thank you guys im going to try this out . and also see if i can set the rad  fan in the evga procesion x program in a little bit

In Precision with the stock radiator fan ,you can only adjust the vrm's fan.

i got that adjusted is there anyway to do ant fan from the precision program ? for the gpu  rad part? in some posts i seen some guys say its working ,i got a nutaka 2000 rpm pressure fan and the stock fan here

Via Precision you can only adjust the vrm's fan. The stock radiator fan's curve can't be adjusted via Precision. If you replace the fan with an rpm fan, and plug it to your motherboard, i think you can adjust it. Ask some who is changed the stock fan.

The radiator fan can be adjusted via Precision.

I've been using it for a couple of days now. It adjusts based on gpu temperature. The only curve that can't be adjusted on the Hybrid is the memory fan curve.

does it run with half that voltage or you have to max it out

It does but the voltage tends to jump around more at half the voltage. I set it to full and the voltage is steadier.

Is it a 3 pin fan? If not, you need an adapter.

But it should work once it's connected.

More stress testing. +100 GPU, +500 Memory

Very stable. I think I'm done pushing it.

It's not just me right?
The fan on the radiator is rather loud. It's actually the loudest fan in my case.

The first thing I did was swap the fan out. It's loud.

I use these. They are a good overall fan. Quiet(16.6 DB @ 12V), good air pressure(1.74) for rads and a high cfm rating. I'm very pleased with these.

Those are all good fans and will be much better than the stock EVGA fan.

It's better when radiator is mounted with tubing at the bottom so air doesn't go into pump.

Are you sure? I see builds with tubing at the bottom and at the top but I dunno what's better. Anyway thanks so much for the info. I will try and will make some tests. Done

Yep, you are right. The stock fan is superloud in my opinion. I changed it for one Corsair HD120 RGB too.

It's the loudest fan i ever had too. I think is lil sad that you have to expend close to 1000 €/$ to replace the stock fan in the first test.

Re: EVGA 1080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid 2017/08/15 02:34:14 (permalink)
My first feelings about this graphic card:

1. The look is spectacular in all the ways. Only they could add some RGB led on the radiator fan too.
2. It's a beast if you know how to OC.
3. Super? Expensive graphic card.
4. Fastest out stock in Europe.
5. Pathetic and loudest fan stock of the radiator I ever had. I had to replace it. Sounds like an helicopter when the 2 fans are ON (I recommend disconect the fan of the radiator at the graphic card and conect it to the motherboard directly).
6. I still thinking the fan of the graphic card could me less noisy too being one GPU with watercooling.
7. I will continue making performance tests.
8. Don't take this opinions as personal. It's only what I think.

I recommend you: Corsair, Bequiet, Noctua, Cougar, Silverstone, etc. Good brands. Good products. Starting with 17 dBA... till the fan noise of your FTW3 Hybrid

I suggest to look CORSAIR ML120, EKWB Vardar EVO 2200 RPM.
They are new fans from EKWB. You can choose Black or some other colour.
It's bad because no nice video clips to show noise of CORSAIR Magnet Levitation fans, I doubt they are so silent as some video test show up. You hear nothing.

You have variation in colors, EKWB Vardars are 1850 or 2200 depend you want.
CORSAIR ML120 PWM is 400-2400 RPM.
For pressure I would choose one of these two models.

These are good models too. But the most important is control the dBA. The Corsair ML120 PWM moves btw 16 - 37 dBA and the EKWB rotates till 33.5 dBA, no forgeting the RPM ofc.

Thank you all of your advices, but i think i have to search i fan which has 3 pin connection, because if i know right the gpu needs a 3 pin connection.

Or you can do what i did:
"5. Pathetic and loudest fan stock of the radiator I ever had. I had to replace it. Sounds like an helicopter when the 2 fans are ON (I recommend disconect the fan of the radiator at the graphic card and conect it to the motherboard directly)."
I'm testing it in that way and all seems stable anyway

Think i should search for a 3 pin fan. I cant connect a 4 pin to the gpu :)

Connecting to the motherboard is good but motherboards usually adjust based on cpu temperature. You would be controlling your gpu based on cpu temps. It works but it is not as precise. I rather have the fan(s) spin based on gpu temps. Works better in my opinion.

ok guys as for fans i went with a Noctua  NF-F12 iPPC-2000 PWM Fan with Focused Flow™ and SSO2 Bearing, its 25 on newegg. it is a 4 pin so i pluged it into my mother board on a case temp sensor ,after i missed  with it a little i have it running at 1000rpm at night on idle and when i fire up my gfx and the case warms up it goes to 1900rpm ,its quiet and moves air nice,i have ran a corsair fan the new ones with the levitation when they came out and for some reason it would not work with my mother bored, all other corsair fans do ,but this fan was either off or full speed , and it is loud at full speed not as bad as stock but loader then the noctua..
now as for hooking a 3 pin up and controlling it by the procession x software i cant do it . i called evga and they told me it is 100 percent power if you hook it to the card. some guys here say they have it working on curve ,ya you can set a curve but have u seen the rpms in the bottom even show up ? i cant get mine to work off the card unless full power .

My thoughts about the card.
1 looks awesome
2. fastest card i ever had so far i just pulled out my 1080ti sc black card .this card hands down beats it .
i cant hit the 100 over clock mine is stable at 96  ,and ram 400. ran tons of bench marks at this speed no crashes at all but when i push 100 it crashes.
3.temps are awesome max out is about 52 c for me .i have a huge case and tons of air movement and my sc black 1080ti would hit 71c .
normal running in most games it dont break 45c
4.havent set it up on my tv to do 4k yet but im sure this card will handle it fine
5.bottom line if you are going to spend 750 on a card and have a extra 100 but this water cooled card it looks and runs perfect i love it :)

No rpm is registered because the cable EVGA uses from the pump has only two pins. Two pins only uses power and ground. The EVGA cable would need 3 pins to get a rpm reading.  But I 100% guarantee you I've been using the gpu fan curve in Precision to control both my fans based on gpu temperature.  It must use voltage to regulate the signal.

2 wires= pwr & grnd
3 wires= pwr & grnd + tach(rpm)
4 wires= pwr & grnd + tach + pwm

The GPU fan curve in the picture below is how I have mine setup. It works exactly like in the picture. I know it works because I monitor it with the Precision OSD and monitor program.
