Was having a hard time finding reviews on this card, but all I wanted to know was can you set a fan curve for the RADIATOR fan when it is connected to the card's 3pin connector (I assume it's 3pin, I'm not sure on that either)?  I currently have two 980ti Hybrid's (very first ones) and you could NOT control fan speed of the radiator fan, only the fan on the card itself.  I ended up getting a NZXT Grid+ V2 to set the fan curves for both (based on gpu temps) and it has worked well for me.  Thinking of upgrading to a 1080ti Hybrid FTW3 (to get rid of SLI) and while I could use it with the Grid+ too it would be nice to get rid of it as one less app to run at start up.

No, the factory radiator fan is not setup to be custom curved with EVGA Precision OCX

Those who want control usually just move the fan to another source, however GPU temp control becomes the issue

My FTW3 Hybrids are happy at full load on factory fan curve for radiator fan

Stock fans, open case / test bench

Does the radiator fan have a curve now?  On my 980ti Hybrid's, if the fan is plugged into the card's connection they just run 100% all the time.

If you're willing to plug the fan into a motherboard header you can control it there with any software you want.

Alternatively you can buy a quieter static pressure optimized fan and connect that to the card.  Noctua and Corsair would both be good mainstream choices; and they both have either low RPM versions or Low Noise Adapters (basically just a resistor).

Speaking of resistors, if you want to quiet the fan down on the cheap you can buy one of These and stick it in-between the fan and GPU fan connector (NA-SRC10's have a higher resistance and will slow the fan down more).

Can someone recommend a good static pressure fan with 3 pin connection?

    This caught my eye
I'll try and see if we can get an Official EVGA response to the radiator fan (I'm volunteer moderator in forms only)
    - Does it have a factory temp curve or is it fixed RPM

I've elevated this question -- hope to see an Official EVGA response explaining how radiator fan is controlled

Cool, thanks!  Honestly I didn't even realize you were a moderator, I just didn't see what I was looking for on that page :)

That seems like a perfect way to sum it up, maybe just add "Does the radiator fan have a factory temp curve or is it fixed RPM"

So seems like radiator fan is always full speed.
Sounds like the only option is to use aftermarket PWM fan and plug it into mobo.
Anyone knows the spec (CFM, max rpm) on stock fan.
What is the best alternative, when I was doing research on CPU AIO replacement fans Cooler Master Quiet Series, went to the top, quite satisfied with them. Of course there was Noctua, but based on test it wasn't as quiet and had lower rpm/cfm.

    They actually have two models
    PWM

And 3 pin one, I guess that would be just direct drop in replacement for stock fan but no control.

    Just ordered Performance Edition
    http://us.coolermaster.com/product/Detail/cooling/silenciofp/SilencioFP120PWMPE.html

Can go up to 2400rpm, extra rpm should be handy if extra cooling is needed, unfortunately it's back ordered everywhere, might take a week or so to get.
