I'm inclined to agree. If one waits to long and something is wrong, you can not return it for a full refund....

I should have taken a photo but I rinsed most of it out before I installed it and now that it is installed it is not possible to really capture what I was talking about.
 
Maybe someone else can verify for me by taking a damp cloth and simply running it over the black paint at the location that houses the inlets/outlets. Don't even need to scrub but just run it lightly over it and tell me if they also get a dark black streak?
 
By the way, the mechanism that holds the LCD onto the block was snapped at one connection point but I repaired it myself.

Also "dark black streak" I see on all of the HC inlets/outlets Top Base and was told it was an Oil of some type.
I just used a good cleaner with Q-Tips to clean all around the inlets/outlets base plate for lack of another term for it and Plugs.
But I have never seen any kind Gray of any type on any HC Block before.

If I could do it again I'd have saved the water I ran through the block to clean it and inspected it AFTER I had expelled it :-( Next time.

FYI issue resolved via a 10 minute phone call with EVGA support. Don't know why that wasn't my go to first step.

Yeah I always just tell people to call them! Quicker.

So I took my HC block out of the package this morning and took a look at it. Fortunately mine does not seem to have the damage others have found near the OLED mount, but I can clearly see why they had issues. There are 2 threaded holes directly into the acrylic VERY close to each other and from two different axis. The material left over is so thin it would not take much to stress fracture the two holes into one.

Secondly, my Copper block does exhibit the same poor machining marks (circular swirls) all over the surface and there seems to what I can only guess is oily fingerprints or spots all over not just the card but all the packaging. I will try to get some pics and share them once I have a moment and learn how to imbed pics. :) Overall, the block is very impressive. I don’t think it is $350USD impressive but value is perceived differently from one person to the next. If a 3rd party were to have a block available I would have gone that route. Let’s hope it performs decently.

My second one i ordered is showing delivery tomorrow as well so hopefully it will be ok, the 1st one with the damage has already been approved for rma replacement. this area where the break is occurring is very fragile, i could see this getting broken just from removing from and installing into the packaging.

It is not even Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) 4.0 not interested. Already outdated even as powerful as it is. EVGA needs to release PCIe 4.0 graphics cards please.
