum and this has quickly become the top issue that we've seen over there. Do not enable this if you have Corsair Link devices in your system and want to have any control over them with Corsair Link. While both EVGA and Corsair use the same Asetek-designed pumps for the AIOs, the vendor IDs and the product IDs are different. There is no way that this is a "mistake". It is in extremely poor form for EVGA to hijack another vendor's devices. While I understand (and agree with) the desire to have one application control and synchronize all of the various and assorted RGB devices that we have in our systems these days, this won't happen until the industry gets together to make sure that there is compatibility and interoperability. And right now, that doesn't look like it's happening. EVGA, Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, Corsair, NZXT, and Razer (at least) all have their own RGB ecosystem and none of them play nice together.

After reading this and other threads I'm wondering if I'm directing to a severe meltdown of my rig just trying to have the CLC cooler and an EVGA card with Precision. Like EVGA hardware but... with all the problems I've had with Precision on the past... starting to wonder how/why the devs still have a payroll shipping a software that isn't stable, hijacks third party devices, work strange and/or hangs leaving temp and/or fan control unsupervised risking to jeopardise CPU's, GPU's, VRM's et al. Up to now (at least for me) all have been small issues rather than underlying software problems that could put into risk my hardware. Rather than trying to make several apps (Precision, Flow and LED control) to work (and interact) finely instead of being lousy neighbors why not make just one that works for all products?
You wimp! Real men have 10 Delta fans to drown out any irritating noise coming from speakers, headphones or wives .

I did a new Z370 build and CLC cooler and an EVGA card with Precision actually worked well together (tell the next Windows 10 update). BUT I had to rename LED.exe to neverrunLED.exe to keep if OFF I may have clicked it on as I still have to open Precision after EACH boot to get the G19 Keyboard LCD display fonts to display in large font. When you have to FORCE software to read it's own pref file you know something is not right.

I just tested here with a 1080 Ti FTW3, and here's what you have to do:
Open PXOC. Open the LED Sync. Close the LED Sync first by clicking X, then right click and close it in the system tray (task manager is not needed). Open the Option tab in PXOC, and you'll see the options for Appearance and Thermal available now. Make your changes for your backplate and thermal sensors. Close the option tab and open the LED Sync. Setup your Sync, and the backplate and GPM should remain the same as what you set in Step 5 (unless you pick Follow Badge Color...for obvious reasons). This fixed it. I found this on the forums. Thanks Google! :P
Thanks for posting this! I was finally able to get my LED's to sync using these steps. I have another issue that I've managed to find a workaround for...when I set all the devices to my orange color of choice (255,50,0), the side of my 1080ti FTW3 is appearing as red. I thought that maybe meant that the green LED was out, but when I switched it to pure green to test, it appeared fine. I managed to try a few values to find something that matched. So now I'm running (255,50,0) in everything except the side of the GPU which is (255,125,0) and they appear the same.

PXOC has not been updated for a while. Now, I think this is possibly a very good sign. Either quietly dropping the software, or working on a big proper overhaul. PXOC has never worked properly. Granted for some it does, for me certain functions work well, others don't. The thing that stands out is EVGA's great hardware and great world leading customer service is contradicted by very poor software. I can't understand the thinking behind this. Either drop PXOC totally, or ideal would be a complete rework from the basics and put out a program that's intuitive and works properly. (Like after burner) - but, of course due to EVGAs excellent cooling and heat monitoring solutions there is no software that properly can be used to tweak EVGA GPUs properly. This includes PXOC. Hopefully this will change. EVGA would be unbeatable if all bases were covered. Most are, but software lets down to various degrees the whole EVGA brand - my favourite bar the software.

I also cannot close the app without going to task manger when I do all functions cease. When set to Rainbow only the front facing led's change color and the backplate is static. I prefer all static and can change that through Precision XOC why do I need "EVGA LED Sync"? and how do I get rid of it all together?
Well I've been on 6.1.15 for many months. I kept it as it works for basic functions. I thought surely this software is sorted now, so installed 6.2.3 EXACTLY the same as quoted post and others. I took a while unistalling it, registry the lot. Then put 6.1.5 back. Everything back to normal. I have a basicly functional version. (I heard 6.1.16 works too.). This software is a disgrace to EVGA. It's clear after such a long time making a decent program such as this is not within the realm of possibility for EVGA. Stick to the great hardware. The good customer service, and stop drop this incredible poor software. I really believe that if someone with any card except EVGA who is planning to upgrade would consider EVGA. I would, hardware is the best. But if that same person used PXOC he/she would probably avoid EVGA like the plague. I wonder how many potential customers have gone with rival products due to this junk. Just scrap it already!

PrecisionX ver. 6.2.3, EVGA 1080 Ti FTW3 LED sync override AIO settings (Corsair H115i) including its LED behaviour and fan curve.

DevBiker XOC LED Sync causes no end of issues with Corsair Link.
I'm running my Corsair K70, Corsair Headphone Stand, NZXT Kraken and the GSkill TridentZ in Blue color, each running their own software not sync. I used to love EVGA's Precision, but it always gave me issues after the 4.2v! - I was forced to go with using Afterburner which runs solid to this day without any issue whatsoever. Now my question is Do I need this (XOC LED Sync) to have my 1080Ti Hybrid FTW3 LED's fixed in Blue color??...

I'm afraid yes, you need to use EVGA PreicionX in order to customize your GPU's LED.
