glimerman ok guys as for fans i went with a Noctua NF-F12 iPPC-2000 PWM Fan with Focused Flow™ and SSO2 Bearing, its 25 on newegg. it is a 4 pin so i pluged it into my mother board on a case temp sensor ,after i missed with it a little i have it running at 1000rpm at night on idle and when i fire up my gfx and the case warms up it goes to 1900rpm ,its quiet and moves air nice,i have ran a corsair fan the new ones with the levitation when they came out and for some reason it would not work with my mother bored, all other corsair fans do ,but this fan was either off or full speed , and it is loud at full speed not as bad as stock but loader then the noctua.. now as for hooking a 3 pin up and controlling it by the procession x software i cant do it . i called evga and they told me it is 100 percent power if you hook it to the card. some guys here say they have it working on curve ,ya you can set a curve but have u seen the rpms in the bottom even show up ? i cant get mine to work off the card unless full power .
No rpm is registered because the cable EVGA uses from the pump has only two pins. Two pins only uses power and ground. The EVGA cable would need 3 pins to get a rpm reading. But I 100% guarantee you I've been using the gpu fan curve in Precision to control both my fans based on gpu temperature. It must use voltage to regulate the signal. 2 wires= pwr & grnd 3 wires= pwr & grnd + tach(rpm) 4 wires= pwr & grnd + tach + pwm The GPU fan curve in the picture below is how I have mine setup. It works exactly like in the picture. I know it works because I monitor it with the Precision OSD and monitor program.
So you can control the radiators fan because you changed to Cougar 3 pin fan ? Now iam really dont understand , evga said that the radiator fan cant be controlles via Precision

No, the kind of fan shouldn't matter. I removed the stock EVGA fan because I knew it was loud so I never tried it with Precision. I Installed two Cougar fans(3pin) in push/pull with a splitter plugged into the EVGA cable coming from the pump on the gpu. The picture I posted above is my fan curve. It works exactly how I have it set. Don't know why or how, but it does. The gpu pump runs at 100% all the time but the fan(s) can be controlled.

No, not even 6 inches away in open case / test bench I can hear that the fan is running / it is Not totally silent Seems on par with my Corsair AIO CPU cooler, with stock fans There are other PCs in same room -- room has background noise The 24 inch portable box fan across the room makes more noise

i see alot of post about fans but the build that im going with is going to be using multiple corsair hd rgb fans so if i want them to be in sync with each other i wont be able to plug it in to the gpu since theres no controlling the rgbs through precision right? ill just have to run them through the motherboard or fan hub?

Yes, with EVGA Precision software you cant control the fans led.

AS noise is subjective, I tried to compare my radiator fan to the GPU "blower" fan inside the card On my Open test bench: my ear about 6 inches away from fans My "blower" fan inside the GPU is 58% - 60% speed and the level of sound at the radiator is about the same or less - and a different pitch lower than the blower fan. I think the blower fan is noisier and a more objectionable higher pitch sound The radiator fan speed is controlled by the GPU - stock, which is the way I'm running mine. If you move the rad fans to a different controller and force a higher RPM - you'll probably get more noise I like the EK Vardar F4-120ER (2200 RPM) in my custom loops - they run 100% speed for best performance - yes you can hear them AT about 2 inches with Radio shack sound level meter 33-2055 Room 57 dB C GPU blower fan 80 dB C stock EVGA Radiator Fan / push - through the radiator 73 dB C stock EVGA Radiator Fan / push - behind/ before the radiator 76 dB C Corsair AIO CPU cooler H110i 280mm (not sure of the RPM right now) stock fans /push through the radiator 67 dB C behind/ before the radiator 75 dB C Hope this Helps

Still no word on a kit for the FTW3? I would really assume that they would make a kit available, even if it looked just like the SC version.

Just to follow up regarding controlling the radiator fan(s) with Precision XOC. Here is a screen shot with the OSD from Precision showing fan speed. I have it set to 80% up to 50C.

petmic10 : ok im going out of town i will pull mine apart and retest the fan , in 2 days I will know for certain if it works if i set the curve to shut off at 35c and turn on at 38c low and 40c full speed , i looked at your screen shots mine can say that also its the fan usage on the video card fan, you have to select the ones you want to show on the onscreen ... i hope your right but evga when i called 2 different people say it will run at full speed connected to the card any fan ,, did you try setting it 0 percent fan speed at 36c or 38c what ever to see if they shut off completely . lol btw no idea why im worrying about this i can run mine full speed and not even hear it my room noisy guess it just a point we want to learn on this awesome very expensive card. and nice over clock btw brother i was trying to catch some of your scores last night on super position ,i came close but i cant get 100mgz i get 92mgz ,100 starts to crash me out .on memory i can hit 550 max but the sweet spot seems to be 500 . try fire strike i would love to see if the 100 will hold up and what you score would be :)

Sounds good. It would be nice if someone else can confirm the fan is controllable. I'm starting to feel like people don't believe me. The fan(s) is absolutely controllable. There is no rpm signal but it shows a fan percentage(%) and it adjusts based on temperature. Not sure why EVGA would keep saying you can't because I've been using that curve for a week. Maybe they are talking about the pump speed? That is always a 100%. I haven't tried setting it to 0% because I never needed to. The curve works like I want but I guess I could to see if it shuts the fan off. Anyway, I'm really enjoying this card. It's powerful and runs really cool.

If you order it from EVGA EU or US website the price will contain the VAT,TAX what your destination country uses/need. Sadly i cant order tax free, at here we have to pay for the tax/vat, and if you order it from EU EVGA website the price will contain the tax/vat.

They called and asked to confirm my billing and shipping address and also what I ordered. Maybe because my billing and shipping address were different?
I talked with costumer service, they said there will be no phone verification because its not necesarry. My order marked as orderd shipped, but dont have tracking number yet :)
Nice! You must be excited.
I even can't say how much iam excited :) maybe you will help me about OC ? ;)
Sure. It's not too hard. Just have to take small steps with your overclock. Increase the gpu core say 25Mhz, than test. If it passes, increase it again and repeat until it crashes and than back it down a little and re-test. After the gpu core is stable move to the memory and do the same. Keep an eye on the voltage during stress testing. If it jumps around a lot you need to increase the voltage slider in Precision to stabilize it.

You got one?
Yes, i ordered it. But under my orders section it doesnt show my phone number, its interesting because i wrote it to the billing and shipping information, and under my profile its there to.
I also bought yesterday and without a shipping number.
