Would be cool to see a blacked out or silver water block for those of us who don't want full RGB. I think a lot of us like EVGA because of black edition products and the 980/1080 Hydro Copper blocks that were blacked out! I myself still have a 980 Ti Hydro Copper and a 1080 Hydro Copper. I just got a Hydro Copper block for the RTX 2080 Super FTW3 and I don't mind the blue and silver. I just don't like the 3080 Hydro Copper with all the multi colors and the wavy design.

Ya I'd be fine with just a regular ol' black acetal EK block on it like I have on my 1080 Tis or on my Hydro Copper Titan X cards a few years ago. Nice and clean look.

I like how this gen HC block looks, I really want to find out if i will be able to buy a kit, or if i should be trying to sell my 3080 FTW3 and wait for an actual hydrocopper to release.

I have a feeling you'll be waiting well into next year for a HC kit. Although EVGA have confirmed that Hybrids and HC cards will supposedly start in mid-late November, they have only said the Hybrid kits will be available around the same time. Despite repeated requests about HC stand-alone blocks, they will not provide any indication if or when HC stand-alone locks will ever be available, so I imagine that means likely not for a long time, if ever. Based on that, I'd say you'd have to grab the fully assembled HC card, or buy a 3rd party block.

The typical is for them to provide the blocks a few month after the HC cards.  I'm guessing that this launch will work out largely the same.  I have a 3080FTW3 and as soon as the HC version of that card goes up, I am going to (try to) grab one.  If not, I guess I am going to EK.

This would be pretty nice. Of course, it would be nice to have a card in the first place.

I saw the Optimus GPU block alone weighs in at a hefty 5lbs - that's a lot of weight to put on the motherboard PCIe slot. EVGA provide a little bracket for some models, but I had a look around at options. Ended up ordering a support from Amazon. There's also a bracket that others might prefer.

Is there any info on how you plan to start selling these? Will there be a notice ahead of time for when we can join a cue for buying one?

I m surprised, Why Evga Team is not doing a pre-order on HC line, so they know how many they have to order from.
Just my thought...

Keep in mind when they come out you probably will save $40 just by putting in an associate code at checkout after it goes notify. If you get lucky and it's not instantly sold out though I would be hitting the checkout as quick as possible since it will sell out fast.

I also really like the promo picture Jacob posted since the purple and blue is colors people might really like to use.

Use an Associates Code & SAVE 5% - 10% on your purchase. Just click on the associates banner to save, or enter the associates code at checkout on your next purchase. If you choose to use my code I want to personally say "Thank You" for using it.

There won't be any "updates", the Mid-to-Late November thing is what it is, I asked Jacob about a week ago on Twitter & he confirmed that's still the timeline.

I'm watching the product pages like a hawk because I want a Hybrid 3080 FTW3 for sure.

I have my PC dismounted since 1th Sept, cause I sold my 2080 super. Waiting for 3080 watercooled or to "watercool", I'm looking forward!

Sooooo, you sold your 2080 Super without knowing when you would be able to get a 3080? Particularly a water cooled version that usually come out later?

The HC shown has a two slot expansion bracket.
There was also an image floating around showing it with a single slot bracket.

Can we have a confirmation if it will be a single or dual slot bracket?

I'm fully expecting the same kind of "launch" for the Hybrids/HC variants as the rest of the 3000 series has been but hoping the run lasts longer. I've only had experience with the 680 HC Launch as I'm still rocking them to this day () but even back when, they sold out in hours and only restocked for >1 Month and i never saw them restock (through eVGA at least) again. I'd imagine times have changed a little and the run will go for awhile

Live and learn. What I usually do is when I upgrade, I actually hold the old card(s) for about 2 weeks just to make sure there's no issues with the new card(s) and then once I feel like they seem solid, I then list the old ones on ebay.

Question on pricing (at least for those who know about previous gens).

Is there a price difference between FTW3+Standalone Kit vs Hydro Copper card from the get go?

I imagine that going FTW3 and then Stand-Alone Kit is probably a bit more expensive than going straight for the HC Card.

Was it a big difference in price?

Usually, it will cost more purchasing the GPU with the Hybrid/Hydro Copper installed because of the added labor presumably speaking.  It was always cheaper buying a GPU and kit separate.  It was usually around $100 or so difference.

I feel like a large part of the extra price is the peace of mind for the customer. You don't have to worry about having to reassemble the card if you need to RMA, or about the possibility of not putting the block on right and possibly damaging the GPU.

I should also note the cooler is included in the GPU's 3 year warranty or extended for that matter as opposed to the 1 year warranty the kits come with separately.
