I hope setting up profiles is easier as they progress. I can't seem to get them to save or load. Overclocking seems to be working fine, just can't establish profiles.

Make your changes, click the "Apply button", Select a Profile #, click "Save button" By default - whichever Profile # is highlighted that is the spot it will save to. (0 - 9) To make it launch on Reboot, with previously saved settings You need to select two different setting (and save) there are a couple of items to check mark to make it work You need to select - Both of these: 1) "Start on with OS" 2) "Apply previous settings on load" WARNING: when trying to Find your best OC, Do Not select the "apply previous settings on load" --> if its an unstable setting you do not want these to load and crash your Rig on restart ---- right then click: Apply & then Save (these are needed to save changes to a profile, cant remember if its need to save the auto start, have not changed mine in months)

Thank you! This is my issue. I couldn't seem to get the OC to load. Good call on the 'check for stability before using'

Thanks for the breakdown cool.
Now my question has always been, how do we use SCAN and what do we do with the score we get? Is that an indication of a stable OC we can use or does it automatically set it at that for us and all we do is save it as a profile?

I have a 2080 black, and after I installed the precision x1 the LED is no longer lit. It won't come back on when I changed the color and now after an uninstall and reinstall I cannot even change the color for the static on mode

would be nice if they could add the feature to set your (voltage) in the voltage frequency curve editor, like in afterburner, cant get OSD to work every time ether with px1, it's hit and miss ,sometimes it shows up and sometimes it doesn't, as far as seting the (voltage), to get a better over clock, there's really no big difference anyways would just be nice to have the option, i get 2100mhz that drops to 2070mgz when gaming with px1 overclock, and if i set my (voltage) in the voltage frequency curve editor with afterburner to 1.093v i can get 2130mhz that drops to 2115mgz when gaming, so like I said there's really no big difference anyways would just be nice to have the option,

I just installed my new EVGA 2080ti FTW 3.... 8 gig version. The latest X1 software seems to be working fine for me. Auto fan works great. Reboot, and the software starts up minimized. And LED stays the color I set it to. All my settings are kept after Apply and Save. I did have to upgrade to Win 10 1809 though to get DXR working in BF V. And as well to get the Fan Speed sliders on the right hand side of app to show the fan speed percentages. All good.

Where did you get your EVGA 2080ti FTW 3 8 gig version Graphics Card? I would like to get one as well for what I use GPU for and save some money as well. Never mind I see must have gotten the Non-Ti Card.

Buggy and unreliable on the 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra Hybrid. Automatic Fan control for the radiator fan is entirely unstable, with little connection between the stated speed (%) and the fan RPM -- the RPM is all over the map, either lagging or just failing to hold a speed. When it finally gets close to the requested RPM speed, it hunts --- ramping up and down constantly and super annoyingly, regardless of how flat the fan curve is set (even a single setpoint with a completely flat graph will result in hunting), leading to an overheating card within minutes, every time. The only way to make it function as expected is to set the fans manually, which is obviously a huge PITA when you have to set gaming speed and idle speed every single time you launch or exit a game. I'm looking for an alternative to this software. I am super not impressed with my first EVGA software experience.

I`m sorry. Have to make a correction. My card is the EVGA RTX 2080 FTW 3 Ultra. My bad. I always thought the only cards with the iCX/iCX 2 cooling were/are the ti versions. And marked with the FTW 3. My ops. ;p The latest X1 Precisions working fine for me so far.

well so it turns out there is a way to set my (voltage) in the frequency curve editor on px1 to 1.093v, i tried it and it worked great, so i don't need to use afterburner to do that now, was just checking out some YouTube videos and ran across a how to set (voltage) in px1 video, still can't get OSD to work most of the time but i gess thats ok, ///////////////////// https://youtu.be/iVn-ZYs4cKY

I produce software for a living, and I am astonished at how terrible Precision X1 is. EVGA: 1) Hire an excellent product manager 2) Empower them so that features that do not meet their acceptance criteria do not get released 3) Hire more QA, and make sure they have the resources they need to do their job

When 0.3.7 stopped opening for me I had to fully reinstall Windows. Check event viewer see what kind of error you're getting when trying to open it

So looks like I was able to get it to work after I removed the software and uninstalled the GPU drivers. I then reinstalled both and everything is working. The only minor issue I have now is the card seems a tad noisy. Is that normal for hybrid units to have a humming noise?

Not sure if it's the pump or coil whine from the GPU. A short video of it can surely help us if possible from your end.

Way over due, this software is terrible. Any ideas why it would load 123% power after every boot? Saved to 124% but no matter the saves, it reboots with 123% still.

yep same here,123% power after every boot, want to see something crazy type 130% in the box that shows 123%, then hit load and run a run benchmark, and watch it pull 130%, crazy

I tried leaving the power and temperature sliders linked in the power menu and setting power to 100% with the aggressive fan curves on my 2080Ti FTW3 being the only safeguard to prevent overheating. That will save and load properly on a system restart. Breaking the link and trying to have PX1 prevent overheating just doesn’t work. It always reverts to stock settings if the link is broken and won’t remember the setting between restarts.
0.3.11 beta will not complete a clock/voltage scan on my system. It just locks up taking Windows 10 with it and requires a hardware reset to recover. This used to work in an older version.
No updates in quite some time when the software is still so buggy? No EVGA responses in here for some time either. Can someone give us an update on what you are working on and when we can get an update that fixes at least some of these issues?
Or, is my FTW3 defective that it cannot complete a scan? It seems to work fine otherwise but it was marketed and sold as having capabilities beyond the stock clocks and these capabilities are not accessible to me either because the software is buggy/incomplete or because my hardware is bad.
Do I need to do an RMA and PX1 is known good on scanning, or is this an unresolved software issue?

Can you complete a scan with msi afterburner, or does it also lock up?

+1 Also, that update schedule and frequency is horrible. Can't use PX1 with my 1080ti becuase it is full of bugs and lacks most features. Precision XOC hasn't been updated in so long. That is also full of bugs and needs performance optimization.
