What about the backplates? I ordered the blocks while they were still in stock but the backplates were sold out already at that point. Does the same apply for those as well?

Backplates are also in the process of being packed, but may cause a slight delay for orders.

Sounds good. I would rather wait a couple days and get both than have the blocks and no backplates.

@puft More blocks would have been a longer delay. We said it'd be this week several times, you guys would have been even madder if we made blocks through the weekend and launched it Monday. Seems to be a never ending problem :P

In the end I just hope you guys take great pride in the fact that you make a product that is so desirable that people actually get upset when they cannot get it.  sometimes it is like kids at xmas wanting their beenie babies.

whats the other side of the coin.  nobody wants your product.  ekwb has a problem that all companies wish they had.

I saw you suggest before that there was a LOT of demand, and that you sold a lot of the blocks already. I guess I might not get an answer to this question, but roughly how many of each of the blocks did you have prepared when you launched them on the website? I understand it's a tricky question, but I think having an answer might help people understand you didn't just prepare 10 and threw them up on the website ;)

Official word is that they don't know for sure, and that someone would have to try it to make sure.
Both of mine have backplates, so I'm hoping they'll be compatible with the waterblocks of course.
I placed my order pretty much as soon as the blocks went up on the website, and I did pay for 1-day shipping, so I'll be able to get back to you guys soon (hopefully during the weekend) on whether they fit or not.

I guess in this special case it's more about the lack of alternatives Most people participating in this thread would have bought almost any alternative that was available 1-2 months earlier.

Monopoly is great! (Hats off they don't milk us by putting them up a lot more expensive... at least 20-30% were possible without losing too many orders lol)

I by the way also decided to try making my own block next time. I at least got tools and instruments I can use for that. Of course I don't have the experience but I could have used my personal (probably ugly) block at least a month ago. Anyone else interested?!

I'm not mad at you EK. I just wanted to do some benching with quad SLI over the weekend. That unfortunately has to be pushed back till next weekend or the weekend after that.

I don't want to hassle you guys, but my order didn't get processed yet? I'm posting because it's 5pm over there now and iirc Derick said the people who ordered their blocks while they were in stock would get their orders processed today?

Oh no, I must have been one of the first to order, after my order was completed I checked back and everything was still in stock. I guess they're just running a bit behind in processing orders.

My invoice timestamp was 2:58:28, by the way :)
Yeah, they sold out really crazy fast, didn't they?
I guess a lot of people were waiting very eagerly to get this block...

I'm just 16 places behind you which I find a little questionable considering you bought them when they first become available, and I, 30 mins or more after they were sold out. Should be 4 per customer limit, but maybe some of those orders count for resellers!

Exactly 2 hours after you at 4:59pm their time, so it looks like I may have been about an hour behind the stock depletion.

I'm assuming some of those orders count for some resellers who ordered many.

Do all EK watercooling bridges work with EK GTX 980 Classifieds waterblocks?

For example:

Will this work with my Tri-SLI config?

http://www.ekwb.com/shop/blocks/vga-blocks/multiple-block-connectivity/fc-terminals/ek-fc-terminal-triple-serial-plexi.html
