most of us here use this as a specialized thread for reports on Hybrids/HC since there are so few of them so its easier to track then in the general one with its 1K pages lol

Page one starts with comments about the notification queue. Page 50 onwards talks about the notification queue. I haven't checked pages 2 through 49 or so, but I'm assuming that the majority of content is people discussing the notification queue. Maybe I'm wrong.

This is just one thread in the larger forum, though, not structurally a forum itself. I assume people having specific issues would open their own thread instead of piling into a thread seemingly focused on the notification queues.

I believe that's generally how internet forums work.

That's my bad, I honestly thought this thread was for discussing the hybrid in general and should've opened a seperate thread for troubleshooting.

This thread should be whatever it needs to be for the users of this forum who are interested in the hybrid cooled cards. Whether its tracking the notification queue or asking questions about the cards themselves, no one should feel that they can't talk about a 3080/90 hybrid card in a thread that is titled after those cards.

That's what leads to 74 page and evidently thousand page threads. People should be making new threads for new topics, not dumping everything imaginable into a single thread.

I would rather all info on Liquid cooled cards be here then in 20 different threads, since that would require so much more time and work to track down, if there is info that doesn't pertain to you then just skim over it, simple as that

Do we have any information on availability? I don't care if it's a KPE HC, or a FTW3. I just need a card at this point.

Exactly. I mean, even if you're still trying to get a card, you should be trying to get background info about the setup, use and troubleshoot on the cards, which would logically be in this thread, so you are ready when you get one.

Minor update:
Tested the card with the heatsink back on and temps were at 80c with memory junction and hot spot at 100-108c+. Sent it to computer shop for refund on it and the hybrid and while they could replicate the problem with air, water cooling magically, I don't know how, was operating within 50-60c they were claiming while testing. They didn't test the memory because they weren't aware of the ICX option in PX1 and not having the latest HWinfo update showing the mem temps.

Not the first time the shop somehow was able to run the card cooler on their (open) bench but also on my own computer when brought in before buying the hybrid.
I can confirm floor space, ambient temperatures, humidity, putting computer on table, removing dust filter from bottom, open/closed case, even buying more better fans and increasing airflow have done virtually nothing to influence the temps.

We both find this some of the strangest issue encountered in the 30 series. So the hybrid and card are on their way to Taiwan EVGA to look at.

Pretty crazy.  Probably an air flow problem.

Yeah. My only theory for airflow is the 011 Dynamic case blowing the bottom intake fans (Now Lian Li SL120s) up on the card's fans, the fans blowing upward onto the PCB gathering all the heat there with no real dispersion above the PCB/back-plate area due to no back exhaust fan option (though top exhaust fans are warm). I've seen vertical GPU mounts used primarily for aesthetics but is it possible for it to benefit from it temp wise so the back-plate area isn't dumped with all the heat, with the bottom intakes 'even out' the heat so to speak?

Got no clue otherwise.
Edit: Also applying to the hybrid, whether the bottom intake fans entrap the heat onto the PCB more than it would without them. I don't know.

do you have side intake fans? should push air across mobo/back of gpu due to positive pressure pushing air through back vents on the case

also that case is highly rated by Gamersnexus even without using liquid cooling, so I think issue would be in gpu/cooler itself, not the case

If you take the card back, I'd say to try push pull fans, like pair of A12's or the 2150 rpm Gentle typhoons plus the stockers.  Black gaffing tape to seal the fans to the rad.  That will do good job pulling air up off the back of the card.

if needed just point a free floating fan between cpu and gpu pointed right down on gpu to see what that does for your temps lol, use some twist ties or paper clips to hold it in place

My current card is slowly starting to fail on me, so i have no clue how long it has left.  I've been in queue since early december and no word yet.  I doubt they're going to bother with the price guarantee at this point.

I get the WHY but it's still just crazy how bad this has become for all of the reasons it's managed to get out of hand.  Going by the list provided above, i will likely not manage to get anything before this card fails.

My 1080Ti hydro copper gave out in August and I signed up September 24th for any/all 3080's... still no card.

If you're talking about a bare pump then they're all the same with the exception of which connectors they offer. Pick whichever model has the power/PWM/control options you want. I'd probably go with a vario or PWM controllable model though so I can dial the pump speed down to a good sweet-spot.

I'm looking at the primochill d5 pump just cause it's got sleeved cables lol, I'm thinking having one pump mounted on the back fan mount and one behind mobo tray for series having one push through gpu and two rads and one push through cpu vrm and one high restriction rad
Edit-in a Lian Li pc-o11d xl case
