Andrew_WOT It's like a conspiracy around radiator fan. How one can control it or at least see real time RPM. i'ts way too loud at idle, in fact. at least based on what I hear, I am inclined to say that it's just one constant speed. And please prove me I am wrong. What is a good replacement for stock fan again, shame that $900 product comes with cheap ass noisy fan ( or fan control for that matter)
From Noctua, you can check them here, for radiator you need static pressure fan : http://noctua.at/en/products/fanThe stock radiator fan is working always full speed :) Did you heard an air cooled ftw3 at 2200 RPM? That is loud ;)

Corsair Ml120 and Noctua NF-F12 Industrial would be a good replacement fan. Edit: My NF-F12 Industrial has a funny buzzing noise at 1000+ rpm but I've heard that it's normal and you shouldn't hear while gaming. They are meant to be a very good fan.

Graphite8five @glimerman Do your Industrial NF-F12 have RC car like buzzing at 1000+ rpm? I brought one recently (120mm) and was told they do sound industrial. I'm curious as to how the standard NF 12 120mm sound?
nope no buzz at all runs quiet as hell at 1800 rpm . but then again i have fans in my room and other noise , so if your house is perfectly quiet you may here it but its not bad at all ,video card fan is louder if that helps
I would describe the NF-F12 Industrial as having a buzzing noise compared to a loud air noise which is most common with fans. It took me by surprise when I got it but it was recommended and the noise it makes is supposed to be normal. I have mine bottom mounted to pump cold air up into the FTW3 fans/heatsink but it's debatable as to how much benefit a bottom mount fan is to the GPU.

I agree with Graphite, Noctua NF-F12 is a really good choice, you cant plug in to the gpu, you have to plug it to the moba or a fan controller to control the rpm, because its 4 pin.

I know in the past I thought I was 100% sure you could control the fan(s) on the radiator. It doesn't look like you can control them but the fan(s) does not run full speed all the time. I have all the same fans in my case. All are Cougar CFD120 which are rated at 1200 rpm. 5 are being controlled by the motherboard and 2 are being controlled by the gpu. The motherboard has 5 fans spinning at about 800 rpm at idle. The gpu doesn't register rpm from the fan(s) in Precision. As you can see in the video below the two bottom fans(push/pull) on the radiator are spinning slower than the two case fans above. I don't know any other way to prove it other what I see. https://youtu.be/VQFp1cwDkIQ

The Hybrid has 3 pin fan header. If you buy for example a 4 pin Noctua fan, you can plug that to your 4 pin header motherboard, and from there you can control the fans rpm, with the moba's sofware or other software. But iam sure (right now😅) that the stock radiator fan cant be controlled via Precission.

I've have just done some simple testing. Attached paper strip to PC exhaust. my rad fan is set to pull and bolted directly to the case. Run Valley benchmark, temp went from 43 to 53 (max, mighty impressive cooling performance), but paper strip angel didn't change a bit, same as before the test. If air flow is the same, that pretty much means rpm is the same. No change in produced fan sound either. I'll bump another thread dedicated to rad fan to discuss our options.

So would I need an adapter if I wanted to switch the stock fans to the NZXT Aer or Corsair HD? Or could I just plug them into the motherboard instead?

I'd use MB 4 pin header, this way you can get variable speed vs. constant out of GPU, for that you would need 4 to 3 pin adapter if you indeed want to go that route or get 3 pin version of Cooler Master Silencio

I got my 1080 TI FTW 3 Hybrid,top.
Positive:
- awesome looking card - feels like a quality card which is worth enough to spend 940 euro - temperature is good - good options over OC X - stable clock rate....
Negative:
- ....when you enable the second Bios for more power. With the first Bios I am hitting the limit very often and clock rate jumps around - the fan is super loud. I will buy a noctua fan now to change that
Question:
Can I put every 120mm noctua fan on the radiator? Can I increase the power/speed of the water pump to decrease the temperature? Or can I modify the fan on the card only?

Sure you can put a 120mm fan on the rad. If you buy a 3 pin fan you can directly plug to the gpu, but if you buy a 4 pin fan, you cant put dicetly on the gpu, you can put on the motherboard 4 pin header or a fun hub. Pump speed cant be controlled sadly, only the vrm fan can be controlled via Precision.

Yeah, honestly I did it with my two 980ti's almost 2yrs ago the first time. So I don't remember the exact temp difference, not huge, but enough for me to justify having a 2nd one. Mine are the Noctua NF-F12 PWM fans, they are 4pin. I use a NZXT Grid+ V2 to control the fans via a gpu temp curve. Though actually Grid+ is only 3pin, but 4 pins work on it but it's now PWM. I think I just got 4pin for mobo or future proofing reasons. The Noctua NF-P12 is the same fan but 3 pin http://noctua.at/en/products/fan/nf-p12

Can anyone tell me if the card will fit in the top intake mount in the S340 Elite? I have a Dark Rock 3 as my cpu cooler so mounting it as a front intake is a must. According to some owners from this board, the hose length on the 1080 ti Hybrid is 12" which is a few inches shorter than previous evga hybrids.

At NZXT's website it says sadly :( Radiator Support: Front 2 x 140 or 2 x 120mm Rear 1 x 120mm It doesnt mention the top place, i think to the top you can only put 120 mm fan.

My mistake. I meant to mount it as a front intake, top mount slot. Similar to what member "SH1988" has but up higher.

I have my Hybrid mounted as a lower front intake in a Phanteks Evolv ATX case. Evolv ATX Dimensions: W: 235 mm x H: 495 mm x D: 510 mm NZXT S430 Elite: W: 203mm x H: 474mm x D: 432mm The NZXT is shorter and not as deep as the Evolv, so I don't think it will be a problem reaching were you want it to go. And fyi, I just measured the hoses. From card exit to radiator attachment it is closer to 13" in length.
