I understand the "company" side of Elite membership, but from a consumer perspective the market is going to be flooded with cheaper items, like power supplies that the consumer bought only to get Elite membership. Raffle the first set off to winners guaranteed to be able to purchase the card. This isn't the way to make consumers satisfied, just additional aggravation.

But posting is free.. you don't have to buy a thing. You guys are really upset about this aren't you? Maybe they should have just not launched the elite​ membership and cards would be on backorder for months while scalpers buy them all up just to sell them on ebay for double.

How come it does not qualify for the Elite Membership?

Because it's not an SC or above. They have excluded Founders Edition and basic reference clocked cards. Essentially only SC, SSC, FTW and Classified cards count towards elite membership. These cards are the signature cards from EVGA.

Hmm, says I don't qualify. Kind of odd considering I just recently purchased and registered a 1070 FTW and then stepped up to a 1080ti FE. But even before that I had a 970 SSC that was registered also. What gives??

I believe its because of the step up
 

What about his 970 ssc?

The step up, isn't addressed in the Elite program requirements.

Despite its being a more expensive card than the standard 980ti is not on the list of qualifying cards.
The Front HDMI connector does not work (doesn't work in any of them apparently). 
Disappointing -

Surprised to see my 1070 stepped up to the 1080 wasn't on the list either. Both cards were not.

Are there any current benefits to becoming an Elite member other than the Elite FTW cards?  I guess Founders Edition cards do not qualify a user for membership?  The link says I do not qualify, but bought a 1070 SC, stepped up to a 1080, then ICX upgrade, then Stepped up to Founder's Edition 1080Ti.  Somehow something in there must qualify.

Too bad they don't recognize the GTX680 classified I bought 5 years ago. Good way too get people interested in being elite to contribute on the forums though.

That's exactly it.  It's just a different color shroud.
