slayertx Well, I'm Just ready to finish this Darth Vader build already! Have a 2070 holding the place of the 3090
What are you using the reservoir for there though? You have an aio as well for the CPU. Also, is that the regular O11 or the O11 XL? The way you've mounted the reservoir above the gpu seems to be the only way possible for a 3080 ftw ultra.

Johnny_Utah Just got my hands on a 3090 FTW3 Ultra today. Looks like I'll be waiting at least a month for a block--EVGA/EK/Alphacool etc. I don't see anything available.
How??? I wants!!! lol Johnny_Utah Edit: Just spoke with a rep from EK...blocks for FTW3 available late October, early November.
Yay!

Just got my 3080 FTW Ultra in and if you own a Lian Li 011 dynamic unless you mount it vertically I don't think you are going to be able to water cool this card. Just an FYI.

I would love to see more pictures for the HC besides the one already on the site. I think it would be nice if we can get a closer look.

My FTW3 Ultra has the power cords pressed against the glass of the PC-011, 2-3mm wider and the card wouldn't have fit. I plan on putting this on a block (when I can) but I know I'll need to go up to the XL version of the 011 to fit it.

Should be ok.. I believe the Lan Li 011 Dynamic is bigger than my Corsair 680X, and although the 680X is quite wide, it is very limited in depth (front to back). I have a 2080Ti FTW3 Ultra AiO in there now which is 290.83mm long and is mounted vertically using a riser cable. The EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra is 300mm long apparently. I just measured, and I currently have 52mm between the end of the 2080Ti and the front intake fans (it would only be about 40mm if mounted directly on the motherboard). I won't be able to fit a standard radiator in there, but a thin 30mm radiator like the Corsair XR5 will just fit with the 3090 at 300mm long, and allow ~10mm of wiggle room. I don't think even that would be doable without the vertical mount and riser cable. If the Hydro Copper is any longer than 310mm then I'm definitely out of luck. Compare the Lan Li to the 680X.

I emailed EVGA about stand alone HC blocks.. the reply was still not definitive: Hello, Unfortunately, we do not have an official release date or pricing on the RTX 30-series Hydro Copper waterblocks quite yet. We are continuing to work on production and are unable to provide further details until that product is released. I apologize for any inconvenience and please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions. Regards, EVGA

Is this a US only timeframe or will the EU also see them at this time? I don't want to wait 3 to 4 weeks only to be told that that timeframe was for the US and I wont see them in the EU till the new year. If this is the case I'll just try pick up a different card when they finally show up and stick an EK block on it.

Oh man I'm looking forward to these cards / cooling solutions. Sadly I'm running into the issue of not being able to get a card and the fact that the thinnest card I found was 2.2 slots where the NZXT H210i only has 2 slots with a very tiny bit of wiggle room below that before hitting metal :S Anyone know off hand if the previous mentioned specs of the rad being 240MM are still valid or did they go up to 280MM? Also any info on if the fans can be replaced easily or will it have built on fans with just enough wiggle room to change the fan orientation?

It's not the length thats the issue. It's the width. PC011 is limited in what GPUs it fits based on width without a vertical mount.

I have the 011 XL. The res is positioned for the GPU loop alone. I wanted the zkracken LCD for the CPU loop for the GIF ability. I have also added a stat mini display since I made that gif. I decided to setup a test loop to test all the parts until i get the GPU/block as nothing sucks worse than having parts and finding out months later you have a problem and can't return it. + there is actually a figurine I molded in the res and I wanted to make sure there was no degradation before the full loop is in effect.

I am using an O11D and can confirm this. It's just too thick. With the standard air cooler you have barely enough clearance to get the power cables in. No way it will accomodate ports of a waterblock.

Oops yeah that's my bad, too many tabs open at once :) -- You know how it goes, 3 billion tabs open 2 frozen and one playing music randomly lol Okay for this one that I was meaning to post last night... -- Sorry if these questions are super simple & I overlooked the answer in a previous page. :) It's my first dive into potentially doing a custom loop and I'm jumping head first into a mini itx build. Would the custom water block shrink the card down to a single slot or is it sitting at 1.2-2 slot? Will it ship with a replacement single slot bracket, or will one be available to order separately? -- I did see the reply about potential weight issues but bracing the back end of the card wouldn't be too much of an issue. Will it ship pre pasted & marked locations for the pads? Any word on dimensions of the cooler, specifically roughly where the fittings will be from the ends of the card? Now the ultimate crazy question about warranty... Seeing as it is a first party cooling solution replacement, if the card does randomly fail and need to go in for RMA "super rare but does happen" will I need to dust off the air cooler and re-assemble it since it wasn't a Hydro Copper SKU "I'm assuming this is the case" or could it be sent in as is and repaired/replaced with the proper card/cooler replacement?

godzzzillla Is it possible to know the dimensions of the HC for FTW3? I'm looking for cases to buy for this but its such a pain to get the right case. Most mid towers don't seem to have enough headroom for the ftw3 waterblock (based on pcb dimensions) if mounting the pump/res next to it.
I was thinking of this too, but I can't imagine it being longer than the standard ftw3 itself.

check the size of the PCB, thats usually how big the block will be plus the G1/4 ports on the side.

Yes... I have a PC011 Dynamic and an XL. The issue with the first one if your power cables are touching the glass already. When you put a block on your card it adds width. My Dynamic has a 1080 that came with a factory block. The only way I could mount it normally would be to leave the side panel off and have the block stick out of the case. So I purchased a vertical mount kit. In the Dynamic that takes away any possibility of using the bottom of the case. There just is not room for anything else down there. The XL on the other hand even with a vertical kit in it I can mount a radiator in the bottom. It would limit how thick the radiator could be but you can still have one. The other thing I like with the XL is since I can use the top and bottom regardless... I used one of those EK Quantum D5 FLT's. I might eventually go hardline and get a distro plate but I think that FLT looks really sharp in this case. Of course I'm waiting to see some options so I can add my FTW3 Ultra when I eventually get it.. to my loop.

I'm pretty sure any mods to the original card need to be removed and put back to original state for rma

Of course I'm waiting to see some options so I can add my FTW3 Ultra when I eventually get it.. to my loop.
you can still mount fans on the bottom of the case. see on page 2 or 3 of this thread, there is a picture of my setup with a 2080S FTW3

FYI, posted by Gutcheck in another thread: ..looks like the price for the EK blocks will be close to US$200. https://www.ekwb.com/news/ek-releases-another-vector-water-block-this-time-for-evga-xc3-rtx-3080-3090-gpus/EK Upcoming NVIDIA RTX 30 Series Water BlocksThere are probably a lot of questions about other RTX 30 Series water blocks as well – for the AIB cards and Founders Edition especially. EK water blocks for FTW3 Series graphics cards will follow in a matter of weeks, while the Founders Edition water blocks will take a bit longer since EK is preparing something really special for those graphics cards.
