A little bird said something about Intel skipping PCIE 4 and going right for 2020-2021 PCIE 5. Silly rumors but still. You never know
Ah, much better. Thanks good sir. Makes you wonder why they just jumped past 4.0...
The link is still broken.

I think they fast tracked PCIE 5 on account of SkyNet ramping up its timetable for TOTAL world domination. Robots need the bandwidth for all that image processing based machine learning...

Zeddivile PCIE 4 is already outdated. EVGA needs to make PCIE 5 Cards please. https://www.extremetech.c...e-4-0-has-even-shipped "The PCIe 5 specification has been finalised in just 18 months, just two years after PCIe 4 itself was finalised. Compare that with the length of time since PCIe 3 was completed in 2010 and that’s an incredible ramp in speed. One of the most impressive things is that this technology is completely backwards compatible with existing versions of PCI Express. So any PCIe 4,3,2, or 1 device will still function in the same socket."
When you think about it the bandwidth will be needed from PCIe 5.0 mostly for marketing for 8K gaming to be shown at events like E3 and sooner or later home use. For an event like E3 two kingpin cards running a game at 8K is very impressive on large screen for a theater demonstration. As 4K adoption increase to really show the press on a large screen what it will look like will take more and more horsepower.

Good lord that Z390 Dark is massive. Does the flipped layout make it wider than a normal E-ATX board? Looks like it overhangs into the radiator cavity by a good 3/4", jeez louise!

Yeah, seems like mounting a radiator in that side mount isn’t even possible anymore. Me personally? I’m extremely tired of seeing the O-11 Dynamic. Sure it’s a decent case but it has some annoying quirks that just make it a no go for me. The XL stands to improve on those but meh. Just an entirely overdone case at this point.

Not necessarily the board is big, the O11 is damn packed inside. Imo calling it EATX compatible is a bit of an overstatement, yes it does fit but it clearly is an ATX case.

Bought a kingpin 2080ti and HC block. Great card. Problem though, the "EVGA GEFORCE RTX 2080TI" light is constantly blinking on the block. Starts after a few seconds after turning the computer on, when bios posts and forward. Have to say the AIO does a great job, but didn't have room for a 240mm spot for the rad. So just got the block for looks and easy swap in.

Same here, I wander what Firmware File we need to update to our Now Hydro Copper KPE Cards. I would rather have it Turned of or at least stop the Breathing Heartbeat as well.

Thx for the quick post and I'm glad it's normal so far as you have the same issue. That is the one thing that is getting me mad. Block install went pretty good just to get met with the light annoyance.

I just bought the case because off the cooling support for the size. The Dark does hang over but theres 50mm clearances from the back side of the opening to the right case cover. Theres still plenty of room for a radiator and stuff.

yeah no KPE card, just came for the EVGA struggles. I do have a dark, lianli 011 and a ftw3 2080ti though. and yeah the case is garbage for a dark build u can only use the top n bottom rad spaces. I suppose you can use the interior rad space for one of those ridiculously expensive bitspower resevoirs but I don't really like spending more on a part for a case than the case itself... especially when the case I am gonna say has terrible qc I can't even install my ftw3 card in it because the pcie bracket screws don't line up. I tried doing it loosening all the mobo screws to give gpu priority too, but I am 30% sure that it killed a gpu... That said my asus 1080ti has no problem fitting. and I have been through 3 RMAd ftw3 and none of them fit.... EVGA may have just screwed up the gpu dimensions but I mean I put that way low on the list of possibilities

The KPE 240mm AiO and Z390 Dark do fit in the O11 Dynamic, you have to push on the PSU cables a bit though. It's difficult to see but the cable grommets are actually a little bit under the mobo That said, it's definitely a case you want to build in once and keep your hands off of it.
I even managed to squeeze a push-pull on the 240mm AiO there, there is JUST enough space. The fan screws do scratch the back of the side panel but you can close it without that much force and it's not visible.

My question is, is the Z390 Dark wider than an EATX board that doesn't have the flipped layout with right-angle connectors?

Ok thanks for the reply. Good to know... may have to alter my next build, either diff mobo or diff case. I wonder if the O11 Dynamic XL will fix that, but I'm guessing no.

Way ta go zeddi, great score. My chiller arrived friday but seems to be defective like @bcavnaugh had. I'm not happy but just one of those things i guess. I was bored so took my hydro copper back off to make sure i was getting good thermal compound spread on mine all looks good to me.

Man, Zeddi... Awesome job. Your mad scientist lab in that pic...nice. Kinda feels like we are apart of these monster scores you getting, somehow. My machine has turned to s#$%. I down clocked and put in some Corsair Ram and just left it sitting since last week. Ran my first test last night. I think my IMC has turned on me. Last night I manually flashed the card for the first time to the latest firmware. My temps are high. I only ever saw a high of 50* after a long while of benching. I just ran one run and am seeing 55*. Usually 42-47* idling low 30's. Now I am idling at 36*, ambient is 67*. My memory temps are lower. Also, my clocks show 1350 and 7000 always after flashed.

The flow meter stays at zero no matter what pump speed i put it at. The pump changes speeds when i go to like speed 5 or 7 or 10 but the flow meter always says zero. I unhooked the out line and the pump seems to be pumping great but the flow meter always at zero. Also the compressor never seems to kick on, if i set the liquid temp at say 10c never hear the compressor at all and never cools down. If i set the temp sensor at Liq-Amb and put it at like -15c which would be -15c from room temperature never kicks on and cools that way either. When i pulled the fill plug out to fill it for the first time it had a bunch of pressure built up in it, i thought that was very strange.
Hummm, what are you using for coolant?

Sounds like a plug is stuck in there, but that wouldn't be right. Did you pull the fill plug after you tested to see if pressure built up, again?

Zeddivile @degenerate Thanks you! Having so much fun with this card. Superposition Single card #1 https://benchmark.unigine.com/results/rid_557d126f80024c14a919a83f61dfa8c1
Way ta go zeddi, great score. My chiller arrived friday but seems to be defective like @bcavnaugh had. I'm not happy but just one of those things i guess. I was bored so took my hydro copper back off to make sure i was getting good thermal compound spread on mine all looks good to me.
What do you mean defective? Can you give some detail to this?
I am using the koolance coolant that was recommended for it, even just tried the loop within the chiller itself and not going thru my loop in the computer and same results, zip, nadda, no cooling at all.
You might want to take both caps off and use a flashlight to look into the in and out ports. You're checking to see if your liquid is frozen solid. This will keep the chiller from working since you can't flow coolant through ice....
