My card arriwed yesterday, and iam in love with. I even cant hear pump noise, of course if you put your ear next to the radiator you csn hear it, but in normal distance its absolutley okay! this is my opinion but the factory radiator's fan is acceptable, i think its not loud.

Same here. If I put my ear next to it I hear the pump. From normal seating distance, I can't hear it. With regards to overclocking, I was able to get +105 on the gpu and +700 on the memory but that was the absolute limit and borderline unstable. So I backed it down to +100 and +500.

The card should be coming in the mail today:) One quick question. Do I have use EVGA Precision X Software with the hybrid gpu? I currently have MSI Afterburner and RTSS installed with my previous Strix 1080 TI card. If not, what I am I losing configuration wise but not using Precision X with the card.

No, you don't. You'll lose the ability to change the led colors & monitor the 9 additional sensors. I think you'll also lose the ability to control the fan on the card itself as it's linked to the power fan which can only be controlled by xoc.

I don't care too much about the icx sensors and the led colors. If I use AB & RTSS, will the fan on the card run in auto speed? If so, do most users use auto speed or do they setup custom fan curves with the installed fan.

Ok. Do you guys prefer Afterburner or Precision X with this card? I just want to take a poll before I go through the trouble of uninstalling AB & RTSS. Thanks.

Please review response from Sajin. What else do you need to know? Functionality wise Precision is better suited for EVGA cards, I am pretty sure you can change skin on Precision to make it more Afterburner like, or just get used to round face dial EVGA is using, after a while it feels natural.

Is this graphics card exclusive to the EVGA webshop? I can't find it for sale anywhere else. It's just that it would be very expensive returning it if necessary

If i know right , no you can't step-up. But you can check it after logging and select step-up.

What kind of clocks are you guys getting with your FTW3 Hybrids. I am thinking about upgrading from my regular FTW3. The highest I can run stable in benchmarks is 2025-2038. That is my only "complaint" with the card. I can run my 7820x at 5.1GHz, if my GPU overclocked as well it would make for some nasty benchmark scores... https://www.3dmark.com/fs/13375181

Sadly silicon lottery has big role about this. If you order one maybe you get a very good stable oc card, or you will get a bit worse. After 3 days of usege i love this card, i can put now + 80 on gpu clock and + 400 on memory yet, will be testing more later. The temeperature dont go above 51 C which is great. My case finally dont blow out hot air out , with my precious gpu it did, and my cpu is much moore cooler to.

I have had my FTW3 Hybrid for about a week now and without a doubt I am loving it. It is the centerpiece of my rig which is admittedly, largely made up of eVGA components. :-) I didn't score too high in the silicon lottery, have settled on a 75 Mhz Core/300 Mhz mem overclock so far, but it's rock solid and cool running so I'm satisfied. I have a feeling the mem would go much higher, but not sure the returns would make it worthwhile. My only complaint is the included fan and how, as others have noted, it is unmanaged by Precision. The fact that it is a 2 pin connection certainly indicates that there is no RPM monitoring going on, so pretty basic to say the least. It is surprising that they wouldn't at least have true RPM monitoring in the fan (much less using now standard 4 pin PWM fan speed management tech), especially considering the price point. I ended up pulling the stock fan and replaced with two Noctua Industrial NF-F12's (2k RPM versions) in push/pull config with a thermistor attached to the backplate to allow the fans to ramp up as temps rise. It is working well, but would really prefer to let Precision (which I'm a big fan of) do the job. I'll take a few pics of the rig and post this evening. This Ryzen build has been an absolutely blast, has just felt like something special since I started picking out parts. It is my first step back into the AMD world in over 10 years. If eVGA ever builds an AM4 motherboard, I would swap my Asus Strix X370 out without a second thought!

Good idea with thermistors, not sure how accurate the backplate temperature will be in relation to GPU temp. How did you attach it to back plate, btw? There is a good instruction in stickies on using nsm service to control PWM fan based on GPU temp https://forums.evga.com/Tutorial-Hybrid-Cooler-Radiator-custom-fan-curve-with-0-RPM-mode-m2678869.aspxLooks like quite a hassle to setup to me. I'll probably just make a curve based on CPU temp, it usually goes up during benches and gaming, so indirectly represents load on GPU as well.

Your absolutely right, definitely not accurate, but the variance was enough to set a fan curve in the Asus software to ramp the fans. Pretty low tech on attaching it, just a piece of black tape at the moment for 'proof of concept'. The biggest problem is that the temp doesn't vary quite as much just taped down. When I hold it with a little force, the temps react quite quickly, just need some kind of thermal adhesive that I can put over it that will not leave a big gob of goo on the backplate! I was really hoping the slits in the backplate would be wide enough to slip it under and touch the board, but the thermister I have is not one of the thin film type but instead more of a very small capacitor looking component. Thanks for sharing the link on using speedfan and setting up as a service; definitely a few steps involved, but that would probably be a more accurate solution... will check that out. Might be a good way to completely eliminate the Asus software too which would be nice.

For involving NSM setup at least step by step is well documented, I should probably give a try. Will be the cleanest and most accurate solution in the end. While EVGA cheaped out on radiator fan control is beyond me.

Hey Adamlink, got your PM but new here so not able to reply yet (forum limitation). So my card does the same, will boost up to about 2060 or so then settle back down to 2030 or 2050. I have not adjusted anything other than running the slave bios and the boost on clock and mem. Strangely, I had a few locks/crashes when trying to stress test so I may be beyond limits even with my 75/300. Still working on trying to find the sweet spot... Also, as far as Speedfan, it's a fail... does not recognize my X370 Strix MB, sees no temps other than the SSD and HD. Woot! :-)

I had a kingpin in my basket, but couldn't ship it to Australia.., good grief.., lost it because of postage..., its 2017 not 1917. Cheers
